Kit Figsto Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 Is a B1 even rumored, or are people just assuming because the calendars usually come with a battle droid? Because I think the only ones we've seen solid evidence for are the Christmas Ewok (pretty much confirmed), and then a 212th and Omega, which have some credibility due to being sold by a guy that sells Advent Calendar figures. Fulcrumfan91 Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 Anymore details on the mystery Ahsoka set? Or whether the inquisitor mini figure in the T-6 has a face? Quote

There are 4 rumored now: christmas ewok, 212 clone, omega, b1 battle droid So I've been procrastinating on some rather important things I should be doing, which has translated here into creating a spreadsheet to document how many every SW Advent calendar has had of figures, droids (Astromechs, battle droids, IG-units. Anything not using minifigure parts, but still using specialized parts), brick-built characters, micro builds, and system builds. Based on that, I've come to this conclusion for the upcoming calendar:5 minifigures, 1-2 droids, 0-1 brick-built character, 10-13 microbuilds, and 3-7 system builds. (system builds have the most variability. In 2020, we didn't get a single one, but in 2021 we had 7.) The lowest number ever of figs in an advent calender was 5 (Highest was a whopping 8 full-on minifigs and a droid in 2016, wish I picked that one up), so I'd guess we have at least two figures left. In addition, every set since 2017 has had at least 2 new prints, so I'd guess one of them will be christmas themed. I can't say anything for sure, but here's my personal guess: We usually get a desirable unique fig, a desirable army-builder, and 2-3 figs that feel like leftover stock alongside the christmas figs. So my guess is we'll get a TIE pilot or Hoth rebel as the last non-exclusive fig, and for the other exclusive fig, I think Boba Fett is the most likely choice, though for some reason I could really see Greef Karga in a christmas sweater. I could also see them putting Fennec in instead of the pilot or hoth trooper if boba's the other christmas fig, with the helmet thrown in a build somewhere, but that might be too optimistic. 18 minutes ago, Kit Figsto said: Is a B1 even rumored, or are people just assuming because the calendars usually come with a battle droid? We've gotten a B1, IG unit, or both every year since 2017. Since IG-88 hasn't been in any sets recently, and IG-11 was in the 2021 calendar, I'd say a B1 is definately coming. 2 minutes ago, Duke27 said: Driver or scout as always. Since the Ewok only has one new print, I think another christmas fig is more or less guranteed. Quote

At first I thought this was ridiculous but then I remembered I avoided the inquisitor scythe simply because in my eyes Lego ruined the back of the ship by using cheap stickers for what clearly should have been physical, radiator grille pieces. So fair game. Quote

I mean, would it really have ruined the show if there was an imperial trooper battle pack with those designs? Or for a set of Axe Wove's Gozanti to have released? I'll grant you Reveal hidden contentsReveal hidden contents Reveal hidden contents mando gideon may be a spoiler, but even then, I feel like an August set with that character would be fine. I think its a fair point that Lego is a little too secretive but at the same time, I don't think it applies to a lot of the ships and possible sets we see this season in Mando. I don't see them making a Gozanti from this show because it's not as recognizable as a Mandalorian vehicle and it isn't a popular Imperial one. If there was anything spoilery to make from this season I would guess a new larger gauntlet like some suggested, the pirate ship with the green head honcho, and obviously the new outfits for all the main characters expecially you know who. A battle pack would have been great as would a small scene depicting Spoiler Paz vs the praetorian guards OR Moff Gideon with his mandos However, those two set ideas might have been way too spoilery and ruined the reveals in episode 7. They would work well as Jan sets to start next year off strong. Quote

The last three have been absolute snoozefests Quote
Pietro Micheli Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 (edited) Hello there! I’m a new entry. I’m a huge fan of the Clone Wars, and so when Lifebricks said that we’re going to get a new P2 Captain Rex I was very excited, but sadly I can’t afford a $650 LEGO set. I have a question for you: how much do you think that will cost Captain Rex’s minifigure after his release? Also sorry for the bad grammar, but I’m Italian and I don’t speak English very well. Thank you! Edited April 18, 2023 by Pietro Micheli Quote

Thank you! I think that he will ( and at very least could) appear in a cheaper set next year or so, so I would expect the aftermarket (scalper inflated) price for his figure to go down soon enough so it might be best to wait so that the price for the individual figure goes down. Thank you! Hi, welcome to the forum Don't worry about your grammar, I have quite a bit of online contact with Italians and you're doing fine. It's as @Agent Kallus said, there probably will be a Rex minifigure in a smaller set (or even a magazine) next year. This hasn't been confirmed of course but it is the expectation. Other than that, it's hard to say what the average price of Rex is going to be at least this year. When we're looking at the exclusive figures in the 75331 Razor Crest, which has a similar price point, it should tell us at least something but Rex is more popular than Kuiil or the Mythrol. Those two are costing about 60-70 euros and 30-40 euros respectively, so I'd expect Rex somewhere around a 100 euros. So I'd really recommend seeing how things go with the sets and magazine gifts in 2024 first. That Venator isn't going anywhere in the meantime so there's no rush getting Rex before the set is discontinued. Quote
Pietro Micheli Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 (edited) Thank you very much, I’m very relived about this, because the last P2 Rex now costs around $200 and for me that minifig isn’t worth the price.🙃 Your suggestione arr very useful Edited April 18, 2023 by Pietro Micheli Quote
MaximillianRebo Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 Reviews are showing up for the May sets, and man that's a lot of light bley bricks and plates for everything except Endor. The build techniques in the Throne Room to achieve the window look excellent and I really like the new speeder bike design. The dark tan colour seems just right but maybe that's because my Kenner speeder bike is the same colour. I don't plan on getting either of the dioramas but might Bricklink the parts for a speeder bike when instructions become available. Quote

On the bright side, a standard white clone torso (or, if you want, a sandtrooper torso to get the ammo pouch, though it'll be on the wrong side) with a clone head, the luke hair in tan, blue arms, and 501st trooper legs with a black Kama and pauldron gets you pretty close to at least an unhelmeted rex for cheap. That was cool to watch for the insight into the design philosophy behind this update. I'm interested in getting this set and have been looking up videos about it but hadn't seen this one. I still think eventually my plan is to build Jarec's T6-65 MOC but I'm curious as to how many parts from this set might be compatible? Guess will have to wait and see. I think some of the new pieces from this set are welcome too, like the new blue/white parts for the laser cannons. Silver Quote
Goofster Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 well, this episode was super disappointing, no post credit, no mythosaur, no thrawn, etc, gideon "died" in an anti-climatic way, he's definitely returning, fire isnt gonna stop him with THAT armor, the darksaber breaks, 1/3 of the episode is super boring, the final fight is really eh, somehow was worse than BOBF and mando s2, but what really was the final nail in the coffin was having 0 post credit scene, even if it was something random like BOBF's, but hey, that's just my really disappointed opinion. MaximillianRebo Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 Spoiler Did we actually see a Fang Fighter during this episode - or at any time during the season? I could be wrong but all the ships looked like Gauntlet fighters. Not that I'll say no to the upcoming set, especially for the TIE Interceptor, but it'll be funny if the set is based on an idea that didn't make it into the show, especially with TLG taking so long for a reveal.
