Hope everyone can find a copy! Same thing here. The second they became available (or rather, the second I got through the queue), I ordered my 2. Still available now, we'll see if it stays that way much longer.
January 1, 20232 yr I'd prefer to get the 501st pack from a physical store, but apparently Target is only selling it online and Walmart doesn't even have a listing on its site. I guess its for the best though, as I've unfortunately gotten more than one resealed box with no minifigs from Target just after release.
January 2, 20232 yr I reckon the regular TIE looks really good with the new style of cockpit. I hope they use it for the upcoming interceptor, and if they do, I might buy some more pieces and copy the design onto the regular TIE.  Picture: Me holding the newer cockpit onto the front of the regular TIE (haven’t figured out how to attach it effectively): https://ibb.co/tz8P6Md

If it looks dramatically different I’ll probably invest in that newer scale versionÂ

I had no problem picking one up at my local Target yesterday, there were 5 or 6 still on the shelf too. As far as getting ripped off, well I would never buy a resealed set without verifying the contents in-store, I have done this many times before as well, or getting it at a substantial discount.
January 3, 20232 yr None of the stores near me have gotten any 501st sets, one of which might have just been sold out already, so I just ordered my first copy of the new 501st Battle Pack on Amazon. I’m not in a huge rush to get multiples but I know I’ll wind up with at least ten by the time the set retires.

Now I face the daunting task of getting myself and my friend one of those... maybe I'll ask to keep two for me at the supermarket.
January 5, 20232 yr Update/correction from @lego_minecraft_goat: "No mechs, minifigure packs (in that weird packaging, plus the piece count is very big for one). Microfighters: very unlikely, maybe 75363." Additionally, 75363 does not have the same box size as 75368, 75369, and 75370; 75363 is (14.1cm x 12.2cm x 4.6cm), while the other three are (14.1cm x 4.5cm x 15.7cm).Â
January 5, 20232 yr Received and built my 2 copies of the 501st pack. The figures are the real highlight and are of course excellent. After having the helmets in-hand I find the complaints about them completely absurd, they look excellent. The macros are nice as well, though they really needed just a black line printed on them. That said, the build doesn't slouch either. I've always argued that lego should try to make canon stuff for the battle packs, and while undersized, I think this is miles better than some random garbage. It's also surprisingly well-built, and the most fun spring shooter integration I've seen in some time.
January 7, 20232 yr @THELEGOBATMANÂ Thanks for updating the main 2023 News Thread - looks like September will have a few more sets in the higher price ranges.

Battlepacks have been 19cm long/wide. They seems more square like the old diorama sets (final duel I &II were 14.4x14.4 f.e.) Brickheadz are usually thicker (>6cm)

It's interesting. My guess is that they're show related, since they've generally kept to only doing august 1st and the fall D2C for 2HY. Either "spoilery" stuff from Mando/Ahsoka or just the main ship from Skeleton Crew since IIRC it's rumored to come out in late 2023. 5 hours ago, betaplayer said: Do these sizes resemble any existing boxes we know of so far? January 8, 20232 yr The August list this year is extremely intriguing. Six sets under 40€ (with four of them at 15€), and a single set priced at 160€, with no in-betweens. There's also Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew coming out, so those will possibly have some sets. I still really hope we get more Andor sets.

Where are you looking to see a list of all the Star Wars sets for this year?  I could not see it on the first page.  For me if the rumour about the Ghost returning to the Ashoka series is true then I would love to see The Ghost get done justice, for me the lack of interior of the first one was extremely disappointing, I think either a large D2C or an UCS like the Razor Crest is the only way to do that ship justice on both the exterior and interior.  Not to mention that it would need to be able to dock the smaller ship (I forget the name) to the back of it. I do not know what the Skeleton Crew is, but I was under the impression that Star Wars Acolyte was releasing this year?Â

Skeleton Crew is a series about four kids lost in space, with Jude Law playing their "teacher". It's been created by Jon Watts, Jon Favreau, and Dave Filoni, with an official 2023 release date (they've even revealed first footage in a recent Disney+ snippet). The Acolyte doesn't actually have a release date, even a vague one. They've started filming recently, and it's very exciting, but the series seems much bigger and more demanding than your average Disney+ project, so it may take them a while. Insiders say that it could arrive in more-or-less a year.

Brilliant, I'll take a look!  That actually sounds quite interesting but not the usual style, I am surprised I haven't heard about it as I am a huge SW fan.  It seems to be a different approach than the usual though. Okay, that makes sense then.  I mean for me it has been the most anticipated series since it's announcement and it has so much potential.  Getting to see both the Sith and Jedi in live action pre ROTS excites me so much.  Just having the Jedi at the height of their power with numbers behind them and the Jedi Temple will be awesome to see again.  Maybe we'll even get a new lightsaber colour who knows.Â

But to be honest, the only one I care about apart from the masterpiece that is Andor. Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni's approach is just "shove more nostalgia and Clone Wars characters into this", which I absolutely hate. So I couldn't care less about The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, or Skeleton Crew.

But somehow, we got appearances from: Luke Skywalker, R2-D2, Ahsoka Tano, Boba Fett, and Bo-Katan Kryze with her squad. And yes, some of them, like Bo-Katan, feel like an understandable addition. But awful Cyborg Luke, or "look-I'm-also-here" Ahsoka were completely unnecessary. Nostalgia baits at their worst. Edited January 8, 20232 yr by THELEGOBATMAN

Ahsoka was mostly featured to set up her own show  We knew there was going to be a sequel series to Rebels ever since that epilogue showed that all of the main cast (except for Kanan) survived past ROTJ, and I thought it made perfect sense for her to show up in Mando. It's the correct timeframe (briefly after ROTJ), and as the only surviving (former) Jedi other than Luke and Ezra she was a good choice to explain Grogu's backstory. To me, it felt pretty natural.
January 8, 20232 yr Sorry to interrupt the discussion on star wars shows, but anyone else get a misprint like this? The blue ink went outside the lines a bit and just didn't fully fill in the space.

That's one of my biggest problems with the second season — it was a launching platform for other Disney+ series. It felt like the main storyline got lost in that sometimes, and the finale was bloody awful. And let's be honest, Ahsoka is in literally everything Dave Filoni has created. I hated her inclusion in The Mandalorian, but at the very least she had some kind of purpose there. Why was she in The Book of Boba Fett? Because Filoni. That's the only reason.

January 8, 20232 yr Aren't all the post ROTJ series setting up for a huge series where everyone is all together or something? Â I'm sure I read that somewhere, kind of how marvel did with the Avengers just on a larger scale.
