Honestly I’m not going to reveal anything as to not take away from actual leakers who put effort in to getting the info when I just stumbled on it by accident, wouldn’t be fair to them.

If you managed to “stumble upon it by accident” it means that the list is floating and bound to be leaked anyday 🤷‍♂️

This is possibly the most convoluted, nonsensical reason I've ever read as to why one would not share the information they supposedly — emphasis on supposedly — know. Nobody who is a self-identified "leaker" put one iota of effort into obtaining those leaks... other than opening an email, or a DM, or a Discord server, where they got their info handed to them. There's no sleuthing here, no investigative reporting, no greasing of palms or meeting secret sources in subterranean garages. It's purely a matter of who you know and whether you honor their wishes... or not.

If you're going to claim to have information and then very deliberately remind people of that "fact" seven (seven!) times in one day, you should at least make the effort to formulate a good excuse why you won't get specific.

Here are some specifics I can share (still slightly vague, I know... it's the best I can do):

1. The prequel-era sets are few, and small. And yes, they are rehashes. (Remind yourself you got big prequel-era sets last year. Every day can't be Christmas.)

2. At this point the gimmick sets should be really obvious to anyone paying attention.

3. Brace yourself for price increases. And anyone overly concerned with PPP should just give up now.

4. The two big (non-UCS) sets are way out of left field.

Honestly out of left field could be cool like if this is referring to something like a Mon Cal Cruiser or some weird downscaled SSD.

Thanks. Consistently one of my favorite people-who-has-leaks-sometimes for how you go about giving the info out. (Not that anyone's entitled to hearing the leaks, but like you say, repeatedly telling people you have info but won't give it out is a little annoying)

My thoughts on the info:

1. Meh, fine. Honestly, you know what? Good. We've gotten quite a few big prequel sets recently. Be nice to get some big OT ones.

2. Mechs, then? That's... that's... I mean, what the hell. This is more baffling than vidyo was. Do kids want these?

3. I think we already knew this, but yeah, it sucks. Inflation's a b***h

4. Huh. Going off them not being PT, I have a slim hope for some new OT capital ships, though given people's general info about the wave I feel like it won't be.

At this point I'm expecting something worse than mechs. Few PT sets is unfortunate but its understandable given how well the last 2-3 years have been. If its out of left field I'm expecting something weird like that large transport from Kenobi.

What could possibly be worse? Assumably these will be common figs, like Vader, Mando, etc, and the builds would be completely non-canon. At least the random speeders in battle packs looked like they could be from star wars, and with the action battle sets you could just take off the targets.

(That said, now I'm imagining the gimmick doesn't have figures, but it'd at least have to trade-off for a canon build, or it just wouldn't even be a star wars set)

1. No Gunship, then. Ugh. That is unfortunate, but I hope that the rehashes are of things that really could use remakes (the V-wing, for example, would count as a "rehash", but it is due for an update and it features quite prominently in TBB).

2. Most likely mechs (though @Lego_Minecraft_Goat said that there would not be any mechs 🤔). I am actually cautiously optimistic about these; this may be an unpopular opinion, but I am not really a fan of Microfighters. There was a time when they served as a decent supplemental army-builder (2016-2017 were probably the strongest years), but the most recent entries have just been reuses of Minifigs that are available in other, better, sets. Despite being solidly non-Canon, mechs would actually provide usable builds along with their Minifigs (instead of weird blocky, chibi, renditions of ships that really only serve as parts-packs), and can be converted into other themes with a few minor changes (a Vader mech could be modded into a mech for Batman, Catwoman, Blue Beetle, War Machine, Punisher, Black Cat, Cole, Garmadon, etc, with only a handful of common pieces).

3. Prices and part-counts have already leaked, and the PPPs are not that bad - Do you mean that there will be an increase from what we have seen thus far?

4. This could either be very good, or very bad. . .

The Jedi Starfighter and Fighter Tank weren't big. Some of the bigger sets were from the "dark times", but I wouldn't call that prequel era. That only leaves the AT-TE. A single rehash = Christmas?

