The show makes some odd choices and I somewhat wish there was more to the ending, but I’d also be lying if I said I didn’t feel satisfied with the conclusion. Of course there’s an emotional attachment that I suppose comes from my love of TCW / Rebels but even so, I just appreciate the heart that this show has. I really am placing a lot of hope in next summer for more spoiler sets.

I totally agree. Like I said, I had my complaints about some of the choices in the ending but I loved it overall. The three main things I wanted happened, I suppose:

Spoiler

Ezra's emotional return to Hera, Baylan finding something from Mortis- Abeloth, Abeloth, Abeloth for S2, please! and Thrawn winning.

But yeah, we NEED more sets. The Chimera, Morgan's shuttle, playsets based on Perida or Seatos, etc.

Ok, are we all just ignoring that Renown told us WE'RE GETTING MORE LEGO REVAN? This feels like MASSIVE NEWS.

I'm pretty confused. In what form, and for what occasion? The KOTOR remake is up in the air and I doubt they'd just randomly release a KOTOR set out of the blue :shrug_oh_well: Or maybe it's just a remake of that 2014 polybag?

What renown did was quote Darth Malak. Jumping straight to "WE'RE GETTING MORE LEGO REVAN" seems to be hopium.

That said, we had the Kotor remake stuff recently with all the trailers and stuff vanishing. Maybe Lego had some prototype sets to go along with that and now that Skeleton Crew is delayed and Kotor remake seemingly dead they decided to make the best of both situations?

Either way i feel compelled to accumulate a lot of sith and republic troopers now.

You are aware of who Renown is, right? He doesn't just post random stuff. Almost every post he has on this site, at least in the last few years, is a direct hint for an upcoming set. Not to mention, he posted it to the 2024 news thread, so it's not like he just randomly went "huh cool qoute"

Absolutely no hopium involved in this one.

They have been expanding into the 18+ market, so I could see them just straight up doing a KOTOR set. Whatever it is, we know something KOTOR is coming, since Renown doesn't just post whatever.

It would be hilarious if Lego had sets in advance ready for the KotoR remake that's possibly being canned. Regardless, I missed out on Revan twice so an actual set with him would be great.

@Mandalorianknight and anyone else who wants to jump in.

Can you explain the appeal of Abeloth? The Thrawn stories are great. I enjoyed the Yuuzong Vong books. I like the Fel Empire. But the Abeloth tangent seemed silly. Why are people wanting her to make a live action appearance? (And, to keep it on track, to then make a Lego appearance)

I can't explain the appeal of Abeloth herself as a character; to me she just seems like another conveniently overpowered big bad. As someone who grew up reading Legends and the Yuuzhan Vong stories, their threat felt more realistic due to the collective threat of their insidious gradual invasion. That being said, neither story feels very original, but you can't really expect any story to be truly original these days. So now I think it's more about how people combine elements of what are essentially all previously done stories and how characters are developed. Filoni is arguably skilled at both, so I'm guessing the appeal of Abeloth is a mix of nostalgia and the excitement of people believing they realised what Filoni has set up with the Ahsoka show (what he might literally be pointing too), not necessarily the appeal of the character herself. I'm sure there is also an appreciation for how all these years later he is managing to weave together all his ideas and build on what he set up in the Clone Wars that seemed like no more than a, rather fantastical and somewhat irrelevant I think, side story at the time.

As for Lego, if she did make a live action appearance, I would have thought she'd make a pretty unique looking minifigure. Not one I personally care for, but if you do love her from Legends then I can see why the thought that she might make it into itty bitty plastic form would appeal.

None of this really has anything to do with 2023 sets though so I'll leave it there. :sceptic:

I am aware of who he is. However I still think you're jumping to conclusions. His posts are often unhelpful until he just decides to grace us with actual info. For all we know it's a bloody Darth Malak plushie GWP. Or worst of all... a brickhead.

They at least give us something to talk about, and solving his clues can be fun.

This year was the 20th Anniversary of the original KOTOR game so it is interesting timing. Especially with the new KOTOR remake is on shaky ground right now after all.

I have some mixed feelings on the Ahsoka finale and show as a whole, but overall, I greatly enjoyed it. Yeah, Andor was great and is some of the best live-action Star Wars media we've ever gotten, but in terms of fun, this is the most fun I've had with one of these shows since The Mandalorian season 2. I still definitely think we'll get at least 2-3 more sets.

