Another sand blue Boba. ESB Bobas vs RotJ Bobas: 8:1. Another Vader with his inner robe underneath his shoulder armor. ESB/RotJ/RotS Vaders vs ANH/RO Vaders: 18:1. Sigh...

Honestly this was received far better than I expected. I'll probably pick up 2 of the stormtrooper ones on sale, cause I kind of like the idea of have giant generic stormtroopers. Boba looks great, but Vader feels more like an afterthought than anything. He desperately needs some sort of cape to fill him out.

These don't look as bad as they could have. Yes they're completely non-canon and out of universe but for what they are there's a certain charm to them. The Boba one in particular looks great, especially the use of the various colours on his armour. The Stormtrooper one is growing on me and I might pick it up eventually. It's only the Vader one that doesn't hit, with the lack of cape definitely being a drawback.

I have not imagined those as actual mechs, instead of construction figures.

These are probably the first Star Wars sets that aren't even trying to mimick anything from the movies (like the Microfighters) — and they are not good. Not at all.

I'm surprised people are receiving them well here, especially with that awful price.

Despite all these horrible sets, LEGO never fails to disappoint and produce even worse garbage.

The only way I can tolerate these is if they release a Lando one and we'll get a cheap Lando minifigure. Otherwise, LEGO Star Wars really needs a massive punch in the face to take a step back and reevaluate all this shit they have been releasing for the past couple of years.

Lego Star Wars Mechs :ugh: Horrible, just horrible...

I mean, a mech with a little Vader helmet sticking out? That looks like some comedy moc, but.... I have no good words for this so i'll leave it at that

I love the comparatively massive slope parts as thumbs. Mechs in other themes have been having clip parts as thumbs for at least a decade. Why slopes here? Do the Star Wars designers just not know how to do mechs?

Ok, despite these definitely being horrific garbage, they're kinda cute. I sorta like the OT Boba one, so I might get it, but mainly for the figure.

Considering the good Minifigures, that’s not a terrible price imo

the comments I’ve seen online of people moaning about boba is mad. They’ve fully updated the printing and head, but because there’s no cape it’s Lego being cheap? Clearly he wouldn’t fit into the mech with the hard side cape, is legos thinking

Oh damn, I didn't notice that was missing. Bit disappointing, but I already have the printed tan/orange ESB cape and the green ROTJ cape from my other OT Boba figs, so I'm good.

Yes it is... It's still only one minifig per set and only Boba is new, if you are only thinking about the minifig then imagine the price of a CMF. (£3.50 currently) the us price for these is $16. I mean imagine if you did buy it only for the minifig ( I do think there are some other nice parts here, at least with Boba and the trooper, the Vader one is the lamest in every way ( as in no new fig, or fig that it makes sense to have multiples of, least good looking build, least interesting parts, least useful printed tile on his torso, and so on)) and then the fig was in the Lego star wars magazine for a third of the price of the set.

Don't care about any of the builds but we all knew these were coming.

No cloth pauldron for Boba is slightly disappointing but understandable due to the need to fit the minifig in the mech. Still great to see an OT Boba minifig again, especially with arm printing. Looks to have a new face print too, likely similar to the face on the recent repainted Boba minifig but without the scars. Guessing we will see this minifig again if the UCS Sail Barge is released next year?

Vader is just the same printed arm Vader we already have, great minifig but at this point most who want it already have it.

Stormtrooper looks as expected, dual molded helmet on the trash compactor torso+legs. Not sure why they changed them when they are still using the 2019 style prints for the scout and snow troopers. Not great for armybuilding - slighty cheaper than a battlepack but only 1 minifig :(

Will be interesting to see how well these sell. The Marvel mechs must be popular if they are still making them, and now doing Star Wars versions. I think the Boba one will fly off shelves just because of the minifig but not sure about the other 2.

16€ for a minifigure? You could buy four CMF minifigures for this, and they are entirely focused on minifigures.

People are moaning about Boba because LEGO made fully new printing for him, only to base it on the ESB version, instead of making a RotJ one.

I don't agree with that - Vader's tile can be used as a computer in both Classic Space and SW MOCs. But Boba's tile with mandalorian armor print can be used...hmmm...for some another Boba/Mandalorian mech or exoskeleton?

But...if they made RotJ version, people would be moaning about insane secondary market prices of ESB Cloud City Boba.

I don’t think mechs are the worst things in the world, but that’s because I’m judging their existence on the fact the rest of the year seemingly has not been compromised by the existence and release of them.

Price is bad. I’d expect discounts, and would recommend for those interested in them to purchase at 30% off, minimum.

They’re a good little gift for children, however. Shame there isn’t a hero mech, seems quite odd! If I was a child I can’t really play with the 3 releasing this summer.

On the other hand, if a brand new shiny Phase II Clone Trooper was released next year, I think people would view them a little differently.

Let’s see what the following wave brings (I can’t see them stopping after one wave)…

Heh, those mechs look goofy enough. When it comes to Vader I think I agree with the majority that it is the least interesting one, the Boba mech looks alright (within those parameters of course) but I've never been the biggest Boba Fett fan. Now the stormtrooper is something else; it looks like one of those edits where a stormie is depicted in Warhammer 40k aesthetic, which is pretty fun. But it's quite telling that the stormie is the only one where the helmet doesn't look disproportionally small; that helmet's still too big. And the price doesn't exactly help either.

My guess is that this concept is more suitable for characters with full face helmets. But we'll see, actually it could be hilarious to see a mech with a normal Lego head.

Sadly I think so too; pretty flawed concept really.

Oh boy, I just checked Bricklink, and there's a huge bounty on Boba Fett minifigures with arm printing.

Well, both options would be okay for me, since I don't really care. We do have six modern versions of sand blue Boba tho, and only a single light grey one.

It's so nice to get imperial 2x2 printed logo in stormtrooper mech. Very useful for MOCs and nice addition to gunship.
