60363 - Ice Cream Shop (296 Pieces)
60364 - Urban Skate Park (454 Pieces)
60366 - Ski and Climbing Center (1045 Pieces)

I don't trust random instagram people. However if we do not get a new cargo / dock thing with the newer roadplates I'll be mad.

ski and climbing center sounds interesting, especially since I missed out on the ski resort

if the urban skate park looks anything like the friends skate park, I’m going to lose it

overall, summer city sounds promising

According to exabrickslegogo, the theme of the exploration theme to be released in the summer of 2023 is the Arctic.

You can find it on Instagram.

Lego likes unexpected synergies between unrelated parts of its product line. If that is so - which is the wildest speculation at this point - it would go really well with our favorite hyper-intelligent outcast space whale :)

Arctic sets sounds good to me. I just bricklink'd all 2014 arctic sets together again.

2018 arctic sets were meh, so lets hope those new ones are just as great as the 2014s!

I agree! The 2014 ones were way better. Especially the base.

2023 might be the first year in a while where the best city set of the year is from the first half.

If the first half City sets are best then it's one of the worst City years ever.

I for one like artic, but yeah the 2014 ones were so much better. The last time ones were too much on vehicles and the best part of the sets were the animals.

This is fantastic news, and I'll add to the chorus saying 2014 Arctic was better. I hope next summer's keeps orange as the main color scheme so I can keep going with my custom space theme. I thought I'd built everything I could think off for my space base (made using 2014 Arctic sets and Arctic -inspired MOC's), but now I can have fresh ideas! Thanks LEGO!

Honestly I’m hoping to see some red, more accurate, but I can see Lego doing orange for consistency, like it’s not that Lego switched from cool yellow to vibrant yellow for police/fire, making all the old stuff obsolete this year

2014 Arctic was awesome! I just heavily modded the ship. Most of the vehicles were great that year compared to the past wave. I look forward to the new wave but I fear they will be more childish. Oh the struggles of an AFOL haha.

Hope they're as good as the 2023 Lego Friends Skate Park and the many Lego Friends Ice Cream Parlours. Also hope the German Shepherd/Alsatian puppy shows up again in one of them so it's not just exclusive to the Police set

Got to admit that wave is full of nice and interesting sets, the amount of buildings mentioned is really big. And finally a new passenger plane with a possible good airport (look at the piece count, I don't think we're going to get a gigantic plane). Some of the sets seem weird (low piece count buildings) but at least those are CITY related sets.

These all sound interesting. Hopefully the Skate park will merge well with the 2023 Friends one. An apartment building could be great if executed well and people will probably buy more than one and turn it into a modular. I'm interested to see what the Urban Centre will consist of. Hopefully the Demolition Site will have a wrecking ball vehicle and a dump truck since we've had so many bulldozer/loader/tractor things over the last couple of years. We just had a family house with an electric car in the last year or two, so hopefully this new one will be different. Some of those sets sound like they have potential to give us some good animals

Looks like some replacements for sets, but also new concepts, will have to see pictures and prices before final judgement but it's nice to see more City location focus.

Would be interesting to see if the Ski / Climb center is like focused around some sloped build, the 2023 Police academy (and also 41324: Snow Resort Ski Lift)  shows some verticality, and a climb wall would be a nice fit to get a ski slope a bit of height, but I think it's more likely to see something like previous sets and use maybe recolored stuntz ramps in white (and a design closer to 2023 Friends skate park)

Another City Skate park hopefully has some more studless road plates and not focused around a lot of those newer studded plates, as that's just a waste of pieces in that case if it needs to be tiled up, just because road plates might not be used that much, I doubt they'll phase out anytime soon.

Still waiting to see 3-in-1 Cozy House as well, as that's another potential 3 official new houses this year if you count alternate builds, and then this Family House and Apartment.

It's not unlikely that appartment building is similar to something like the Downtown City fire sets, 3 story high, but actually filled in with walls and windows instead of on fire :pir-blush:

Just going by piece counts, the exploration ship could either be a very simple build, or maybe a smaller set like the 2023 Fire Boat, and former Diving Yacht, perfect hull size imo.

Deep Sea Submarine sounds big for the piece count (avatar sub has 553 and isnt that small, and has 2 rocky builds), maybe it's more then just a sub, but also underwater terrain and perhaps a base or something, I did like the 2020 designs, and the 2022 3-in-1 sub goes well with the colors as well.

After some searching 60376 is the Snowmobile and the passenger plane is actually 60367. So we're having (I think) a single airport set, I hope this one isn't a big plane with 4 seats and the smallest airport ever

Ok! I don't think the 2023 wave is entirely hopeless anymore. I'm actually excited for a lot of these.

City series designer Corvin Alexander Stichert once tweeted that he was referring to cargo planes in relation to airplane set.