I'm a sucker for the more esoteric aspects of the force, and I kind of want Ahsoka/Ezra/Etc to have their own major threat instead of fighting the first order and tying into the sequels. Abeloth is perfect for both. An incredibly esoteric figure, a horrifying-looking one- which we don't normally get in star wars- and a threat arguably more dangerous than palpatine, given that she's a god, not simply a sith. We know Filoni had something in store for her at some point, too, since he asked the novel writers to make her a Mortis God, and Filoni's said multiple times he's clearly not done with the Mortis gods.

Spoiler

Which with Morai and the statues in the Filoni, of course. Something's coming.

I would love it if we got some sort of retcon that Abeloth revived Palpatine to keep the son of Skywalker busy while she began to take a more physical form. This also ties into my crackpot theory that Anakin has taken on the role of the Father, and that Ahsoka actually died in ep4 and he revived her by making her Ahsoka the White.

Dude, come on. If it is a Darth Malak plushie, I will eat one on video. If it's a brickheadz pack, I wouldn't be mad, that's still a Kotor set. More lego revan is clearly coming by that statement, I'm not going around saying "UCS Leviathon with dual molded legs and arms revan minifigure coming".

"Just to make sure nobody forgets this one: I will film myself eating a Deadpool minifig dressed as Deadpool and put it on Youtube for the world to see if TLG release at least one minifig-based tie-in set for that film. And by that I mean actual tie-in products, no Suicide Squad shenanigans" - BrickBob Studpants

This you?

I'll make my stance clear here. "If Renown's hint about Revan/Kotor ends up resulting in the only Kotor/revan related lego product releasing being a Darth Malak Plushie, I will eat the darth Malak plushie on camera and upload it to youtube within one week of the plushie's release"

I came on again today with another quote - one which would seriously set the cat among the pigeons, possibly even cause some of you to implode - but I think you can wait a little longer for this.

Well this is a very unintended consequence of my flippant remarks, I should have said someone more plushie-able.

So in what comedy funtime clown boy dimension do you live in where you take a quote by a person and then decide that the quote has nothing to do with the person? I'm not gonna sit here and back and forth with you over the minute details and particular nonsense of what this quote may or may not be about because I'd rather throw myself into various mechanical grinding devices than get into yet another "let's both die on stupid hills" contest with an LSW fan because we'd both be here for about 300 years because this forum is like reddit for people who couldn't get enough pedantic "um actually" debates on reddit.

in a dimension where a teaser for one character doesn't mean a literal mention of an entirely different one

This really doesn't seem all that complicated. Reliable source quotes kotor- doesn't matter whether he's specifically referring to the character the qoute is about (Who's named in the qoute, by the way) or the character who said it- Kotor- of which Revan is the main character- lego material is coming. This is not really a leap in logic.

I don't think there are any plushie-able characters in Kotor. That said I, a grown man with no plushies, would buy a Lego Nihilus plushie, so get on that, disney.

It is, and I haven’t forgotten about that one  I fully intend to follow through with that bet. But hey, neither of us is in any danger, we both took very safe bets

Oh if you hadn't specified direct tie-in you'd be in a ton of danger, it's fairly likely they're putting wolverine and Deadpool together in an 18+ set in 2024.

Maybe, but I feel like the shell might be too big for the Noti (also, the Noti have more turtle-like shells; this looks like a snail shell).

How???! BrickHeadz? May the 4th promo? I doubt that we would get a set with Revan unless they show up in a High Republic show (Young Jedi Adventures, The Acolyte) for some reason. 🤔

I am not particularly familiar with the character, but I do want to see more from the Mortis gods and other esoteric aspects of the Force/Star Wars lore. Additionally, Abeloth is a terrifying cosmic entity (not just a bad guy with a red laser sword), so she would be different and unique as a main villain.

I disagree; @Renown is cryptic, but he puts our discussions on the right track.

Who says "Watch those wrist rockets!"? Renown posted that quote to hint that we are going to get B2s, not Clones.

Interesting. . . The phrase "To set the cat among the pigeons" means to say/do something that would cause trouble or controversy. BrickHeadz are one possibility, as well as is a GWP. LEGO is not doing Comic-Con exclusives anymore, so that is likely out. 🤔

I picked up the Venator this week. The GWP is a lot larger than it appears in the pictures. My local store only got 20 of the GWP, sold out all 11 Venators/GWPs on day 1, then sold the next 7 instantly from their shipment two days later. Only 2 GWPs left and then *poof* gone.

I find it interesting that so many people want the Venator right away, when 2x points is right around the corner. Could it be people want the GWP more than some of the reviewers think? Most of the reviews I read were pretty disparaging, but the GWP is pretty cool, especially the giant metal Republic Credit.
