LEGO Star Wars 2023 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

No one talks about the builds but the bunker set sounds cool with the ability to integrate the battle pack builds in.

Can't wait to see if we get thrawn and ezra in a set next year, hopefully with the imperial gunship build

Also hope we can army build wolfpack and kashyyyk clones within the coming year or so

Shouldn't this discussion move to the 2024 thread now?

Also any news on of the clones in the battle-pack and the 327th set will have helmet holes and printed kamma’s (I don’t mind the new version but I much prefer the holes helmets and having physical kamma’s)

We got the $30 501st pack from 2020 through the end of 2022, then the $20 501st specialists and 332nd packs in 2023. For Shocks, we got the Coruscant Guard LAAT/i in September 2023, then the $30 Clones vs. Droids and Grogu's escape sets in January and March of 2024 respectively. 
We got a lot of 501st over a longer period of time, and all of their sets are $20-$30; the only army-builders for Shocks are the two $30 sets coming next year.

The battle pack Clones are three P2 Shinies and a P2 Shock; we have known this for white a while now. No 327th have been credibility rumoured as of yet.

No confirmation - Just speculation based on price, missing desirable Minifigs, and the presence of the Imperial police gunship in Ahsoka.

I was thinking it could be a Juggernaut, considering that we have been getting Republic vehicles around the $150 price point for the past few years, and since we are long overdue for one.

Juggernaut could make some sense, since the AT-TE may supposedly retire by the end of next year.

This is my guess. Comes off the fact I think Wolfpack Troopers are coming sooner rather than later.

MTT is possible. The fact they’ve now got a Droid Battle Pack type on the market suggests a slow transition to more Separatist vehicles.

Fair! I do like when sets combine with others. Moreover, both will combine well with the Mando Fang Fighter and the Spider Tank too! 

On that basis we would need Grogu, granted he does come in a Mando s3 set in 2024 (Barc Speeder Escape). A Grogu/IG Mech would fit perfectly! It was rumoured this year right at the start of 2023 rumours…wonder where that went!

Oh boy, Mando S3 finale sets!! And Bly!!! This is not a drill!!  These all sound SO good! 2024 is shaping up to be AMAZING.

Seriously, if Indy hadn’t been cancelled, 2024 could easily beat 2023 as my favourite LEGO year

2024 thread is now up. I've decided to just let discussion happen regardless of what year a set is released. Having the year attached to the topic is just a convenient way to break up the discussion.

I have a solution for the realy ugly Chewbacca face.. a simple replacement of 1 brick in instruction #517 gives him the look everyone is looking for...

Just replace the 2x1 plate by a 2x1 plate with rail attached (lego part 32028)

The only problem is ... the brick which replaces the original...doesn't exist in the wanted form... however it's a simple altering of a black brick (or a white version)  

The thing is...the rail on the brick has to be become white and the long side on the other end has to be become (or stay) black... so either you paint the rail white (i did), or the other side of the brick black.

 

By replacing this part, Chewbacca gets a full teeth in his upper jaw, which gives him a friendlier and  more correct look

I have a picture of what i mean but it won't upload....

I can't quite visualise what you mean as I don't have the set but I'm interested to see the difference.

As for the picture not uploading, Eurobricks can't really host images, so what most people tend to do is use an external image hosting service. Personally I use flickr but there are other options.
