Just curious, has any leaker actually stated that this Yoda's Starfighter IS the direct remake from 2017? Or have we just gotten the set name?

Since the Yoda Starfighter doesn't make a lot of sense, I'm wondering if it's possible that it's a Yaddle set from the Tales of the Jedi. She has a small ship she uses to follow Dooku (wasn't there a rumor about him that hasn't been resolved?).

Ohhh true that's possible

Jesus, not this again. NO, lego has no reason to "sabotage" prequel sets. If sets sell, lego would want to sell them. Not to mention, after they realized people wanted clones, they've made a TON of clones over the past few years. Sorry for picking on you specifically, but I see this theory all the time, and it's not only not supported by any real facts or statistics, but there's absolutely no motive for lego to do it. I mean, I'm sorry, but what? Really? Lego wants to sabotage prequel sets because... what, they don't like money?

Exactly. LEGO exists primarily to make money, so they will do what they think will make the most money. They will inevitably get that wrong sometimes (I.e. Black Panther bust, 1st Order AT-ST), but not on purpose, especially not with the prequels. It's difficult to believe people can look at the UCS Gunship, the AT-TE with Cody, the 501st battle pack, the Clone buildable helmets, 501st Legion Clone Troopers, and think LEGO is trying to sabotage the prequels.

I honestly think the best is yet to come, like the prequels are this relatively untapped well LEGO will utilize more and more going forward. There's so much potential with pod-racers, capitol ships, starfighters, speeders, locales, etc. both at system and UCS scale. "I say patience."

What happened with the other guy who you co-administrated the group with? Like you guys had almost the good cop, bad cop routine together, I liked it =)

Seconding this, I remember that guy.

Well I don't know if I was the good cop or the bad cop. But we've had a few different Mods move on due to life changes. Right now Cloney and I try to keep things running smoothly on the SW side.

This is a good reminder that if you're really bugged by something you are all always welcome to send me or Clone OPatra a PM. We keep on eye on reports as well. For example, I got 5 different reports that user "Leaks and News" was trolling. We see those reports and it helps us find trouble makers quickly.

So if that was the good cop routine I guess I need a little of the bad cop. How about, stay on target or I'll send Darth Vader to your mom's house! :vader:

Yup. There's no weird agenda against the prequels.

Now that doesn't mean lego isn't making absolutely wild choices, but they definately don't have some hidden anti-prequel bias. People are seeing ghosts.

That's such an obscure ship that I would say it can't be it, but at the same time the Yoda set itself is so inexplicable that it really wouldn't even surprise me if it was actually the Yaddle set.

Definately the good cop, but you and cloneopatra definately do a good job here. I'd like to formally request that Cloneopatra should just start throwing chairs at people to become the bad cop.

I’m back after being away for the weekend, and wow that was a lot to read through.

The Young Jedi Adventures set is cool, nice to be getting some unique minifigs. The build probably won’t be great, but I’ll probably try to pick it up on clearance when it inevitably ends up there.

Yavin 4 is nice and overdue. The amount of minifigs is crazy. This might end up being something I want to get if the build looks good and the figs are somewhat interesting.

The Swamp Speeder is likely a pass unless it includes a Jedi I really want, since I’m trying to avoid paying money for Lego’s awful current clone design.

Microfighter, Mechs, and Chewbacca are meh. Not for me. I’m interested to see how the Chewbacca set ends up looking like though.
And if one of the sets ends up being the Home One, that’s an instant buy for me. Still don’t have an Ackbar figure and he’s one of my favourite characters.

It really triggers me when people call the new clone design “awful” when it’s really good not the best but still good, I understand subjectively you may not like it but calling it awful it’s not right also the helmet holes are overhated

We didn't know it was a 501st battlepack but we knew an AT-RT and BARC Speeder combo set was coming iirc. It could happen in the same vein that its also a Muunilist 10 Gunship (not a 0% chance but I would bet 100 Cloud City Boba Fetts against it).

