Reintroduction of futuristic wheels from 8432 set?

This looks like futuristic class harvester

We may get a recolor of all-plastic 2148 wheels from the 71780 Ninjago set:

They are two-sided and their "thin-profile" side may work here very well:

Is Technic coming out of its dark years? The cars are getting better (Peugeot!), we're getting three proper Technic sets with the Rover, the John Deere Skidder and the Firefighter Plane. The Airbus was already pretty nice. New images are making me happy :pir-love:

There is also a picture of the brand new never seen before Bugatti Bolide.

Looks like dark azure. I hope so anyway.

Not sure why the release of the same set in a different colour. In saying that, if I see it at a good price on sale I'll most likely buy it so I have the matching set :)

I wouldn't be so optimistic. IMO post-2018 Technic is in a clear downturn and Lego doesn't seem to be changing direction. They abandoned B-models, they have ridiculously jacked up prices, they ditched Power Functions in most sets and introduced an inferior system, the theme has been dominated with car sets making it Racers 2.0, and the build quality has been lacking a lot in some sets, too. Simply because this year's sets are somewhat better from some awful sets of the past one or two years, it doesn't mean Technic is out of its dark ages.

I feel the same way. 2021 offered some brief hope, but it was all too brief.

Personally I think so. Lego was really gunning to get adult car enthusiasts to buy their Technic sets. I am not sure if this marketing strategy paid off as well as they wanted. The ferarri 488 for example just sits on the shelves of my local Barnes and Noble discounted. They seem to be really listening to fan feedback now and going back to their roots of making technically interesting models. Even the Cars are using novel solutions now.

It could've worked for a while, but then all those people who are really into cars but not that much into Lego bought their one or maybe two car sets and then forgot about Lego.

They won't abandon cars, that's for sure, but I hope they're going to expand the offerings of other kinds of machinery in the future. They certainly have the skill and resources to make awesome sets as they have proven with the Tow Truck, Airbus, ATV and now (probably) with the John Deere and Perseverance rover, now they just need to bring the focus back to these things that are at the core of Technic. Oh, and make those cars better too, the Peugeot shows some small promise I guess, but I hope there will be others with something more than those done-a-thousand-times steering+fake engine+simple suspension car sets.

echo_bricks on Instagram also has Skider pictures.

I'm interested in what's going on with the back axle, it looks like a suspension of sorts as a function?

Pneumatic as suspected but just from the picture doesn't seem like a big deal compared to something like 42128.

Rover looks awesome and I'm getting it just for the display value alone. If they manage to sneak some functions in it would be icing on the cake.

If the Liebherr crane is set n. 42146 from last year, and the Bugatti is 42162, we are missing 42159, 42160 and 42161.

May we expect 3 unveiled sets for summer / October?

I also feel strange they released new Technic sets almost every month this year, I'd like to have the same continuity also in summer and autumn

As far as I know, these e will be the 1:5 scale bike, the small Lamborghini Hurracan and possibly a C+ Audi Q e-Tron

Oh yes sorry I forgot about them! Still to know the release date.

The latter two are August iirc. Maybe the bike, too.

I think I missed it, but the LEGO® 42160 Audi RS Q e-tron sounds interesting. I will surely pre-order the Mars Rover.

My usual local retailer has a pre-order price for the John Deere at 152,99€. Seriously considering doing a pre-order, but I want also the Curiosity Rover and it's not listed yet so going to wait at least few days more...

Hmmm strange.

I just pre-ordered the Mars Rover.

Funny thing about the John Deere is that the tires are mounted backwards. People are finally getting used to mounting them correctly hehe

I stand corrected. Obviously, the backside is shown on the box. Thanks to @kbalage for pointing it out. Good thing I'm not doing reviews anymore

Deere skidder was on my list, but knowing my local stores (and shipping costs when I order on-line); but now I have only plan to finish my MOCs and...
