5x points might be the push I needed for Ambush on Ferrix. I still don't like the Tac-Pod build, but it'd be a good parts pack, I want the figures, and we need more from Andor.

Yeah that might be enough for me too. I have really been thinking over that set but I loved Andor and want to show my support.

I was thinking the same about Ferrix. It's the 4+ AT-ST, which I think nobody is remotely surprised by lol.

Ah, that makes sense. To be honest I'm not sure how well 4+ does, I feel like once kids are past the "need duplo because they would eat and choke on normal legos" stage, most parents are fine just getting them small system sets.

Got it. I was looking on mobile and at first the guns looked like some of the third-party weapons like Firestar and thought Lego had produced their own, but it's just the 2L bar like you said on a lightsaber hilt.

Honestly it's just proof that they can make some pretty sweet guns when they don't stick to stud shooters.

Yup, and for what equates to almost a $20 discount, that's a fair price.

As a parent the only real advantage that the 4+ sets over the regular system sets is that there are no stickers and all the decorated parts are printed.  I can tell you not having stickers with a 4-6 year old is a blessing. We built many sets together that had stickers when they were that age and it was a nightmare.  They would want to put the stickers on, and then when they weren't right or put on the wrong part, they would get upset and cry.  I learned how to "gracefully" remove stickers that were placed on wrong, but not having stickers is a huge advantage.

£120 off in the John Lewis May 4th sale today so I bought one there instead.

That's a fantastic deal. Plus an extra £20 for members. If I was a bit more liquid might now I might of considered it.

It's been a week since the last episode so everything Mandalorian is open for discussion. Thank you everyone for respecting the rules and your fellow members this season.

I don’t really want to complain about this year given that we’ll be feasting in a few months, but damn I really wish Lego could’ve allocated a set to Jedi: Survivor this year.

I used to think a large Stinger Mantis would be the quintessential Jedi set, but in all honesty looking at the gameplay for Survivor, there are so many ships, locations, and characters to use without even broaching spoiler territory. It would’ve been nice to have a set allocated to the game, even if it would’ve been a small one to take the place of Yoda’s Jedi Starfighter.

Here’s hoping Lego have something planned for this game next year, there’s no way they aren’t aware of its popularity.

Given the game is getting a lot of positive coverage and the official SW accounts are doing a ton of promo (including doing ads with Mark and Cameron) I'd predict we could see Cal at some point in the near future though I'd guess it won't be the Mantis cause that might be too difficult to do at the size people would want it to be. I could see a Cal vs Inquisitor set or some Empire ship with some troopers and Cal. EIther way, I can't wait to play the next game it looks fantastic.

I don’t think it’s real

If you hadn't said this I reckon I'd be convinced.

All of the details are seemingly spot on to the TSS version, besides the mouthpiece being printed lower on the physical version; however, that difference seems to be present on all of the clone troopers compared to their TSS versions, so it's exactly what I'd expect. No discrepancies with obviously repurposed, or decalled, or 3rd-party parts.

Unpopular opinion time but I don't like the fabric kamas anyway. I prefer printed on, though the best option might be dual molded legs so that the design doesn't just cut off at the sides and back.

I agree about dual-moulded legs being the best option (with side-leg printing too in some cases, particularly when the kama is the same colour as the legs e.g. Fennec Shand), but I would say I prefer the fabric ones to the printed ones they're doing now, particularly on figures where the kama contrasts significantly with the legs and ends up just being a small strip when it's printed. If they won't ever do dual moulded legs though, I think they should have the printing that they're doing now in addition to fabric ones, so that the figure can still sorta have the kama on when sitting down, and people can just go with their preference.

May 4th promo is now live for Aus & NZ. There's no 5x points on specific sets like EU/USA but you can spend 100 points to get discounts on the UCS Razor Crest and Gunship, Boba throne room, Kenobi duel and Justifier. Discounts work out to be roughly 18% off each set. Personally I'd prefer this over 5x if I was buying any of those sets this week, as the discount applies at the time of purchase instead of having to wait for your next purchase to spend the points.

Dual-molded is the best case scenario, but I think the fabric kamas are much better than the kama printing only on the front of the legs, where it just looks like a weird strip.

And the kama just being a printed strip. I can't believe they'd do that on a figure in a $650 set with only 2 figs. He HAS to have dual-molded legs or a cloth kama.
