How come we haven't seen any pics of the September sets yet? Wouldn't we atleast see pictures from instruction books by now?

We aren't totally blind on them. There are leaked pics of Hera, Morgan Elsbeth, Commander Fox, as well as Chancellor Palpatine. I'd imagine we might see some set pictures within a few weeks to a month.

For clarity: there is no official leak of the Palpatine figure, but promobricks has confirmed it is the exact same one from the mobile game

I’m still hoping for a Palpatine in blue robes from episode 1.  I think it’s the only live action version we haven’t gotten yet.

I highly doubt they plan to reveal the sets only one week ahead of release. And if they do, they’re basically begging for the sets to be leaked :laugh_hard: There‘d be no way they didn‘t leak beforehand

Similar to Padmé, Palpatine has worn lots of different outfits that we’ve never gotten. (With the Episode IX versions being the most prominent) I do wish we got a different outfit from the same red Revenge of the Sith one in the Gunship, since there’s so many other options they could go with.

I don’t really understand why they don’t get more love from Lego as they’re such prominent characters in SW.  It’s not like we’re not getting obscure characters already, just look at who came in Mos Eisley.

Above all else with Palpatine, I have been dying for a plain, Pre-Emperor Darth Sidious minifigure. Printed shadow on his face or a new hood piece to convey the shadows he hides in.

I personally missed out on Palpatine's Arrest, as I'm sure many else did, so I am hype for his classic red outfit.

Palpatine had at least ten different outfits in the PT (and Padmé had more than 40). Some more variety would be really great.

It’s been too long! I think the reason I’d love episode 1 Palpatine is because it’s the only time he’s actually the Sith apprentice and not the Sith master.  I’m pretty sure Plaigus wasn’t killed until the end of TPM or between TPM & AOTC.

I never even thought of that! Hopefully in the coming years we see Prequel sets break beyond their traditional models and feature some niched, more fleshed out scenes/ships/concepts.

It seems just about every corner of the OT has been covered with even the most obscure characters covered in sets, it's time for the Prequels to get that treatment.

I'm all for a more extensive treatment of the non-clone part of the PT, but there are still some things that I'm missing from the OT   I'm pretty sure I once saw the Outrider fly away from Mos Eisley...

Not sure how it was in Legends, but in canon, it‘s still unclear when exactly Plagueis died. As evil as Palpy is, I doubt he wanted to break the Rule of Two, so I assume he assassinated his master before Maul entered the picture :shrug_oh_well:

Btw, a new encyclopedia is coming out! I wonder who the exclusive minifig is. The silhouette should not be taken at face value, but that is a pretty intriguing looking hairpiece! Hope it‘s a new character rather than a variant

*coughs in Nien Numb*

For that matter, *coughs in exogol duel*

Exclusive figure in the new visual dictionary. Could be interesting, but we don't have anything to go off of yet. Gonna throw a wild guess out there that it's S3 Greef Karga.

The excellent legends book Plagueis goes over this pretty well. Plagueis knows of Maul, and they both intend to simply use him as a weapon, not a true sith, hence his inability to use force lightning or anything of the sort. In the book's finale,

Spoiler

Plagueis is killed the night before Palpatine is elected chancellor. So it's kind of during TPM if that makes sense.

I don't think the silhouettes have always been accurate. Plus, these don't tend to have new molds.

True but if I am to speculate

I'd say that from the silhouette it looks like the pony tail part to me.

The one Gwen Stacy uses in the dail Bugle set.

It's sort of lopsided like that.

Though I'm not who'd use that part. Maybe Sabe, Toryn, Q'ira, or Connix...oh or Meero! Or

People are saying the silhouette on the Harry Potter book was misleading so idk.

So, we get new visual dictionary for 25 years? Therefore we get 25 anniversary sets in 2024? That's awesome

Wow, next year has some great potential on that idea!

But yea, this book doesnt come out until next April 🤣

I really hope we don’t get another anniversary wave. I’d prefer Lego to do sets on things we haven’t had. The whole world is obsessed with remaking things rather than coming up with something a bit new

Obsessed I dont know, rather routine bound, lazy and insecure…

Hopefully the figure isn’t either Luke or Obi-Wan - that would be quite boring with so many versions of them available

It would be cool if it’s a really obscure character but I suspect it’ll be a recognisable character from the prequels or mando

It's not going to happen but I would LOVE if the figure included is Saw Garerra ---with the space marine armor piece. For as many shows ---as well as a game and a movie--- as he has appeared in, he's looong overdue.

Yavin IV, 332nd BP, and Yoda's starfighter still don't seem to be on the Australian LSAH. Harumph. I wanna see what the prices are, particularly with the BP and Yavin, as the US$160-170 sets can be anywhere between AU$250 and 270, and not in order. Like, the AT-AT was 160 and 250, then the Light Cruiser was 160 and 270, then the Justifier was 170 and 260. I wanna know how much money I have to put aside for this thing. And, of course, we all know why the price of the BP is a point of contention.

I totally see a UCS Ghost being in the cards some day, there are just currently way too many outstanding "bank breaking" sets, especially in the SW category. It's a bit overwhelming to me to have 8 sets on shelves right now over $200, especially with the Venator on the way and none of those sets retiring...

Agree with the bank breaking comment. It is really hard to "keep up" with releases. Still haven't got the UCS AT-AT, Landspeeder, Razor Crest and new X-wing. Getting the smaller stuff like the helmets and dioramas.