Mostly rehashes with focus on the OT, straight from my nightmares?

I was right then to assume that SW would end up at the bottom of my list of favourite themes this year. That’s really sad, cause Marvel and DC are both on there too :laugh_hard:

What is "ppp"?

Price Per Part.

These new details have me very intrigued. Left field choices and things that are worthwhile but not what anyone's asking for.

Do sequels sets fit that bill? There's still a few TRoS things that need making.

Thank you for this information. Always reliable, informed, and fair.

1. Interesting. Not a clue what they could be. I don’t think this is necessarily bad, because it could be a good army builder or something (I hope).

2. The mechs make me want to vomit.

3. This was expected, and also frustrating. Just means not getting day 1 and waiting for a few deals. People won’t pay Full Price.

4. I like this. Always happy to get something surprising and new even if I won’t always buy.

thanks again.

Fair enough my bad, this is why I usually just say nothing, but that is all right. Luckily there’s still like four or five blank sets with decent piece counts that could turn out alright. Though anyone who was excited about the large 2,000+ piece set in September will be veryyy disappointed.

A V-Wing remake certainly could fit those descriptions, and could sensibly come with a plain Phase 2 clone too. Not expecting it, but it would be brilliant for me, I've not had a V-wing since the 2006 one and I could really do with a plain Phase 2 helmet and would prefer not to butcher a 212th helmet to get one

I haven’t seen anything about a V-wing, the one smaller prequel set I have heard about is just kinda weird?

like not bad but just a very random remake.

If the mech rumours are true I can see why TLG are going in this direction; they will certainly have enough market research and sales data from the Marvel mechs to give them an idea of what to expect. Funnily enough I don't think it's kids (directly) who are the target - it's parents. Parents who need to find an inexpensive (ymmv) present for their kid to take to another kids birthday party, aunts and uncles who know their niece/nephew likes SW but doesn't really know which characters/movies and plays it safe by buying them something small, impulse buys when you just need junior to put a sock in it. It doesn't hurt that by presumably replacing microfighters they are also raising the price of the cheapest sets by $5 so when adults need to something, anything LSW related $15 is the lowest they can go.

Hhm random prequel rehash. 🤔 Wookiee Catarmeran, Swamp Speeder?

The catamaran isn’t exactly “small”, but a set based on the Battle of Kashyyyk would indeed be pretty random.

Also, weren’t there some musings about the possibility of a Dooku minifig recently? Not sure which set would only “potentially” include him though.

Maybe his speeder and a Yoda fig for that ep 2 duel? Also thinking it could be a Naboo Flashspeeder since we haven't gotten one of those in years. No idea about the rest, hoping the larger sets at least are interesting.

If the set was depicting either of that, it would definitely include him, not just “potentially”

Not sure if that Dooku thing is even real in the first place. Just throwing it out there

Depends what scale they do really. And he said 'smaller' set, so I took that as not necessarily small, just one of the smaller sets of the wave.

The only musings I could think of regarding Dooku was something along the lines of someone asking M&R if Dooku could be coming this year, him saying he could only see him potentially coming in sets he didn't know about so a very slim chance, so probably no Dooku. This then got turned into 'Dooku could be coming in a set' kind of rumour i.e. something from nothing. At least that's what I can gather.

Going through sets we’ve gotten that are prequel movie based sets that would be random remakes for

episode 1 I’ve got the following

Gungan Patrol,Naboo Swamp,Flashspeeder,Watto’s Junkyard,and the Gungan Sub.

Episode 2

Bounty Hunter Pursuit (people want this though),Hailfire Droid,Homing-Spider Droid.

Episode 3

Wookie Attack,Grevious Wheel Bike,Swamp Speeder,Obi Wan’s Blue Interceptor or Anakin’s Green Interceptor.

I really can’t think of anything else this stuff could be unless it’s an actual TCW remake of something random.
