Yeah I’ve repeated this before. It really needs a remake that appreciates the source material. Currently, the Lego version fails on so many aspects. It would sell insanely well.

I would certainly be interested. I love the N-1 and also appreciate what they did with it in Mando, but the current set is just bad.

Wow this episode was quite awful,

they spent the whole episode doing an actual side quest than the last 5 minutes was actually relevant to the plot, this sucks, we're at the 6th episode and we have little to nothing to know about the finale other than moff gidoen, pretty sure last season, we got introduced to boba and that lead to grogu getting abducted, here we have nothing.

That's just not what I said you can rather have whatever you like I could care less but saying a UCS set @ $350 is the same as a playscale set @ $120 is silly.

No, didnt say it was the same, merely stated before I got the argument, which unfortunately I still got, that to ME, it counts the same and I didnt want one more, system set or microfighter or whatever, didnt need to be a big argument.

axe woves

Unfortunately not,

he has a beard, the fig doesnt, and they both have different haircuts, also armors but that can change, also they would name it axe woves on the box since the set would come out after.

Spoiler

The Mandalorian Fleet commander actually appeared in today's episode. He was standing beside Axe Woves on the bridge of Arquitens at the beginning of the episode.

Anyone see on picture 8/12 (the rear with the S-foils deployed) on the new UCS X-Wing (75355) that the rear parts with the NEXO knights shield piece aren't symmetrical? Is that correct? I would expect it not to be the way it is on the build. Maybe an error?

Seems like the Rex minifigure featured in Skywalker Saga might indeed be what we get in the Venator: the face print has the bandage from the inhibitor chip and the kama is printed, as well as being the only character in the game to use the new Phase II Clone helmet. The printed arms also lend to this being a UCS minifig.

Yeah, my guess is they will make that head print and arm printing exclusive to the Venator and then put Rex without arm printing in a cheaper set in 2024/2025.

Ever since the inception of the UCS line I've never once been convinced of buying a UCS set (although that A-wing from a few years ago looked pretty great) but I always like to check out the latest result of Lego's efforts. But this one is a mess. It has some great features like the hexagonal fuselage and I think the engines are correctly sized this time. But on the other hand there's the scale of R2 (I couldn't even find him at first!), the gap between the wings when locked in neutral position and somehow Lego doesn't seem to know how to get the colors right. And are those flippers on the cannon tips? :laugh_hard:

I still maintain that the 7140 version is unbeaten, at least when it comes to system scale ones, and it certainly looks better than this UCS version overall. Maybe it's what others said, the old light grey works wonderfully for the X-wing.

Yup.

there is black astromech in episode 6 and in fang fighter vs tie interceptor too. This astromech could be imperial spy in show

I think it's the same one.

Spoiler

Super weird figure choices then. Generic mando who doesn't even seem to be the fleet commander alongside a random astromech that may or may not be an imperial spy.

Edit: Not to mention,

Spoiler

Din won't have the darksaber at that point in the show.

I really expected the X-Wing to look fantastic, but it looks just... fine? Really doesn't do anything for me.

Same. It's not terrible, but after a decade you'd think they could have improved upon it more.

I seriously don't get how they messed this up so bad. At a minimum, it gets a 3/10 mainly because it has a printed plaque, nice Luke fig, and presumably doesn't fall apart if you pick it up

It's been officially revealed if anyone was still wondering where to see

After seeing the release pics, I'm honestly a little surprised at some of the negative feedback for the UCS X Wing. I think it looks quite good, absolutely the most accurate representation we've ever gotten.

Improvements I noticed over the previous versions: 1) Properly-shaped hexagonal fuselage, 2) Printed windscreen, 3) Properly shaped engines/air intakes, 4) improved nose shape, 5) greater number of brick-built details/fewer stickers.

Flaws I noticed: 1) Nose is still chunky even if it's well-shaped overall, 2) Minifig R2 vs. 3x3 dome, 3) Small gap when the wings are folded, 4) No landing gear.

The flaws aren't deal-breakers at all. I'm honestly not sure how they'd get the nose size down, or eliminate the gap between the wings while still having a functioning s-foil device. I might be in the minority on this one, but it really does look like a fantastic model and I'm considering picking it up even though I already have the 2013 version.

This tbh. It obliterates all previous versions for me, even if it’s not perfect

I agree with this and I don't collect UCS sets. This one actually looks quite beautiful, especially from a top view! I think they did a great job with it.

Yeah same, the nose of the actual ship seems to be white in most images, this UCS set is incredibly detailed and i too don't collect UCS sets.

On the topic of Rex, we know Lego will obviously be including him in a System scale set within the next year, but the question is what could it be

Bet it is Y-wing, such an obvious option for Lego.

Also not sure if this was brought up already or not, but the Ahsoka figure from the new show doesn’t have a new montrail piece according to the Reddit user that’s been giving out info over the last few days.

The same montraipiece but new print for montral, right?
