It is, but I think Lego are just kind of running with it at the moment after all the clamour for more clones.

The ST characters could be included in an Exegol set, so I doubt that they would be used as bonus Minifigs. Hondo is a great choice, but Cal also can be included in a set (FFS LEGO, just do a kriffing police gunship already!!).

If we are going by the most fan-requested figs, then Wat Tambor has to be in contention for one of the slots. He is by far the most requested separatist leader. Count Dooku should also come out soon, given his last set appearance; however I rule him out since we have already gotten him in LEGO form. The latter point could also be made as an argument as to why Revan won't show up again. The temptation to snag him off Bricklink grows stronger by the hour.

Revan would still be cool to get and more desirable than Malak, I can't see Malak but no Revan, well I can actually because TLG makes some strange choices at times but still.

I think if anything, even if it is Malak and not Revan, his inclusion shows that Lego is aware of the fan desire for KOTOR figs. If fans show out and buy the set Malak is in, it could maybe increase the chances of getting more KOTOR products in the future. Of course, however, there is the Disney approval component to it. So who knows.

I mean Disney would have no reason to be opposed, they greenlit the Kotor remake after all, it's just that they might have higher priorities.

Speculation on my part now, but surely Nien Numb will be here…

Three minifigs is obviously not a great sample size, but if we're just going off the three confirmed the main similarity I can see is that they're all characters that we probably wouldn't get elsewhere, so I'm not sure they'd use Nien Numb as one of them if that's the case. I could definitely see him being thrown in a larger RotJ set at some point, even if it's not the Falcon itself, since he's probably one of the most (if not the most) requested original trilogy characters at this point.

While I’d much prefer to actually get KOTOR sets, getting KOTOR minifigs is a dream come true.

Although I guess this doesn’t rule out the possibility for KOTOR sets, since Malak doesn’t really fit in well with any potential play scale sets, so it makes sense he would be included as an add-on.

If it came out along with the remake I’m sure an Ebon Hawk playset would sell like hot cakes.

Now I'm torn between wanting an Ebon Hawk with KOTOR 1 figs or KOTOR 2 figs... I think I'd go with 1, but still, the crew from the second game is great as well.

I thought about him too, but honestly given how many options there are to include him in standard sets (honestly, they could slot him into the next AT-ST even), I'd kind of prefer we get people that don't have as many options to appear elsewhere, like Revan and/or Malak.

I dunno. Given the two/three we know about are fan-favorites and visually dynamic characters, I can't see them putting "basic human woman in tan shirt and pants" in a set. I think you're 100% on the money on the figs being for the 25th anniversary of LSW though.
