imo you do you but I personally think it’s silly to army build according to real-life army organization standards when these rules are NOT followed on screen at all, and especially when Lego doesn’t go out of their way to even properly label/include the necessary ranks. An orange pauldron sand trooper is a lieutenant while a white pauldron trooper is a sergeant and a black pauldron trooper is a regular enlisted trooper. These have never been labeled in Lego form, and when these troopers appear on screen during a New Hope, they appear in relatively equal amounts, which doesn’t make any sense if you’re viewing it from the standpoint of army organization.

I am not army building based on a real life army organization. I am army building based on Star Wars books, reference books, star wars insider magazine articles written by people that specialize in that sort of thing.
It is clearly said in for example Star Wars: Complete Locations book how big the clone army is and how it is built. Most books were written before TCW came out and did whatever looked cool and was cheaper to make. Even then for example in the Bad Batch episode The Outpost the commander there had a squad of 7 dead troopers (helmets were there) and two surviving ones so even in some of the media there is a clear and correct number.

LEGO correctly named and labeled the proper ranks of multiple figures for army building no matter what you want to army build: we have 2 phase 1 clones labeled as lieutenants, 3 first order officers/lieutenants, rebel lieutenants and imperial officers, there is also Scarif squad leader, first order squad leader for both helmet styles, 3 sandtrooper squad leaders,  there are stormtrooper sergeants, clone trooper sergeants, sergeant Hunter, sandtrooper sergeant and officers that you can use for any of it and ofc higher ranked figures like captains, commanders, generals.

The wolfpack is 576 troopers and hasn't had a figure in almost a decade. If you want to go off the odd idea that people are literally army building the canon amounts of troopers (which would require insane amounts of money to be spent on copies of a single set, I might add), there are better choices than the 332nd.

The Wolfpack would be a great idea.
I am not suggesting people should army build full grand army of the republic with billions of troopers.
Building squads and other units you can afford with clear goal of what you are doing is much better than sticking figures on a baseplate aimlessly cause you saw a youtuber did it.
Squad of 10 stormtroopers and an officer to lead them is perfectly fine and so is 9 x 501st troopers lead by a 501st officer. That's $50. If you have more money get a platoon for $205 lead by a lieutenant.
This is how armies are build with miniatures, in roleplay, with Hasbro figures it's just the LEGO community that copies youtubers who have no idea what they are doing.

Ofc people can enjoy Star Wars and do whatever they want, but for me it's not fun to do things wrong and innacurately when there are clear canon references and sources on how these thing looked in the universe.

Yeah, but again my two points are:

1. Lego doesn’t consistently label troops according to their ranks according to extraneous canon lore, the two sandtroopers in the current cantina set being a prime example

2. These ranks and organizations are not reflected in media as I proved using the New Hope example. It’s an external piece of writing which, yes, is “canon”, but is made moot by the fact that when George Lucas was making Star Wars films he sure as heck didn’t care about accurately demonstrating platoons and companies.

And since the 501st specialists are literally marked as “heavies” and “snipers”, non-canonically transforming them into sergeants and lieutenants etc seems out of sync with your original point of basing army organization on canonical materials. Like you’re following the numbers for squads and platoons etc in the canon references but you’re not using the right troops, visually. Which makes it not canon. Which brings us back full circle lol, it’s your head canon, which makes it as “valid” as Solid Brix studios’ definition of an army.

1. Actually if you go on bricklink and look up figures that are in the Cantina you would see that the figure of a sandtrooper with orange pauldron sw1123 is labeled as Squad leader or a captain which they leave for you to pick and use as your desire.
2. Actually according to wookipedia and star wars fandom that name 6 different notes and references Clone lieutenant and Sergeant were ranks in the Grand Army of the Republic held by clone trooper officers therefore you can use that officer from the only 501st battle pack for either position. Clone trooper pilots could also hold that rank and one of those pilot lieutenants served as a gunship pilot during the battle of Teth.

Speaking of clone specialist most of them ended up serving as sergeants, commanders etc. For example Waxer who was a Platoon Sergeant for the 212th Attack Battalion, who led the platoon known as Ghost Company with his loyal partner Boil was one of the specialists.

It's not my head canon it's just LEGO Star Wars fans crying at every minute detail and innacuracy and hold LEGO to the highest standards, but then they don't have the self respect to hold themselves to those same standards and find it silly and head canon when someone else does.

Talking about Wolfpack, is there any credence to the idea that we will be getting Wolffe soon. There's a render of him with the fox and Rex that we are getting in the summer wave, so do we think he is on the way too?

( I know we've been told only Yoda and R2 but imagine if they snuck him into the Yoda Starfighter)

Well we got the Cody (with slight modification), it seems like we're getting the Rex, and it's esseeeeeeeeentially confirmed (through some leaked part pics) that we're getting the Fox. That game also showed us the Palpatine we're getting (according to promobricks). We also saw Wolffe and Gree in the game. So probably.