I know but still, we knew about the AAT before we knew about the barc speeder with AT RT just like how we knew about that set before the razor crest and AT AT

If the medals are separate pieces it will be interesting to see if they tweak Han's torso print to be fully buttoned up or just reuse the existing ANH figure.

Hopefully we get a new torso for Han, the current figure has his button-down from Return of the Jedi, not his original v-neck. We haven't gotten an actual Ep. IV Han since the 2011 Millennium Falcon!

Also, just spitballing, but is it possible the set numbers for the Swamp Speeder and Yoda Starfighter got mixed up? A 4+ YJA Yoda ship with 100 pieces for $25 and a Swamp Speeder with 250 pieces for $35 makes a heck of a lot more sense than the reverse, at least to me.

Why is coming up with weird conspiracies the new copium? :laugh_hard: PT fans have nothing to complain about really. We finally got our long-awaited Cody last year and a UCS Gunship the year prior, how are these not massive wins? And the upcoming helmets too!

Sure, this summer’s PT stuff so far sounds lackluster to say the least, but at least we’re getting something. Andor/Kenobi/TBoBF fans are starving and ST/RO/Solo fans can play xylophone on their ribs now. Rebels/Resistance fans are compost. All the while OT fans are about to burst and they’re still getting dessert shoved into their faces

As a fan of new stuff and especially new characters (whatever era they’re from) I require more nutrients too  These sets are breadcrumbs to me, give me some MEAT

I’m talking about the printing being all stylized to make it seem like it’s animated with those weird grey cheeks. No other Lego Star Wars figures have those weird concave chest curves, and it makes the clones look completely out of place. I don’t completely hate the new helmet mould with holes, but it’s just laziness from Lego, and contributes to the clone figures looking bad. (Cody with his comically oversized visor, rangefinders being at wonky angles and locations) In trying to make a helmet mould that worked for both Cody and regular P2 clone troopers, they made one that worked well for neither.
And like yeah, the clones do look like they’re trying to be clones, but Lego doesn’t deserve a pat on the back for the figures having a passable resemblance to the characters they’re attempting to portray.

If you like the clone design I love that for you, it’s just not something that I can personally stand, and certainly not something I’d personally want to spend money on.

Speaking for myself only, I'm not a big fan of UCS display-only sets, especially when they have 2 practically useless figures, are too big to fit anywhere, and are out of my budget. Helmets too; just not my thing, I'm just after the playscale sets with figures. Still waiting for a new playscale gunship (though I do have the 2008 one now), and there are tons of figures LEGO hasn't made in sets I want, hasn't made in too many years, or hasn't made at all. Padme, Rex, Jar-Jar, Plo-Koon, Kit Fisto, etc. Also need some form of Nubian ship, be it from any of the three prequels, I don't mind. Some form of Coruscant at all, ideally MBS, perhaps a Jedi Temple, etc. LEGO's done a brilliant job at upping the number of prequel-era sets we've been getting recently, but obvious mistakes like Yoda's starfighter and things that really should be something cooler like the swamp speeder are alright, but are by no means the best thing LEGO could be putting out if they want to maximise their moola.

Games as source material, I think a majority would be hankering for the ship from Jedi Fallen Order...

Don't need a remake of the 2017 one...

Yes I do, the 2017 was too big.

And I'm all on board for FO sets, that game was one of the best things that has been released under Disney SW.

Could Yoda's starfighter not easily been mistaken for something like this? (remember the Sebulba figure that was rumoured with Grievious his fighter?)
Saesee Tiin's Jedi Starfighter™ 9498 - LEGO® Star Wars™ - Building Instructions - Customer Service - LEGO.com US
(would still be weird imo, considering it's niche and we have a Jedi Starfighter on shelfs right now... )

^ that seems too small, I could see those enigines being 2x2 wide, the cockpit 4 studs wide... sized as a large microfighter

Maybe combined with Dooku his speeder-thing, it also appeared in episode III, used by Anakin during Palpatines arrest, so it has some more iconic value to it?

