I really expected Shin's ship to be grey, lol. But all in all pretty super duper. I want Hyuang to represent David Tennant till Lego do Doctor Who again! With you on the Chewie figure. Ahsoka sets look like a really solid wave, still not Rogue One solid, but damn close. Shuttle needs a wider cockpit piece, nice to see it retains the rotation element. Having a 2 pack is nice, hope they continue with it, the red and yellow are interesting colour choices, nice to see some colour in the SW universe again.
July 19, 20231 yr All the sets look fantastic imo. Couldn't care less about any of those, but I think they are great. The minifigures from Ahsoka are fantastic, and so are the builds. They also don't feel terribly overpriced like most Star Wars sets. Surprised people hate Chewbacca so much. I mean sure, I have no idea why anyone would want to buy it, but judging the set itself, I think it's really well done.
July 19, 20231 yr Chewie...yikes. Ordered the Ghost, too good to miss. The starfighter 2-pack. Pass, decent figures and I like the E-Wing color scheme and functions but it just looks chunky (which may be a function of the actual ship appearance). Ahsoka shuttle...probable pass. Wish there was more too the ship and Sabine just looks kinda bland. The Rebels figure had a lot more going on (which may be a function of the show). Waiting for the gunship images and something for the Venator!
July 19, 20231 yr I have a great deal of questions about the sabine wren figure on the box of the jedi shuttle. I may just be not remembering rebels but an interesting story point is certainly revealed on that box, and I'm not talking about the inquisitor here.
July 19, 20231 yr Author Lego was like, "oh no, everyone hates Chewie. Quick, release the Ahsoka set pics so they forget about it!"

Are you referring to Sabine wielding Ezra's lightsaber? If so thats all over the trailers, and since she was trained to use the dark saber by Kanan and Ezra, she would be about as proficient as a non force user could be with the weapon. As far as deeper meaning to her using a Jedi's weapon, so far there has been no implication that Sabine is actually force sensitive. If that is not what you were referring to then sorry for the micro lore dumpÂ

It was literally in the trailer multiple times and she even alludes to Ahsoka training her.Â
July 19, 20231 yr I do find it humorous that Disney's own innaccuracy of making Ahsoka's Lekku too small (according to the lore and the pre-established look we had in rebels. And yes I know it's because whats-her-name couldn't do all the moves with such a large headpiece, it doesn't mean it's not an innaccuracy) and Lego's own innaccuracy of making Clone Wars Ahsoka's Lekku too big in the AAT and Duel On Mandalore (again, according to the lore and how she looked on screen) means that I can now take the lekku piece off of CW and the new Ahoska, swap them around and actually get Clone Wars and Rebels mostly accurate ahsokas. Although the headband piece on both of them is pretty much wrong for either era. Whether on their original body or the new one. But I'm more willing to ignore that since it's an item of clothing which she could take off and swap around as she pleases. Unlike her actual head. Not perfect but hey, it'll bother me slightly less. July 19, 20231 yr Ashoka show sets are just amazing! Shuttle looks great and has great mini figures too. Never thought we’d get Huyang as minifig after his CW appearance, but here we are. Ashoka herself looks brilliant with printed arms and new lekku, transclear blades work well for her lightsabers. Sabine looks a bit boring though, but still good. Inquisitor is amazing definitely looks like he’s been through some stuff with rusted armor. E-wing set is great as well, but for minifigs only. While ships here look good, I never cared for E-wing itself or Shins fighter. Shin and Baylon are big draw of the set, and look like worthy pickup.  Buildable Chewie is a stuff of nightmares though and someone should call exorcist on it! July 19, 20231 yr Wow! Now we need only double VIP points and/or good GWPs for pre-order later in August.
July 19, 20231 yr Tough choice for me between these sets....but I think I'll pick up the T-6 and Ghost....Shin's Starfighter is one of my faves but Im not as into the E-wing and it's just not as cool as the latter two. Still waiting on the Gunship to confirm these decisions tho!
July 19, 20231 yr I have a question tho...on the back of the box, it looks like the side panels of the T-6 open up....is there room for a figure on each side there??? There's no action feature anywhere on this.
July 19, 20231 yr No arm prints on Sabine while most modern Mandalorian minifigures (especially named characters) in 2023 has them is really disappointing. As a whole, that fig just kinda gets consumed by the brown and looks bland, arm prints could've saved that.
July 19, 20231 yr Whoah, the Ahsoka sets look absolutely fantastic! Not particularly interested in Shin Hati's Starfighter, but I'm intrigued by the E-wing and the pilot  I don't know if I'll actually get these sets, but I'm definitely tempted  Regards, Mitch

Yeah I definitely agree with this, couldn't put my finger on why she seemed less cool to me than I thought she'd be, but this is definitely it. Still a solid selection of figures in the set overall tho imo
July 19, 20231 yr As expected, the three Ahsoka sets are my absolute favourites this year, no other SW sets even come close  The Mando sets were good, but not great, and the others are a bit of a mixed bag. Still can’t believe we’re getting so many new characters here! Sometimes, things sound too good to be true, and yet they aren’t
July 19, 20231 yr This is without a doubt the best set subtheme since Rogue One. The E-wing and Shin's fighter are both out-of-this-world incredible. Shin and Baylon themselves aren't perfect to me, but they aren't bad, and I LOVE the others. The shuttle is losing out from failing to fit all three figs in the cockpit, but for $70 in 2023 it was a sacrifice that needed to be made. I'll be pretty annoyed if they can't lay down in the side panels, though. A shuttle needs to fit more than 1 fig. That said, as a display/play piece, it looks incredible, has the function, and has some truly great figs. Both excellent sets, alongside, of course, the ghost.
July 19, 20231 yr I have to say I am impressed with the Asoka sets. We are definitely getting a lot of minifigures with these sets, as well as ships we haven't had in a long time. Overall I am very impressed.  Chewie on the other hand, as folks have said, is not the best out there. I am not even sure it comes with an exclusive Chewie minifigure. This set is a complete pass for me. On a side note, I picked up the spider tank and the 332nd battle pack yesterday (for less than retail). Hopefully going to be able to build them later today or tomorrow. I will let you all know what I think about them afterwards.Â

July 19, 20231 yr Holy moly! I love both sets And i love the minifigs Both sets were not on my list but now i have to find some doubloons
July 19, 20231 yr I like Ashoka sets that were revealed today. I love the fact that E-wing's landing gear can actually retracts somewhat On the other hand, and since I don't follow all the rumours closely, are there still any Ashoka sets left unrevealed? The most obvious fact that there's been no Thrawn in the new sets and skipping him would not make a sense at all

July 19, 20231 yr They hit the E-Wing out of the park. Will be purchasing a number of them loose on BL or through third party. Just need to mod the landing gear so they’re not so long and the ship sits a little lower. Should be easy to do. As for the Sabine figure, just wait for firestartoys to inevitably release printed arms for her for around $4 or so. Instant upgrade that will do wonders for the overall look of the figure imo.
July 19, 20231 yr The Ahsoka wave is probably my favourite in ages, the Ghost looked great and these look just as good. They're a bit expensive, but for 2023 standards I'm alright with the prices. Really digging the T6 in both 'modes,' the colour distribution looks fantastic.