BUT we also saw Luminara Unduli with a blue lightsaber and a recoloured Imperial Scout trooper being used as a 41st Elite Corps clone. So it could also just be nonsense made by the game company. Assuming it's real I'd put my money on Wolffe coming in 2024, as well as Rex in a cheaper set(Promobricks said "we should see him in a cheaper set within 12 months" in the comments on that original video from april 1st where we got doubled pranked (meaning it was all real)) Then i'd guess we get Gree in a 20th anniversary ROTS set in 2025. Hopefully a turbo tank. I do also hope we get a Commander Bly in like an AT-AP or AT-OT in 2025 that'd be really nice but we haven't seen evidence of a Lego Commander Bly existing yet. =(

We seem to be getting a lot of named clones so I could see Lego trying to get all the major ones out in the next couple of years in time for the new movies to start taking over the waves. We have Cody, we're getting Fox, Vaughn and Rex, we've seen a Wolffe and a Gree. And I REALLY REALLY hope we get a Bly. Bacara and Neyo would be nice but they're even more niche than Bly. Atleast Bly and Gree had arcs in the clone wars. Bacara and Neyo are on screen for a combined 10 seconds or something, although Bacara can be paired with a notable vehicle (UT-AT) and a well known Jedi (Ki-adi-mundi) and it wouldn't take an insane amount of work to recolor the snow troopers as galactic marines. Neyo just has barc speeders, a relatively unknown jedi (Stass Allie) and his clones would need a new head mold so im not sure if Lego would bother with him (again)

I think Bly and the 327th should have been the figs in the swamp speeder instead of the 332nd.  I agree that he and Wolffe have a fair shot of arriving in the next year or two, and of course we're due a Gree in 2024 since he's for some reason the named clone we get the most of.

I think the relative prevalence of Gree (in that he was in 3 sets as his P2 self) just comes from Lego loving to make sets out of the battle of kashyyyk, Have to imagine those big grey Clone Wars vehicles are hits with kids and adults alike and the most prevalent scene for AT-APs was Kashyyyk and Turbo Tanks only featured in that scene (until an ep of the clone wars)

That said, a 327th AT-AP is right there Lego. Give us like an AT-AP with Commander Bly and a couple of 327th Troopers and a Homing Spider with a couple more and Aayla Secura and you're just printing free moneyyyy. (Atleast if they wait til like 2025, im not sure if the community is a little fatigued on AT-APs and Homing Spiders since they are the most common clone wars era vehicles they make. BUT I wasn't there at the time so i personally wouldn't mind.

ALLLLLTEEEEEEEEERnatively they could do a 327th AT-OT, again they might need to wait a hot minute on that because there might be a little fatigue from the current AT-TE. And of-course as you said they could have done a 327th Swamp Speeder. I honestly don't think the swamp speeder idea is off the table because I have to imagine this 501st(332nd) swamp speeder will be blue and pretty meh so they could certainly wait for it to retire and make a more interesting build out of a classic swamp speeder with 327th clones in it.

All of the talk about troop distribution and company breakdowns is interesting, but off track. And lets not start wishlisting for named clones please.

I doubt it. We've never seen legion-coloured swamp speeders (in canon, afaik), and the only legion-recolours that they have done in the past(/present?) were things that appeared in those colour schemes, e.g. AT-RTs, BARC speeders, the new gunship, and I can't think of anything else.

Lego is primarily a children’s toy, hence the inaccuracies or omissions or misrepresentations, which is why I forgive them, but it’s strange you would critique YouTubers for the creative ways they assemble armies using a toy you admit is inaccurate to begin with. Sometimes stacking a million clones on a baseplate is just fun to look at, and that’s all it has to be

Im gonna be dissapointed if yoda starfighter is battlefront version

I'm gonna be disappointed if it's actually Yoda's starfighter

I really have trouble believing they're actually going to do Yoda's starfighter. It's so uninteresting?

Especially with this 4+ set on shelves:

Here's the Studio file for the Yoda Fountain for anyone wanting to rebrick it 6471930.io and the wanted list 6471930.xml

I used this image to get the part list right, but the torso is the old one from Yoda since the latest one is not in available in Studio library. The BL wanted list is correct though.

P.S. Please don't sell these on ebay.

That is awesome, thank you!

Wait, the legs aren't even dual moulded to brown or nougat? They're just the Dobby legs?? What???

Sadly yes. Even though the instruction cover clearly shows tan+olive green legs, they re-used tan+light flesh Dobby legs, which doesn't make any sense.

Ehh, pretty sure that might be because of the 3D render.

The designer just took "Frank Oz as Yoda" too literally.

Yoda's starfighter is a weird choice. I get that they want an ETA-2 on shelves every 3 years, but why not Ahsoka's? Lucasfilm's been marketing her character pretty hard, so it's not like Yoda's would sell significantly better.

To me the instructions look like they have nougat or light brown or something, not olive green, though olive green would have been better. However, that just makes it even weirder that he has Dobby's legs.

It's the alternate timeline where he killed Luke and used Luke's skin to make comfy boots.

yoda starfighter should have been at least anakin green interceptor. This year lego is celebrating 20 years of clone wars and no Anakin in sets?

Nice.

MBS Seagulls set confirmed.

Speaking of set confirmations, shouldn't we start hearing more information on the august releases about now? IIRC we usually have leaked images of the august sets by mid-June.
