Remember how much inflation we've had in the last couple of years, though. Prices have risen across the board and this community hasn't really updated what it considers an appropriate PPP ratio in the entire time I've been here (and probably for longer than that, honestly). If we compare to 2010 dollars, today's $35 becomes $25.70, which is right in the ballpark for 253 pieces, and $160 becomes $117.60, which is in the right range for 1067 pieces. We would've considered these reasonable a couple of years ago; they look worse because the numbers have gotten bigger, but the inflation-adjusted value per piece has stayed basically constant for decades.

This is a very good point (especially about the longer-term inflation over the last decade), but I also think it's fair to point out that not everyone has seen a similar rise in wages to match Lego's most recent price hikes. I can only speak anecdotally since I don't have the time/energy to sift through data at the moment, but most people I know haven't gotten a pay raise of 15% since the start of 2020. Of course Lego has to do what they can to remain profitable and maintain growth, but it's hard to swallow some of the new price tags under those circumstances. I think the generally higher prices also are made to look worse by the ocassional sets which still hew closer to the now very outdated 10 cent PPP (like the Scythe).

Hello all,

It has mostly been skipped over, but the listed $44.99 set 75366 is likely the 2023 Advent Calendar.  That is the same price point of the 2022 calendar after the price increase for 2022 (in US dollars at least, more expensive up here in Canada).

Cheers :)

Just been confirmed over on Insta, can’t believe after telling people on here it could be, that I forgot haha!

Agreed. Hoping that some of the other summer wave sets will offset some of this.

When did summer set names leak this year? I can't remember.

It was around the end of when TBOBF was airing in early February. We got additional details shortly after May the 4th as well.

Starting to think $15 is the new price for microfighters / brickheads...

As @Mandalorianknight pointed out, we still have the normal $10 microfighters and Brickheadz releasing next year. And Brickheadz wouldn't included in these set numbers anyway.

Whatever these $15 sets are, I hope they're some form of army builders.

Sets 75363, 75368, 75369, and 75370 share the same box size, which suggests either an army-builder or a gimmick series; unfortunately, the latter seems more likely. 😕

The PPP ratio is not bad on these, so I think that we can rule out a mech line or something else with large price-inflating parts.

Yeah, I have not got a clue. It does suggest a unique line.

As we’ve seen these can be hit and miss (Planet sets, Microfighters, minifigure packs vs action battle sets - eeek)

Here is hoping they’re on the former side of things!

Atleast it will encourage speculation. Ten points to Gryffindor for anyone that guesses correctly!

Same! 👍
I feel like the Minifigs (if there are any) will determine this line’s success, since the PPPs seem fine.

Oh great, another 160€ set with barely 1000 pieces :jollyroger:

Curious to see what the 15€ sets are. They have similar piece counts (except for the separate one, which has noticeably less), and same box sizes.

LEGO usually saves gimmicks for Winter, but we got only one this year tho.

As much as I like the idea of the new gimmick sets being army builders, I doubt they‘d bring back Battle Packs only to replace them with a new concept 18 months later  I suspect something along the lines of the planet sets. Maybe small scale models but with a brick-built backdrop instead? Sort of like last year‘s Trench Run diorama, but a lot smaller

To me, the September sets are definitely going to be from Ahsoka. I have seen some people suggesting that they could be for the Mandalorian but I feel that release date is just too far out for a show that we know is releasing March 1.

Last year we had the Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter release on June 1 because it was a spoilery vehicle for TBOBF, which premiered a year ago today, on the 29th.

We know the Ahsoka show is releasing sometime during Q3 or 4 of next year, and this pretty much confirms to me that Ahsoka will release in the summer months and have sets release later or with it in September.

We also have Skeleton Crew, which is rumored to premiere next year, but if it does, that will likely be a Q4 premiere, something along the lines of TBOBF in my opinion, which I think gets rid of the possibility of these sets being for that show. I think we’ll see maybe a set in the January 2024 wave for that show, with maybe 1 more in the summer 2024 wave.

