mandalorian episode 3 spoiler

Bo Katan needs to be in Fangfighter vs tie interceptor set. She was piloting fang fighter

Spoiler

Technically her ship is not a fang fighter but yes its very likely that Lego will do what I predicted and call her ship a fang fighter and it will be the one we see this summer. Also that episode was awful.

Guess we can expect a reveal for the final Mando set next week. Looking forward to seeing the updated build for the TIE Interceptor but I'm also curious whether Bo-Katan's new minifigure will be making a second appearance or not. Could go either way really.

Mandalorian season 3 episode 3:

how horrible that was, spent an hour on a random background character that appeared for 10 seconds than proceeded to resolve the whole issue in an episode, mando and bo had like 5 minutes of screentime, rename the show to "the background character".

Does anyone else have really high hopes for the UCS X Wing? It’s been 10 years since the last one, so I think that there is a ton of room for improvement.

I’m hoping for much better proportions, especially a new cockpit piece and larger engines and a brickbuilt R2.

The UCS A-Wing, Gunship and most recent Snowspeeder have all looked excellent, so the bar is pretty high in my opinion.

Don't forget the 2018 Y-wing, that set was a masterpiece. I'm interested in seeing how much they improve the X-wing. I don't expect to see a new windscreen piece as the old mold is still in use with the Galaxy Explorer but there's still room for improvement in other areas. Engine proportions like you said, along with the shaping of the fuselage and nosecone.

Include a printed windscreen. No further comments :snicker:

maybe tie interceptor vs fangfighter is not based about episode 3? leaked blue mandaloran dont make sense to be in this set if its really based on episode 3

They could be trying to keep bo exclusive to that set? Doubt its based off episode 3.

anyway, is the new darksaber hilt a gun metal grey or no?

Another angle shows it as GMG yes

The leaked mando wasn't present. Thought they might just be throwing more figs into the set than were in the scene because a $90 set with Mando, Bo, a TIE pillot, grogu, and a droid is pretty lackluster figure wise if the 3 most interesting ones already come in a cheaper set that wave.

What? I loved it. Clear setup for what's happening with the empire, fleshed out Pershing a LOT, and we got to see coruscant. Mando's a multiseason show, it can afford to spend (not even) an episode on setup.

Same. I'm very excited to see what this looks like.

The Mando is a good point. Maybe they felt like it would be bad to only include the characters from the scene, so they're adding ones from later episodes?

Definately is.

I mean, like, sure, but this is just baseless speculation, isn't it? We've seen nothing indicating such a set is coming, so even if it seems reasonable to assume it will be made eventually, it's just an assumption.

I really hope the $650 Fall set is an MBS, it’s criminal that there’s only been one on the market for the past three years. An updated Ewok Village+Endor Bunker would be ideal for the 40th anniversary

Personally, I think the Bo-Katan minifig is absolutely an improvement on the average LEGO Star Wars minifig, but in my opinion, it’s by no means the best ever minifig in the theme. For her to be a similar quality to the Sam Wilson Captain America (my favorite minifig in recent years), she’d need side leg printing and a dual molded hair/crown? combo.

Well, guess we know what the TIE Intercepter vs. Fang Fighter is based on, even though the class of Mandalorian starfighter is inaccurate and we basically just got what is basically the Fang Fighter :sceptic:
But, who knows, maybe LEGO has actually made the correct type of fighter and just badly named it.
This gives me hope for another set with Bo-Katan, though :sweet:

My guesses stay set on UCS Death Star 2, Venator, or Ghost. I personally don't think Lego will make a $650 playscale set anytime soon. Also the $650 price tag makes me think the UCS Razor Crest could increase to that price by fall based on Lego's pricing model.

Lego surely won’t be make a $650 prequel set any time soon, much less a Venator after the Star Destroyer just retired. Ghost, even less so, as of today, it’s only appeared in a children’s animated show. It took years of market saturation and praise for a live-action Mandalorian aimed towards a general audience for Lego to consider turning the Razor Crest into a UCS set, and by the time it came out the real ship was obliterated on screen. Death Star 2? Perhaps, although the price and piece count point towards a minifig-heavy set.

I think a Ghost is completely appropriate considering the Ahsoka show, coming late summer, will more than likely feature it since we know Hera will be a supporting character. Maybe not quite UCS yet I suppose, but the 1083pc mystery set could certainly be a re-worked play scale Ghost for $139.99.

My leading suspicion is still a new DS2. It is a big piece count increase from the 2005 one but techniques and detailing have certainly evolved and the old version is completely hollow. Perhaps there will be micro-scaled scenes that can be revealed by simply taking panels off kinda similar to the massive Hogwarts castle. I would like for some things to be minifig scale certainly but you can't really make the set bigger than the 2005 one so my guess is the extra pieces go into additional detailing and interior elements.

EDIT: I do see your point however of a minifig heavy set...

The Ahsoka show and by extension the Ghost have almost no casual adult market penetration right now, there’s zero chance Lego would put what is essentially a brand new vehicle (for live action at least) in the same MSRP strata as iconic vehicles like the Star Destroyer, Falcon, or AT-AT. A play set, sure anything is possible, I mean they turned a ship that appears on screen for 5 minutes in one episode of the Bad Batch into a $170 set.

I was thinking it might be a modernized version of the MBS Death Star from 2016 with little dioramas, but then I thought how that would conflict with the existing 18+ diorama line that already has Death Star scenes like the trash compactor or the upcoming final duel. Seems superfluous.

Could also be a Jabba related set (plenty of potential for minifigures) which could explain why they maybe scrapped the throne room diorama apparently, but that $650 price point is still the most confusing thing with this rumor so far.

All good ideas and I guess time will tell :D

I’d kill for an MBS Jabba’s Palace (I’m assuming the sail barge isn’t coming this year according to the leaks). The price sure seems high, but given that Rivendell recently released for $500, and the rumored Avengers Tower will come in at $525, slapping on a “Star Wars tax” and upping the price to $650 doesn’t seem that outlandish to me. As you said, time will tell.
