There is a lot involved, but if you take it step by step, it's a pretty simple process. I would suggest starting with the Customization Tutorial Index.

Then, if you don't find an answer there, search in this forum and you'll probably see where someone has experienced the same thing.

If not, ask again in this thread and we'll try to help you.

Enjoy!

Do actually mean design or do you mean print off your computer and apply to a minifig?

EDIT: Sorry impshadows you were uploading your message when I was writing!

I really want to make decals but I don't know how! I already did a post on this and ImpirialShadows told me to look at a tutorial and if I was still confused to make another topic. I'm still confused! Please help me!

If you don't tell us what you're confused about, nobody will be able to help. Did you not understand the tutorial, or could you not find it? If you're confused about life in general, can't really help you there...

i taught myself how to make them at first then got guidence from IS, my guru... you shouldn't have really opened another thread, but i understand your desparate for help, maybe an admin will come along to merge your topics, maybe not...

i used paint, its rather simple.

find a custom on one of these pages, copy it paste it into paint. now all you really want from it is it template (the outer edge) so when you go to print it is the right size and shape.

seeing as you have taken someone elses work make sure you credit them in your creations after.

once you have your blank template go to work on the major out lines aka a jacket or what ever, try zooming in to get presise placement on a dot by dot level also try for at least two dots for black lines, normally three works best. btw cut tool is yoiu new best friend as you can select areas and copy paste them, or even flip and rotate them, this saves a lot of time, A LOT!

for starters however, go back to your other topic and copy one of IShadows pics in his Signiture (the bottom of his post) look at some of the techniques used and note how he does certain things, after that look up a design by Luxor V, and do the same. think about what type you like more for your design.

now you have a little more of an idea of how to draw your own design. have a go, the fastest way to learn is trial and error, but when you save your work save it as a PNG file, this way the colours will not get mucked up.

now if you need more help please post your questions in this thread or pm me i will be happy to help! p.s. sorry if i explained things too simple but i have no idea of your knowledge level, age etc so i played it safe!

look forward to your creation, post it here when your done, im sure we'll all love to see it

regards Cpt. PB
