Glad to finally see quality pictures!
Definitely getting the TIE Bomber :sweet:
Too bad, though, the Rae Sloane minifig doesn't have a distinct, feminine torso. At least, it doesn't seem that way to me.

Mitch

I consider that a good thing.  Most torso prints have no need to be anything other than gender neutral so you can use them as you see fit.  (Dresses and swimsuits sure, an officer tunic, not at all.)

The lack of an officers hat for Sloane on the other hand automatically makes the set $10 overpriced for me.  I just consider Vader to be free with the set but I would really rather main characters NOT be in army builder sets. (If anything Vader's inclusion lowers the value even more because who wants an army of Vaders)  75300 TIE Fighter is the perfect army builder vehicle because of the generic figures that makes sense to have multiples of.

I can't be the only one that judges "fighter" sets by the metric of what does buying them by the flight group (3 craft) get me.

If you look closely, you can se its black on the sides of the lower parts of her torso to show her waist

I generally agree about the first part, but it really depends on the clothing. Stormtrooper armor or Jedi Robes are examples of torsos that honestly should all be gender neutral, but you can generally tell apart the male or female imperial officer without seeing their face.

As for the second part, what? Really? 3 figs + a gonk isn't perfect for a $65 set, but compared to all the other TIES we've had recently the value on this one is incredible!

To be fair this is THE perfect wave for me and a small size is yet another good thing about it! (Can buy everything, not having to choose between sets).

A new (old) TIE variant? Yes, please!

"Normal" priced clone battlepack? Oh yeah!

And a 10$ set with Boba Fett?! Damn is it awesome.

Wasn't there a rumour that one of the dioramas was supposed to be jabbas Palace? How credible is that and do we know anything about it?

Don't know if they were the first but the blog Stonewars mentioned it and in the comments of the blog Promobricks a member from that blog also said that this set will be part of 2023. Of course this not a confirmation but the chances are high that Jabbas Palace will happen.

I did notice that, but I believe current imperial officers have that too

I guess you're right, though. Especially with the empire, where everything is kept 'uniform', and you can hardly tell a person's gender by their uniform. Which is actually how it should be.

I also agree about the lack of hat, that should've been included. Preferably with hair, since LEGO is easily able to do this now.

Has anyone an idea what the two guns for the heavies in the 501st battlepack are supposed to be?

In Battlefront he has no weapon, that looks anythzing like this.

It's closest to the TL-50, but I think it's just there to differentiate the heavies' guns from the standard troopers. I'll be replacing them with brick-built ones. On the bright side, these are perfect for Shoretroopers, since they gave us the wrong colors back in the rogue one wave.

It's likely just to differentiate them from the long rifles used by other clone trooper minifigs, but it looks closest to the blasters used by dark troopers.

They do, but it's much more noticeable on Tala Durith and Rae Sloane.

Both the battlepack and the TIE Bomber included an extra copy of the small blaster  Looking back, they could‘ve started doing that way earlier, as the pistol is about the same size and has been a regular replacement piece for ages

I'm not sure that I would have rathered that Rae Sloane have her hat, but I'm still mad that LEGO didn't make a new Imp hat mould w/ even just some generic hair to be used this year for BOTH Tala Durith AND Syril Karn. I can't get over both of them looking bald, and I'm disappointed that neither of them could have had alt. faces. Even if they won't do the mould, could they at least try printing hair on the back side of the head? I'm sure it would look better than no hair at all.

Exactly!
It's really too bad, but hopefully hats & hair combos for SW will appear in the near future :sweet:

FTFY

Rose got a hat-hair combo piece in the headless FO AT-ST set, which hasn’t been done for any other character since, sadly. Wouldn’t be that hard!

You sure about that? They have printed hair on minifig heads before, and it always looked god-awful :head_back:

Oh, crud! You're right!
And I just remembered Jyn Erso has a hat-hair combo.
In short: *hopefully a hat-hair combo for Imperials will appear in the near future :innocent:

Just saw the new sets on Lego AU website and the price of $100 aud for the Bomber is ... not ridiculous. Just slightly more than the current exchange rate on $65 usd and tax is included in the price here. It all depends on whether you think the US/euro price is reasonable in the first place but at least it's one of the best local vs international pricing conversions here in a while.

Priceyplasticproduct has some set numbers and prices for august. I assume not all of them but the two $15 sets are interesting, I don’t think they’re accessory packs though. Also the $200 set in September is very odd if it’s a UCS set. If this is true of course.

Full list:

August 1
75358 - $40
75360 - $35, 253 Pieces, 8+
75363 - $15, 88 Pieces, 6+
75365 - $160, 1067 Pieces, 8+
75366 - $45
75368 - $15, 139 Pieces, 6+ (What??)
75370 - 138 Pieces, 6+

September 1
75371 - $200
75364 - 9+

My guess is that either 75365 ($160) or 75371 ($200) will be a Republic Gunship (more likely the former), and that 75358 ($40) is an army-builder vehicle like the Imperial Armored Marauder or the Republic Fighter Tank (maybe a Republic Swamp speeder or the Imperial Army speeder seen on Ferrix?). The $35 and $45 sets are probably starfighters (maybe a V-19 Torrent at $45?), and the $15 sets are either accessory/battle packs or 4+ sets.

Pretty light wave which is good to have once in awhile. Guessing the $160 set is a BB imperial variant of the Republic gunship. 35$ might be a two speeder set from one of the TV shows and the 40 and 45 dollar sets maybe be a location and small ship from Ahsoka and mando? 15$ have to be more blister packs and 200$ could be a new MBS over a small UCS.

My only hope is that if they do blister packs again that they're readily available worldwide outside of US and EU. I have yet to see a hoth blister pack with my own eyes

I am guessing that it will be a Republic LAAT/i, not an Imperial one, since we got a Republic AT-TE this year.

Over the past few years, LEGO has made army-builder vehicles with generic troopers priced at $40, so I assume that this will continue into 2023.

I just realised - What if the $200 set is the Ghost?? The Razor Crest was $140, and the Ghost would need to be larger and more detailed, so $200 makes sense.

My predictions:

75363 $15 - Accessory Pack (Imperial Army or Security Troopers from Andor, or maybe Endor Rebels to go with the 4+ AT-ST?) Not sure.
75368 $15 - Accessory Pack (TBB Imperial Troopers (2 P2 Shinies and 1 TK Trooper), perhaps, or the Muunilinst 10 (Fordo, 2 ARC Lieutenants)?) Not sure.
75360 $35 - Small starfighter; maybe Plo Koon's JSF, an A-Wing, or a Snowspeeder. Edit: Imperial V-Wing?
75358 $40 - Army-builder vehicle with generic troopers and one named character (Republic Swamp Speeder with Luminara and three Clones (442nd?), Imperial speeder from Andor with 2 Security Troopers, a Stormtrooper, and a named Imperial Officer (Dedra Meero, or maybe even Captain Tigo or Lieutenant Keysax)?)
75366 $45 - Another starfighter; I am leaning towards the V-19 Torrent because of the Clone Wars 20th anniversary. Edit: Possibly an Advent Calendar.
75365 $160 - Republic Gunship
75371 $200 - The Ghost, or perhaps the Chimera? Stinger Mantis? Not likely, IMO, but possible.
