Anyone else see the picture on Instagram seeming to show that the $100 Jabba's Palace set has indeed been cancelled/replaced by the Emperor's throne room?

Makes sense. Although now the Jabba’s Palace diorama releasing next year alongside the barge makes even more sense

Could be true, but also does that make sense for having both names coded in rather than a non-specific placeholder?

Could not anyone with a receipt printer, print that?

That's true. And we've seen more elaborate hoaxes before. I'd be inclined to believe either option at this point (real news or hoax).

Judging by lego's recent actions, i wouldn't doubt that this set is also cancelled, sounded way too good to be true imo.

Was the Jabba’s diorama ever confirmed/confirmed for this year?  I remember during the initial leaks, there was a LOT of ambiguity about “throne room” and whether or not it means Jabba’s or Palpatine’s.  Is it possible that we were never getting Jabba’s throne room at all?  Or if we were, it was always a 2024 set?

This. I think the real rumor was just Throne Room, which expanded to Jabba's Throne Room. Then when the Final Duel rumor started swirling, the two separated into 2 sets instead of simply connecting the dots.

Jabba’s throne room was always in question. The Final Duel was not.

I think that the Jabba throne set got the same fate as the AT-AT pilot helmet.

The AT.AT pilot situation is that retailers chosen between the X-wing pilot, Mandalorian and the AT-AT helmets. And the AT-AT pilot helmet lost and it got canned.

But the internet said it was cancelled because of the controversy! THE CONTROVERSY!!! *oh2*

Jabba's Palace, Temple of Doom, Flash Batmobile, Slave Leia... Thank goodness someone stepped in to save us from these problematic plastic toys. My moral values have never been so threatened by THE CONTROVERSY! *oh2*

If the internet says the controversy was behind everything then it must be true!

Srsly we need some images of the new sets soon, otherwise this forum devolves into..whatever this is

I'm convinced that the only reason R2-E6 is in the Fang vs. TIE Int. is cuz LEGO wanted all 3 TIEs to have an Imperial version of an iconic droid. I mean, I doubt it was a pattern from the start, but they were probably like, "hey, the regular TIE has a protocol droid, the bomber has a GNK, and Disney hasn't given us enough info to put in any other villain characters (probably want to have 2 each), so let's fill that figure slot with a snazzy Imperial astromech." Lol, maybe the next TIE Advanced will have a sidebuild of the meditation chamber to bumb up the price so that they have an excuse to put in an Imperial medical droid. Ngl, that would be a cool set.

The weirdest part of the dual-moulded Yoda legs is that Yoda doesn’t even wear shoes. So if they were going to do dual-moulding (which feels unnecessary) the bottom of his legs should be green, not brown or nougat like they appear to be in this set. I have no idea why they aren’t the normal tan legs.

I guess Yoda was pulling up his cape not to make it wet - somehow he had to cross the water of the fountain to reach the place where he stands....

Where is my Battle of Endor MBS set, Lego?

On a serious note, I wonder what will be replacing the Cantina next year. It’s been very successful, considering it’ll have a 4! year run, so it only makes sense for them to put out a spiritual successor. I hope the Sail Barge isn’t Lego’s idea of an MBS set, you have more iconic scenes taking place on the skiff next to the Barge

Hey All,

I'm new here and was reading back on the posts. Have we had any new news on the Yavin IV set? Haven't seen anything new on Falcon Bricks. When is more expected?

Thanks,

Chazinski

More in June probably. No new news recently.

Well it'd probably include the skiffs ( and the pit of carkoon)

Have been watching some reviews of the UCS X-Wing (don't have it myself) and I think the issue with Artoo looking undersized in the ship is in part due to a matter of perception. The X-Wing is of course not mini-fig scale, but then again neither are regular astromechs. The problem is we perceive Artoo's 'correct' height as relative to a mini-fig when he's in fact much too tall. Artoo should come up to about Luke's waist but a Lego astromech is as tall as a mini-figs shoulders. When the X-Wing is scaled up we expect the droid when placed in the ship to be scaled up too, but this increase brings him closer to his actual scale relative to the ship (admittedly slightly undersized, but not by much). I wonder how a mini-doll would fare in this situation in comparison to an astromech height, and would it fit into the cockpit of the ship.

Knowing Lego those will be playsets sold separately

That would be absolutely phenomenal if that were the case (because it means we likely get more minifigures in total, and more obscure ones on the Barge) but there’s no chance that’s happening.

The skiff would just have the generic figures though, luke han Chewbacca boba and a thug. So all the obscure figures would come with the barge anyways. Now that I’m thinking about it there’s no way it doesn’t include the skiff because you can’t sell a set with all those key characters missing lol.
