With that said I am formally requesting the GWP be a Babu Frick, Dexter, or Nien Numb as I feel I am personally owed one upon rewatching the entire saga.

I'd want Mon Mothma since we're literally getting the Yavin IV Base and she's not in it for some reason.

We can save Dexter for the NEEDED 30th Anniversary of AOTC UCS Dexter's Diner in 2032 and YES i said UCS NOT MBS. It must be 7000 pieces, the size of your average coffee table in footprint and about 3 feet tall. It will come with 2 figures. Dexter Jettster and a spare Dexter Jettster. As he obviously has a clone and that's why he knows the Kaminoans.

And unironically we could save Nien Numb for the next Millenium Falcon.

I don't see them redoing the Home One set from 2009 and I don't see them remaking the Yavin IV set for a very long time so giving us Mon Mothma as a GWP would be very nice of lego.

As a side note, Lifebricks claims to have images of the GWP but he's waiting for something (IDK what) before he can upload his video.

EDIT: If he's not wrong, then apparently the $85 one would be top 5 of all time. Which knowing lifebricks means one of 3 things: It's something to do with an imperial shuttle, it's something to do with babu frick or it's something clone wars related.

IT BETTER BABU FRICKEN NOT BEBU BABU FRICK

Mon should absolutely not be a promo! She is both too important as a character and appears too often (RotJ, Rebels, R1, Andor, Ahsoka) to be an exclusive. There are plenty of sets that she could appear in, such as Rebel/NR starfighters, dioramas ("Many Bothans died. . . "), etc.

Maybe an obscure-but-popular Clone? 🤔

Well if lifebricks is correct, then it's not a figure so it wouldn't be that.

IDK What it could even be if it's not "brick built" or a figure (according to Lifebricks). It must be something pretty original to be lego but not include bricks or figures lol.

All I can think of is some kind of like special sticker sheet? Maybe something to customise the UCS gunship or something?

It could be a singular brick of some kind but idk what kinda brick they could think is worth an $85 gwp. Maybe part of a minifig that would otherwise never make it into a set? some kind of amazing cape?

GAAAAAAH the tension.

The Beskar keychain comes to mind. I wouldn't expect anything super cool like the things you suggested

If it's not a minifig or build then it could be a metal keyring like the beskar ingot or carbonite Han. Or maybe a poster/print like they did for the Landspeeder last year?

Nien Numb

There's nothing out that I'm after at the moment but I would find $85 of sets to get for a Nien Nunb figure.

I don't know how lifebricks came to be regarded as a source of any potential information. The whole thing this guy had going for him was early access to January 2023 sets because some store had them for sale ahead of schedule. All info he provides is some clickbaity speculations based on general sentiments circulating in certain parts of the fandom or "leaks" from some alleged sources (obiously fishy, why would someone with insider knowledge go to a guy that freshly started?). All he does is racking up views to boost his channel, but in no way is he a credible source of any kind.

May the 4th promos leaked.

X-Wing Polybag, Death Star Data card/plans, and the mini-Death Star build.

Nothing special here unfortunately, but I do appreciate the Death Star. It’s neat and good when you temper expectations.

But, it does not get me hyped to purchase Lego Star Wars over that period, though.

If I was making the decisions, a desirable GWP is beyond essential. You’d literally get us all forking out $150 (or equivalent), and often more than once. The investors would be all over it too. Strange choices imo.

That being said, it certainly could be worse.

no more paz vizsla for y'all that missed out, rip.

hopefully thrawn is in the next episode, or is in the post credit, i want him to be near his art collection from the back, he turns his head, his glowing red eyes reveal, and it cuts.

Death Star Data card/plans,

Is it plastic Lego card?

No lego studs or anything, just normal plastic.

It seems like detail for window in Lego

GWPs aren’t bad to be honest, but unfortunately not enough to get me to splurge on LSW in May.

After watching that latest Mandalorian episode, I feel so disappointed in the minifigure lineup for that Fang Fighter set - but the rest of the year’s sets are so good that I’m happy to overlook it. I wonder what ever happened to that Mando S3 set Lego Fulcrum was teasing a few months back. Either they were mistaken or this will instead be a 2024 set.

Overall, whilst the builds of the Fang Fighter vs. TIE Interceptor set are phenomenal and that Bo Katan figure is awesome, I’d say coverage of Mandalorian Season 3 this year has been fairly weak overall in terms of characters and figures. I do hope we get a spoiler set next year that gives us

Grogu in his IG-12 suit, the new Imperial Supercommandos, Gideon in the 4th Gen Dark Trooper Suit, and the Praetorian Guards

I get what you’re saying, but equally, we are still missing one episode (without saying anymore due to spoilers this episode). Plus, after watching this episode just I think the criticism is harsh.

Moreover, I think there’s a pretty obvious candidate for next year in this episode (and in most the other episodes too) in which you might see some of the figures I assume you’re desiring (as we all are! ;) )

Great spot! I knew I’d heard this from somewhere previously when watching!

Most likely pushed back, or cancelled of course. The former I think.

Oh for sure, I’ve no doubt we’ll get these missing characters sooner rather than later :D

You and me both. I look forward to it immensely.

I actually really like the coin death star gwp thingy, but only an exclusive minifigure can justify me paying 150 euros for AT-TE in the LEGO store that's 120 euros in the retail store and 112 euros on bricklink. So it's gonna be a pass from me.

Spoiler

Imperial supercommandos and so many mandalorians make me really excited for potential battle packs next year.

That DSII looks bad. It would be fine for a polybag, but not as $150 promo!

I need all of these - Especially a Battle Pack (maybe a 3/1 figure split?)!

$85 coin is a weird choice, just do a promo fig or mini build, but sure. Looks cool. I'll get the throne room on the 4th so I will end up with this and the X-wing.

That death star though... does not look great, especially for a $160 threshold.

Wholly agree here, it's frustrating to see how much hype he's able to peddle despite most of his content being literal clickbait.

The GWPs themselves look pretty disappointing to me. The X-wing polybag was a given, but the DS2 seems so underwhelming for that price threshold. It looks like it should be free with $70, like the recent easter basket promo that was about the same size. I'm also not impressed with these explicitly non-lego products as gifts, so the card/coin thing is a miss for me.

Hopefully the x2 VIP setup is better than last year's.

Interesting promos. The DSII....just doesn't do it for me at 150. If it had a figure, maybe.

The DS plans, interesting. I want to see them in hand.

Glad to get the X-Wing though, that is a quite nice build in my opinion.

I am actually a big fan of the death star plans GWP! Would have been cool if it was a keychain perhaps like the beskar last year but still very cool

DS2 build isn't really too impressive and could totally be built with just spare parts (with the exception of the 40th aniv plaque) Should have come with a minifig at the $150+ promo point...

So at this point are there any 2023 sets we still don't have names/descriptions for? I don't remember any but I'm not sure of I might have missed anything.

We're still not sure about the other ahsoka set (the one that isn't her shuttle)
