I don't tend to buy more than one of any set, and when I do it's battlepacks or minifigs. I have recently broken this rule however as I've ordered a second dark trooper attack,

Exactly the same for me. I restrict myself to one of each set excluding small army builders, though I branched out slightly when I bought a second dark trooper attack (though it kinda is still a small army builder).

I hope swamp speeder is not blue

I highly doubt it. Despite the popularity of making legion-themed variants of vehicles, LEGO has never done this themselves except for the few edge cases of AT-RTs, BARC speeders, and now the new red Gunship, but all of these appear in canon media. We're not getting themed fighter tanks, swamp speeders, or anything like that. No chance of a 501st gunship or whatever.

Same here, with exception of some starfighters, as I really like to have doubles of smaller crafts or mod them to make a unique ship (bought two of the newest Red 5 X-wing's to turn one into Wedge's Red 2).

for me in swamp speeder Vaughn and 1 332nd tropper would be enough. Instead of antoher 2 332nd troopers I prefer 2 battle droids. Im weird

atleast vaughn have his badge on torso. Maybe new head for him?

How many coruscant gunships would you guys plan on getting, if at all? Would that number be different if it was a plain gunship?

As a fun side, what’s the highest number of  a single set you’ve gotten before, and what was it? Excluding battle packs.

I'll probably get 1, it's very cool and if we had recently had a playscale gunship i'd be SUUUUPER hyped for a coruscant gunship. If it were a normal one i'd have gotten like 3 though because i don't have any of the old ones and I really don't want to have any of the older ones. So slightly dissappointed purely by the timing of the coruscant gunship.

Aside from battlepacks i don't buy many of full sets but i'm going to buy a second AT-TE for my army soon. They're about 20% off from a lot of UK stores right now so that's quite nice. (they're going for £93, which is about $116)

I personally wouldn't want them to but I wouldn't say that it's too weird an opinion. To me B1s really don't count as minifigs, they are just simple parts so they feel like they add less value.

Is there any confirmation that we won't get any droids in that set?

Seems weird to me not to get any bad guys/droids, similar to the 501st "battlepack" from 2020, especially considering the price and low piece count of that set.

The question will be how they incorporate them into sets…

Turbo Tank? Arc-170?

I feel like we need clone pilots and clone commandos more than any new legions/commanders

My thoughts on the individual sets:

  • Swamp speeder: Not the legion I would‘ve picked, but it goes nicely with the previous S7 TCW sets they‘ve released. I don‘t have high expectations for the speeder itself, but it could be a decent (albeit small) model.
  • Yoda‘s Jedi Starfighter: YAWN. Just as bland as expected.
  • Republic Gunship: No new characters, but at least ones we haven‘t seen in a while! I like the colour scheme of that particular Gunship version too.
  • The Ghost: Sounds neat, even though the minifig selection could be more exciting. Jacen is the main standout.
  • T-6: Glad to hear Huyang is included! Definitely among the most exciting minifigs here.
  • Unknown Ahsoka set: Ezra and Thrawn are nowhere to be seen it serms, but it still has potential.
  • Venator: Unexpected, but I‘ll take it! Still need to figure out where to put it. A TCW UCS set of that caliber throws a wrench into all of my plans

Uh oh. Now that the hunger for Cody and Rex has been satiated, I see there‘s the next target on the rise :laugh_hard:

Very happy to see a new version of the Ghost!!! With exactely 50% more pieces than the 2014 version, we can only expect this to be bigger and more detailed, probabily similar to thee 75257 Millenium Falcon. Owning the old one (and intending to buy the new one), can it be wise to sell it before the official release?

I don't remember if this has been answered yet, but what rebel pilots are coming with Yavin IV? I'm still missing a Wedge and am hoping he comes here.

2-3 pilots

First UCS X Wing picture has leaked in the usual place. You can't see the full ship, but it looks... odd at first glance. The engines seem a little disproportionate. Otherwise it looks fine I guess, I look forward to the full reveal, likely on 4/8.

The engine intakes are larger, the nose looks slightly more complex than before, and they at least tried to recreate the hexagonal shape... But it doesn't taper towards the front at all. I've seen a lot of MOCs that look better.

Thoughts on the x-wing:

Why is the nose white???

Did they really use a R2-D2 minifig again thats completely out of scale with the rest of the model?

Nah that's R2-petite2, Artoo's smaller cousin

And they have the perfect part with the new 3*3 dome as well.

Where are people seeing this?

Instagram, Legoleaks

x wing was an odd choice to begin with given the amount of things that havent gotten 1 ucs render let alone 3 now

but i thought if they can knock it out of the park, for gods sakes they made a landspeeder a drop dead gorgeous set, it would not be for nothing

but no

at least we are getting a venator later tho!

Interesting X-Wing leak (if true). Only poor thing I can call out is the grey nose. The picture angle is odd, but I am waiting for full judgement until all the images. LEGO picks these odd angles for their sets, so I feel a better set of images is worth waiting for at this point. The small astromech doesn't bother me. I liked how it integrated on the 2018 UCS Y-Wing so that is a-ok with me.

New x-wing looks like very large playscale version of 50$ x wing, I mean it doesn’t look like UCS at all.

I didn't realize smaller leaks were allowed there too, that's a perfect solution.

I tried to tighten down what was posted there and we had almost nothing posted last year. I say we loosen the restrictions a little and see if we can find a better balance. So yes, feel free to post smaller leaks there.

That's a little odd, because the Disney 100th Anniversary Brickheadz are being sold normally, and is also $40, plus there's been two Harry Potter four packs and a Donald Duck + Huey, Dewey and Louie four pack.  One of the HP packs is just four professors, and I feel like the Endor characters would be just as popular (if not more) than them.

Is it possible that it's just an early release at Celebration and will be generally available otherwise?  I just ask because there was no other indication of it being an exclusive, but at the same time, it's not listed with the other Brickheadz on LEGO.com (it doesn't even have a "coming soon" thing, it just has a "buy" button that I didn't try and click).  The numbering also follows normal Brickheadz, have previous convention exclusives gotten special numbering?

It doesn’t say that they’re early releases, like other products in the article are, although it’s possible the person writing the article just made a mistake.
