Normally when do we start to find out more about next years sets? It feels like all the battle pack info came quite early (but is that because we’ve shown so much interest in it. )

With regards to UCS sets I feel like in a perfect world they would split it so you have the UCS sets which are vehicles/ships without minifigures to end that debate once and for all and then you have your UCS minifigures (which is your Star Wars CMF) where you have all the details all the bells and whistles. A set of 12 every year. Then you have the location based UCS sets which will have all the quirky figures and iconic scenes like what the cantina is.

Then it would just leave the normal system scale sets to have the minifigures the way they are now. IMO 95% of the figures are done quite well considering their target audience me personally I’ve never gone off a figure because they don’t have printed arms or legs. I suppose I’m the kind of collector where if I like it I’ll get it and if I don’t I won’t.

We already have a thread for 2024 sets. We actually know almost all the adult sets releasing next year, which is kinda crazy. There’s only room for maybe ~2 more unknown dioramas, and perhaps one more non diorama/UCS set to round out next year’s adult display catalogue.

I agree with you about releasing more minifig-centric sets, you’ll be happy to know we’re getting the Sail Barge next year which will almost certainly come with a big, eclectic cast of characters like the Cantina. I really wish Lego would go back to releasing MBS sets every two years, I know that Star Wars is more vehicle-centric, but I look at themes like Harry Potter, which I don’t care for or collect, and see sets like Diagon Alley, Hogwarts Express, and the new Gringotts Bank and I get jealous of all the wonderfully detailed, location-based sets they get.

Here. It looks good, but the colour is too light.

Thanks for the link. It looks alright but as the regular non bright green version is at least 8 bucks I'll probably wait and see if lego gives us something down the road that will work. Dark green is clearly the color we want. They are doing a lot more colorful hair these days. My wishful thinking would be for them to just create an accurate fig for next year's advent calendar, but I can't think of any time Lego has done that. before.

We don‘t actually know that yet. For all we know, some of the sets from the survey leak might only release in 2025 (or never). The sail barge definitely looked less refined than some of the other sets from that leak, but we‘ll see :classic:

Surely you mean just the spring/winter sets not the summer wave ( other than the Fall UCS)

Perhaps, but I think all the photos on the survey were just rough works in progress. A sail barge does make sense though, with the Cantina retiring next year, it’s an MBS-like set to replace that void.

This year, the only non-UCS adult set that released in the summer was the buildable Chewbacca. We currently don’t know the identity of at least one diorama, and one other set (possible another buildable figure) but we do know the rest.

I’m building the UCS X-Wing and I’ve put the first wing on and the contraception you turn to raise and lower the wings has stopped working… is this to be expected because  one aside of the build is now heavier than the other or have I done something wrong? Thanks in advance.

If I remember correctly when building mine, you are correct, all will be well once it is balanced out and finished.

You seem to be making a distinction between 'adult' or I guess 18+ sets and other system scale or play scale sets. I imagine most AFOLs are interested in info about any and all new releases, be it play scale, dioramas, UCS etc. regardless of the target range shown on the box and there is currently to my knowledge zero info about summer releases, 'adult' or otherwise.

I am not making any distinction between “adult” and “18+”, I am using the terms the way Lego marketing uses them, they are synonymous terms. Play sets by this logic would be called “kids” sets, as they are the intended audience, just as adults are the intended audience of “18+” sets, regardless of the fact that anyone in any age group can buy any set in any age range. I’m far more interested in the latter.

I also didn’t say anything to contradict your claim that we have no information on summer sets, I merely stated the truthful observation that adult sets usually don’t release during this time frame

I wonder if we will see "Ahsoka the White" in mini figure form down the line.

Is it confirmed that there will be more Ahsoka sets for 2024?

It is not confirmed. I think we know most of the first half year sets, so if more were to come, they’d likely be in the summer.

Leaked Commander Wolffe here

I certainly have doubts, but this looks surprisingly real

Another Redditor posted a link sharing a picture of the figure from the customs subreddit. It’s fake

...we NEED a Battlepack for these guys, is all I'm saying *oh2* And one for the Beskar Troopers too. But nope, another Clone BP it is

I don't think it's insignificant that most all OT era imperial stuff is leaving shelves this year, I think the only imperial items left on shelves after this year will be the bomber and interceptor.

100% agree, them and their captain have to be in a set soon.

Only other thing I'll say is that whoever was complaining about the Venator's stand or whatever doesn't have to fear, because the ship in this episode has an opportunity to have the best stand of any UCS set.

It’s pretty annoying it takes them so much longer to get to the spoilery stuff for sets based on the shows compared to the movies. The new movies got BPs and more spoilerific sets a month after their release, whereas it takes half a year or longer for the shows. The ones that get more than one wave, that is. Also, why we haven’t seen a show-based BP since that 2020 Mando one is beyond me

Hehe, good one  That was such an awesome concept!

Not to harp on it too much, but they’ve not been doing that good a job lately with giving us minifigs of new trooper types. For the ST, RO, and Solo we got awesome minifigs of every new type and variant imaginable. Since TROS, it‘s been pretty dire in comparison.

  • Mando S1: still no incinerator trooper
  • Mando S2: got dark troopers and an artillery stormie, but no juggernaut pilots
  • TBoBF: no Pyke soldiers
  • Obi-Wan: no purge troopers
  • Mando S3: no beskar troopers or Praetorian guards (so far)
  • Ahsoka: iykyk

Fingers crossed troops from the latter two shows will be covered next summer!

Spoiler

I do feel like the appearance of the nighttroopers will make them difficult to army build as they are non-uniform by design. I'd want a potential BP to have a few different designs.

On the subject of potential bps, I do think the night troopers showing up really sinks any hope for HK droids or Elsebeth's soilders.

Also really intrigued to see how Lego tackles Captain Enoch

I'm excited to see what Lego comes out with in the summer wave for Ahsoka.

Spoiler

The Chimera seems inevitable. We haven't had a playscale Imperial Star Destroyer since 2014 and this gives them the perfect opportunity to release one.

Lots of great potential new minifigures with Ahsoka the White, Thrawn, Ezra, Captain Enoch, the Night Troopers and the three Nightsisters.

Would also like to see the HK Droids show up in a set somewhere.

Spoiler

A printed mask on the Range Trooper helmet could work.