Lol just seeing somewhere on insta that 75381 is a c-3p0 helmet 😂😂😂 I dont think it's real

You’ve really got to to start checking better lol, it’s very clear it isn’t true purely by the user, and the bio/caption.

This shouldn’t even be put in this forum because it’s that obvious!

I agree whole-heartedly. The newer style of Clone helmet is fine. It's not perfect but to call it awful and boycotting them is hilariously dramatic. And I agree about the holes in the helmet. For crying out loud, we finally get a phase 2 helmet that allows for attachments and people still complain.

I very seriously doubt the ship is Yaddle's. For one thing, the ship she used is possibly the least interesting Star Wars ship ever created. Even if Yoda’s starfighter is random, Yoda is an iconic character and making him readily available in a cheap set is a good move on LEGO's part and they know Jedi Starfighters sell well. Does it make sense with the recent slate of Star Wars content? No, but it definitely makes sense for LEGO's bottom line.

Person who is selling christmas ewok sells also minifigures from harry potter and marvel which are rumored to appear in 2023 advent calendars. There's not yet rumored list of minifigures for SW advent calendar but he sells Omega, 212 trooper and b1 droid too. This could mean that these 3 minifigures are in calendar.

Maybe, maybe not. All three of them are recent minifigs, so the seller offering those doesn’t really mean anything. That said, I wouldn’t mind if they were to be included :classic:

There always seems to be a B1 in the advent calendars anyway. 212 is coming in the magazine so the Advent calendar wouldn't make it anymore accessible (for those of us in magazine countries anyway, it should very easy to get 212th), Omega would be a nice inclusion, I personally do already have one but it'd be good for her to be more accessible.

I must admit that I've never actually gotten a SW advent calendar. They always seemed much worse that the castle and pirate ones back in the day, less figs, higher price, mostly minibuilds etc.

So what 12 minifigures do you think we’ll get with the Yavin base? I’m thinking maybe: Luke (would love to see the poncho piece return but I’m guessing he’ll be in his orange jumpsuit rather than Tatooine garb), Han, Leia, R2-D2, C-3PO, Biggs Darklighter, Jek Porkins, Wedge Antilles, General Dodonna, Rebel Technician, Rebel Fleet trooper and then maybe Vander to go with the Y-Wing microfighter or just another astromech.

Before the list proper, I'd just like to say that, since so many of the characters in this set are repeats and with the cost so high, I really hope LEGO takes the opportunity to update/rectify some figures that have been flawed or stagnant for far too long. (While the OT gets the lion's share of sets, the curse of that is it gives them an excuse to keep the same designs in production for years and years, while whenever we do get prequel sets the figures are usually all new.) Stuff like an accurate Ep. IV Han torso, a new generic Rebel Pilot head, a correctly-colored Chewbacca, or even an Ep. IV-specific Luke head (I've always disliked how there are literally six modern Luke heads for ESB, but the original movie has to share the stoic froggy head from RotJ) would go a long way to making this set not just a long time coming, but an all-time classic.

That said, regardless of how they appear, my 12 minifigure prediction is:

- Luke Skywalker (Ceremony w/ Medal Piece)

- Han Solo (w/ Medal Piece)

- Princess Leia (Ceremony, probably using the 2019 TPM Padme hair)

- Chewbacca

- C-3PO

- R2-D2

- General Willard

- Gold Five (Pops Krail) OR Gold Three (Evaan Verlaine)

- Red Leader (Garven Dreis)

- Rebel Honor Guard x2

- Rebel Mechanic

I think that if they include the Honor Guard they won't include any Fleet Troopers, also I know everyone's predicting they reuse Dodonna, but imo what would be even more in character for LEGO would be to include the briefing room but not Dodonna as a way to entice people to buy the 75301 X-wing to complete the scene. The reason there are two potential Y-Wing pilots listed is because if they purely stick to ANH Gold Five would be the ideal choice, but I could easily see them including Gold Three to have another girl even though she didn't actually appear in the movie, like what they did with Rae Sloanne in the TIE Bomber. Regardless, if they ignore the opportunity and just throw in yet another Dutch Vander, WE RIOT.
