Neither--if it's coming at all, it's more likely 2024 than this year.

Oh, so that means that u know the content of the UCS sets coming this year?

Didn't someone reliable say it could be 2023?

Hmm, maybe--I thought the initial report had been that all of that batch of stuff was supposedly for next year, but I had missed the post that said Promobricks claimed it for this year, so I could be wrong about that.

No, the question was about the Sail Barge rumor. There was no mention of other UCS sets. I'm not sure what you're getting at here.

I mean Rivendell's coming soon enough that lego's teasing it, so at least some of them are for 2023.

That said, I also thought promobricks said it was this year, but there's been a billion posts about that leak so I don't know what's real or not anymore. Someone at some point said we were getting more No Way Home sets, but the leak was fake, but they are coming, or something. There was a potentially AI generated indiana jones set that turned out to be real, but with black stripes across half of it for some reason. Dogs and Cats are friends. Pigs are flying. It's a madhouse in here.

He doesn't, but I actually do:

2023: May: UCS AT-ST Remake. Fall: UCS Sail barge.

2024: May: UCS X-wing Remake. Fall: MBS Pentaki

2025: May: UCS GNK droid. Fall: UCS Pit droid.

2026- lego ceases to run the UCS line, instead calling it "the average price of a set nowadays". The lineup is being considered to just be system sets but with UCS price tags.

To my knowledge, Rivendell was not part of the survey.

We have a picture of it that came with the batch from the survey.

It was leaked alongside the others, but apparently came from a different source :classic:

I would actually like to see a remake of the 2006 UCS AT-ST. Would make for a nice (although out of scale) companion to the AT-AT

Don't get me wrong, I threw in the 2025 and 2026 stuff so people would know I didn't actually have info, but those are legitimate guesses for 2023/2024. I would also like a new AT-ST UCS (And X-wing... it's only been a decade but I feel like they could do so much better now)

It leaked around the same time, but it was not a part of the survey. This isn't saying that the survey images are fake, but we cannot use Rivendell's release to prove that survey sets are coming, as Rivendell was not from that.

I actually think an AT-ST is incredibly likely, but I’ll obviously be waiting to hear what the official leak says it is.

It would make a great deal of sense - a large gap between the first release and now and it's the ROTJ anniversary. Still, for the $240 price point, I think that's too expensive. The old UCS model was sizeable and it only had 1068 pieces. I'm not sure you could add enough detail to justify paying that much for a piece count that low. I hope we get more information soon. We had the UCS Landspeeder info this time last year...

I meant more like if we dont know whats coming this year, and we dont know for sure about the time frame for the barge, then it could likely be this year as well, probably a bit large for the may, but for september/october?

Would love if your prediction for 2023 and 2024 were true, 2025 I could skip and 2026 sound more like ragnarök than the battle of endor =/

I'm not against a remake for the AT-ST or X-Wing but I really hope its something new. I know the remaining vehicles like a UCS Cloud Car, Skiff, or any PT/ST vehicle might not be as popular but if they keep recycling remakes because "people missed out on it" they'll be stuck doing them forever if we're limited to 1-2 a year.

I think the issue is that there aren't that many OT vehicles even left that are popular and large enough to do as a UCS model.  I could maybe see an Endor speeder bike, but that would be like $100 max, which is kind of small for a UCS these days.  I know the Rebel medical frigate was in the fan vote, as was the TIE Bomber, and those I could also see, but I feel like even those are kind of pushing it, since they don't really have that much screen time (even when compared to something like the A-Wing or Y-Wing, which at least have very easily identifiable designs).

With respect to the PT, it seems like the Gunship was kind of...meh...in terms of reaction.  I'm sure it has sold well enough, given that it's stayed in production (whereas there are UCS sets that only lasted a year before being retired), but it seems like most of the people clamoring for more prequel sets want minifigure based sets, which UCS models generally are not.  With the ST, I truly have no idea what the plan is there.  I definitely think that there are vehicles from the PT that would make great UCS models (Eta-class Jedi starfighter, Venator, Vulture Droid, a remake of an N-1 in a more modern UCS style, just to name a few), but if we don't get anything like that soon, I feel like the sales of the Gunship weren't any better than the average sales of an OT UCS ship.

I don't think we've gotten any ST sets post-Rise of Skywalker with the exception of a 4+ Poe's X-Wing, and whenever I look at other Star Wars toys on the shelves, it's pretty much all Mandalorian (and TBOBF), Kenobi, OT, or clone merch on the shelves right now.  There's definitely stuff that would be good as a UCS model, but I have no idea if they'd go this direction with ST merch at all.  I'm even surprised we haven't gotten Kylo Ren's helmet yet, because that seems like a no-brainer, even if ST merch might be unpopular.

I’m getting itchy, I don’t know why people with set names for the summer aren’t releasing them…

They probably need permission from their sources first :shrug_oh_well:

Excited to see the set list, but this year SW is near the very bottom of my list of favourite themes. That’s no slight against the theme, but it has strong competition from LOTR, Indy, HP, Marvel, Nintendo (if the Zelda leak pans out), Disney, and perhaps DC even!

The 2HY list would have to be spectacular to knock any of the other themes down a peg

You’ll be waiting a while, in both instances…

True. The sets are scheduled for August, so it’s a bit too soon for a list to appear (even though some people are in the know, as you said). We don’t even know about the Marvel and DC sets yet, and those will be released two months prior!

Not having high expectations, to be honest. Especially after that ominous hint by Promobricks :laugh_hard: I’m mostly excited about potential Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew sets :classic:

Hopefully the lineup won’t be that bad  The theme has been getting better and better over the past couple of years, I really hope all that improvement doesn’t just go down the drain. Especially as the winter waves are so small now, it just heightens expectations for the main course that is the summer wave.

@BrickBob Studpants Ahsoka sets are my most anticipated too. I reeeeeeeeally hope we finally get a new, decently proportioned montrail piece for Ahsoka. The Shaak-Ti one just doesn’t work.

I mean there’s ups and downs. The building techniques are getting better on average and arm printing is becoming more common, but at the same time they also have put out a lot of the atrocious new clone design and have opted for cheaping out or being careless when it comes to some easy choices for sets.

I hope we get a new montral piece as well, although knowing Lego I really doubt we do.

I’m cautiously optimistic for the summer wave & potential Ahsoka sets. (Even if I have mixed feelings about the show itself) Although honestly I wouldn’t be too upset for an uninteresting summer wave, since my wallet really needs a break.

Ha, me too. LOTR and Indy, could use a nice break. LEGO is coming for my entire paycheck.

What do you mean coming for your paycheck.  It already has it.
