Ghost and Phantom looks good, IMO an improvement over the original in almost every way (still not happy with the price, but oh well). Are those windscreens in the new trans black color?

I think so, judging by that bluish tint  

Speaking of which: I initially thought that trans-black would replace trans-brown, but that doesn't appear to be the case. There have only been two trans-black parts so far, and one of them came in the Hocus Pocus set, which also features trans-brown pieces

I'm very happy with how the Ghost turned out to be. The Phantom 2 looks like a fun addition, I just hope that it can also seat a regular minifig. I don't care too much about the minifigs though, but that might change if the Ahsoka series turns out to be any good.

All in all, I'll buy this set but only when there's a good discount, which seems to be inevitable luckily.

Silly question, but does anyone see any handle or anything to use for swooshing this ship? Might be a bit tough to swoosh it around if now, it seems chunky and might be heavier.

Very, VERY nice! Looks incredible, and has a solid amount of interior space! My only complaints are minor nitpicks, for the most part, that will be easy to mod (top turret doesn't rotate, engines are blue). While I obviously would have preferred rebels based figs and have doubts as to the prevalence of the two new characters in the show, the selection and number are fine given the set itself. The phantom is small but that's not an issue for me given that it has to, you know, fit into the ghost. (The 2017 Phantom 2 looks hilarious attached to the 2014 ghost)

Money wise: The 2014 ghost was $90 with 4 figs and 929 pieces, or $115 in 2023 dollars (Man, the past few years inflation's really gotten bad). The new one is $170, right? For that $55 price differential, there's an extra fig and an extra, what, 400 pieces? Certainly could have been $150 or $160, but not nearly as bad as many other sets have been. 

Given how much I love Rebels, if there's one set I'm buying for the remainder of this year, it's this one. Which I totally didn't expect, as I have the 2014 model, but this is such a vast improvement. I'll see how much I can get the 2014 ghost to sell for and then build up the 2017 phantom 2 into a minifig-scale model.

I was so ready to be disappointed by the Ghost and so pleasantly surprised by the pictures! I think the underside has too much exposed technic. But overall this looks like a solid set and one I will certainly be getting at some point.

Looks great, much better than I expected after the disappointing Yavin set. Will be getting it for sure as I missed out on the original Rebels one.

Really good use of antistuds! Something I noticed about the old Ghost was the bigger distance between the two large back engines, which made more space for the Phantom I and II. The new Ghost is actually much more proportioned, and the downscales version of the Phantom II makes sense. The piece for the cockpit is perfect.

The Ghost looks awesome as do the figures. I also like the little Phantom II. I really hate that Jacen has been retconned to have boring old brown hair instead of the green he originally had. The new Ahsoka figure looks fantastic, not at all surprised they made a new lekku piece for her but it looks pretty good for live-action Ahsoka. I know Zeb hasn't been rumored in any of these sets but man, I REALLY want a new Zeb figure with digigrade legs... Hopefully if he is in the show--- surely he will be, otherwise what was the point of his cameo in Mando season 3--- then maybe he'll come later down the line as I'm sure most of what we're going to get in these first wave of Ahsoka sets are things from the trailers. I don't expect Lt Beyta or First Officer Hawkins will have much screen time but they appeared in the trailer so they were thrown into the set.

I know for a lot of people this was the Ahsoka set they were most excited for but for me,  I'm way more excited for Ahsoka's T-6 shuttle and the figures it includes. Hopefully that set gets revealed soon too.

Well you never know it could've just been brown in the concept art TLG received and then later changed back to green?

I'm glad Jacen hasn't got green hair! Hopefully he looks more like the Twilek kids that Cut the Clone Trooper adopted with weird ears and lekku - that way the normal-looking minifigure is probably just TLG cutting corners. 

I will buy the Ghost. Maybe not the first day it comes out, maybe not this year, but I will definitely buy it. I love it, it's perfect. I want to hold it in my hands and watch every season of Star Wars Rebels knowing that the Ghost Crew and their ship are in my possession. I will get this set and I will enjoy every moment I have with it. This is one of the best Lego sets I have ever seen. 

But will TLG please, please include more than 5 megablocking minifigures in these giant sets! The only sets that have decent minifigures are the playsets, mostly because sets like Mos Eisley and Yavin look a bit boring imo

Hawkins' torso should be dark tan and his legs should be dark brown. In the interest of fairness, Hera's legs should in turn be flame-yellow-orange (keetorange), and Chopper's head print is just  (Look how they massacred my droid).

Never was the biggest fan of Rebels, and outside of Hera, there isn't a lot here that I'm in great need of. I was thinking that I might get this, but between the rather lackluster figure selection and the Ghost just not being all that special to me, I think I'll pass.

On a positive note, it is much better than the 2014 version in terms of detail, a little bit flatter than I'd like, but still great. Hera is absolutely amazing, Hawkins' new head is most welcome, and Beyta is perfect figure fodder (hate the NR flight suit in canon, but the figure itself is fine). I also like but don't care about Jacen, and Chopper... well I do have the OG figure so no loss there.

What's wrong with the blue New Republic flight suit? I think its fun and different - at least we're getting different colours of flight suit instead of the same orange ones

The new Ghost is a big improvement over the 2014 model. Glad we're getting an interior this time even if it is small. The new lekku mold for Ahsoka also looks pretty good in the promo image. Hopefully its hard plastic rather than rubber this time. I could also see it being reused on an updated TCW Ahsoka figure in the coming years.

Hopefully HD pics of the Gunship and the rest of the Ahsoka wave aren't too far off.

Technically it was an "official reveal", since the pictures are from its listing on the AU/NZ LEGO store website, and it is actually also available for pre-order on there already.

One of the physical images (wherein a kid is swooshing the Phantom around above the Ghost) shows Jacen on the ground but another fig inside the Phantom (fairly certain it's Beyta), so yep, can confirm that regular figs fit.

Also, I quite like how the interior has little doorways that lead to the exit ramps, and that the exit ramps seem like they might actually have enough space to pose a figure. Significantly better use of all of that space in the sides of the ship than the weird little escape pods on the 2014 Ghost.

The white padding is too prominent imo. I never mentioned the color, that I could care less about (though let's be honest, the basic suit should still be orange), but the padding reminds me of some other sci-fi franchise (I can't exactly pinpoint which). Again, not a problem with the figure itself, but these attempts at being different for different's sake just bother me.

The Ghost may be an improvement over the original version but the interior is still shocking imo.  Look at the level of detail/interior we get in the regular Millennium Falcons.  I just hope they make an UCS version of this in the same way they did the Razor Crest,  hopefully then they’ll include everything.

Ghost looks amazing! Bigger interior and just overall looks better than 2014 one. Phantom is meh, but I'm surprised they even included it here, instead of making it separate set again. Minifigs are meh here, Hera is the only great minifig here, shame Lego didn't include Zeb here( hopefully he is in the show). Funny how we have 2 170$ sets at the same time with Ghost and Yavin 4 that someone things right and some wrong(bad build and great minifigs in Yavin and great build with meh minifigures in Ghost).