Sorry I just realized how long this is so TLDR: I think the September sets will be for Ahsoka.

Yeah, or something similar but with figs?

The new series deliver a lot of material which lends itself towards sets similar to the final duel I and II f.e.: small 'dioramas' with one or two figs. I mostly think about figs or scenes who are too niche to warrant a large set.

I would love it, but I doubt Lego would do this kind of set again.

Whatever it is, I hope it targets children. I feel like Lego Star Wars is losing a lot of charm over the years and is getting a "adults first"-reputation.

Thinking about this from a logical perspective, I cannot see these sets being simple dioramas or just a scene sans figures.  The price point just doesn't make sense to me from a business perspective.    Lego is first and foremost a toy company and as such will try to make the lower priced items generally more of a toy and less of display piece.  Brickheadz are the outlier, but even then, they have kept other lower priced items available that are toys.  e.g. microfighters. So with 4 sets with a $15 price point and the same box size with nothing else in that price range, it leans towards being a toy.  Second indicator that it is a toy and not a display piece is the age point of 6+.  I cannot see them labeling a display piece as 6+ especially since other display type sets are at least 10+ sets.

Given it is a toy, what could it be.   My guess, and purely guess, is that these sets will likely have 2 minifigures and some sort of action feature that allows the two minifigures "fight" or "engage". I could see these being scaled down versions of the various lightsaber battles that have occurred over the series.  It would make for a somewhat fun and engaging way for younger kids to recreate the battles without all of the other details. (e.g. Anakin v Obi Wan, Luke v Vader (cloud city), Rey v Ren (starkiller base), Maul v Obi Wan (tatooine))

My second guess as to what it could be would be more along what others have speculated would be battle pack like sets, but with only 3 figures.  With all of the new content out there this might make some sense as well.  A cheap way to capture some from each series without too much risk.  I could see sets being CorpSec from Andor, the Mods from TBOBF, something from TBB, and something from Mando.

These are some of my thoughts.

Never even been true, 7163 launched in April 2002 and 4482 launched in January 2003. Seeing the anniversary logos for Clone Wars and ROTJ on the January sets makes me think the $160 has to do with one of those.

Oh I don't disagree. I've just seen people argue that they've always released a Gunship with an AT-TE in the past (however true that statement may or may not be (it happened in 2008 and 2013, but like you said, not in 2002-2003)), and I was just stating that such a metric doesn't really work.

Agreed on this. The only thing I could MAYBE see happening would be that LEGO decided to make the accessory packs into full-range sets, though I doubt it. Brickheadz are staying at $10, as we've seen with the Tusken, Microfighters are still $10, and Battle Packs are still $20. I don't see them being duel sets, as those have always been $20, and I doubt they would decreases prices on those, so it almost has to be a new gimmick, likely with a minifigure in each for sales.

Given the diminishing number of microfighters, maybe these will introduce the next gimmick line like that... Would make some sense at this point since we've had micros since 2014.

There, fixed that for you. CorSec stands for Corellian Security

The corpos that we see in Andor are Pre-Mor Enforcement (Preox-Morlana's security, who operated in the Morlana Sector/Free Trade Sector), not CorpSec (the Corporate Sector Authority, who police the Corporate Sector). Both organisations and sectors are similar, but definitely not the same, since while the Empire shut down Pre-Mor's operations in the Morlana Sector, the CSA continued to operate during and after the Galactic Civil War.

Man, I still want a final battle set based on TBoBF soooo bad!! mostly I want a LEGO version of Boba Fett riding his Rancor... and Black K... and Old Cad Bane....Sadly with all the new shows and new seasons of shows I don't really see them revisiting past series right now. Heck, I still can't believe we don't have a Cob Vanth's speeder set yet!

Order limit is 2 for the US for the 501st battlepack. Got my 2 first thing this morning. Still available at the time of typing. Hope everyone can find a copy!

I think if Lego decide to do the Ghost ship again, which would make a lot of sense then it needs to be an UCS version with a full interior like the Razor Crest.
