I dont see any discounts at all in Sweden, think this was a general bad may the fourth. And dont see any 5x vip points like in other regions. But happilly enough the promo was bad so dont care much that I didnt bought anything this year and I dont have to strain myself as much on my vaccation in Mozambique.

5x vip points, wasn't that in official LEGO stores? Both stores are in the Stockholm area.

Discounts? there is discounts for 4 sets, for vip points on lego.com/en-se .

1300 SEK off The Razor Crestâ„¢

150 SEK off The Mandalorian's N-1 Starfighterâ„¢

120 SEK off Obi-Wan Kenobiâ„¢ vs. Darth Vaderâ„¢

200 SEK off Ambush on Ferrixâ„¢

There are 5x VIP points in Sweden, they only screwed most of Eastern Europe out of them.
Deals are beyond horrible and so are prices, AT-TE is 1800 kr ($175) in the LEGO store and 1274 kr ($123) on the Swedish Amazon. Might as well have $50 over the promo and even if you get it off bricklink you are in plus.

I know that that episode wasn't very well received, but this is just the perfect part for a purist custom Captain Bombardier (from the upcoming theme LEGO DREAMZzz).

There's a LEGO Certified Store in Sydney, Australia that has huge window decals up of the 2012 TIE and X-Wing, and 2012 Luke Skywalker minifigure from the X-Wing. How does this even happen. What a way to celebrate May 4th 2023.

If you ain't in Sweden atm, then maybe it wont show it?

luke from endor diorama will be in 5-10$ book in europe link

Wow, another slap in the face, the endor diorama gets worse and worse doesn't it? Still pretty good for us europeans.

Well was definitely disappointed with the launch on the 1st, and didn't want to brave my store. Missed out on the SSD, after 2 hours of effort, and then the promos because of losing the threshold amount, but happy to stumble onto the SSD at my walmart early, and now I get to build something!

Hopefully it’ll mean another MBS will be coming after this has retired.

Looks like it doesn't include the helmet which is a little annoying (and looks like it's been replaced with the old hairpiece rather than the new one)

Old decals they had sitting around? Did Australia even have Lego stores back in 2012?

Nope. The first one only opened in the last few years (and they've quickly expanded).

Thought so, our Auckland NZ store only opened in 2019 so figured the Australian stores weren't much older.

Out of the 6 new Mando S3 figures we just got in the two new sets: 1 is a new version of a main character we've gotten heaps, one is a cool new character with a new mould (W), one is a new character that had barely any lines but got a relatively cool figure, one has been made countless times before and is only there because it has to be, and two of them are at least almost completely made up by LEGO. I know they were just working off of concept art, but surely they could have done better than that. At the bare minimum, I hope Disney will realise their error and actually let LEGO make some cool figures from the show to release alongside it rather than the sort of stuff we ended up getting this time around.

First, you’ve answered your own question. Lego could not have done better because of Disney.

Second, whilst I certainly will not dismiss criticisms of the minifigure lineup, let’s see what Lego has in store for us in 2024, especially January.

A battle pack, Bo Katan’s Mando Fighter, and a Nevarro Cabin could easily give us great sets and figures.

Battle Pack - Beskar SuperCommando’s and Pretorian Guards

Mando Fighter - Axe Woves, Moff Gideon

Nevarro Cabin - Greef Karga

So, whilst I am speculating here, I think a bit of patience and perspective can go a long way on this matter.

Which 2?

I can place all the figs

Mando - no explanation needed

Grogu - Ditto

Bo Katan - Ditto

Vane - Pirate in episode 1 and 5

Pirate pilot - Ditto

Fleet commander - seen in a minor role in episodes 6,7 and 8, helmed the light cruiser.

Imperial Astromech - seen on plazir 15 ( completely irrelevant to set the set he came in yes, but blame limited concept art)

Tie pilot - not made up by lego but not seen either, beskar troopers appeared to be piloting those ties.

I doubt that will ever happen. Disney (not surprisingly) want as much control as possible over when information from one of their flagship IPs is revealed e.g. the internet breaking reveal of baby Yoda at the end of the Mando pilot episode. Yes merch is important to them - historically so in the case of Star Wars - but with these shows going back to the one episode a week format rather than dropping an entire season all at once, it seems they are back to chasing that water cooler moment and want to avoid spoilers as much as possible.

It's also probable that the information given to Lego was true at the time it was disclosed, and changes were made much later in production - Mando concept art for example hints that a larger space battle in the final episode was planned but never eventuated on screen. Given Lego's speculated 12-18 month lead time on new sets, even if they were told about the changes it might not have happened until after they locked down their own design.

Does anybody know if there stiill is a glimpse of hope for the Jabba's Palace diorama?

Doubt that will happen. This has been an issue from the start with Disney Star Wars. Remember the original Kylo shuttle with it's inaccurate colouring and wings that didn't swing outwards, or Thrawn's rank insignia?

I wasn't including Grogu and Bo-Katan as they just come in the August set. The 6 figures I mentioned respectively were Mando, Vane, Fleet Commander, TIE Pilot, and the two "made up" ones were the pirate pilot and R2-E6. I know the astromech could have been the one on Plazir 15, but we don't know, and it's at least functionally a made up character. Also, the TIEs were piloted by normal pilots, not the new guys.

I just wish they didn't get rid of it, I love seeing those sorts of scenes.

That's why I didn't really phrase it as a question, lol.

Agreed, high hopes for 2024.
