Will be interesting to compare the Houses and more Downtown sets from 2023 City, Creator and Friends, as each theme gets at least one House set , and then both a rumored downtown City and 3-in-1 set , beside the already known downtown Friends set.

Friends

  • 41730: Autumn's House (853 pc)
  • 41732: Downtown Flower and Design Stores (2010 pc)

Creator 3-in-1

  • 31139: Cozy House (808 pc)
  • ??? Summer rumours 31141 - Main Street (1459 pc)

City

  • 60365 - {? Apartment Building ?} (688 pc)
  • 60380 - {? Urban Centre ?} (2010 pc)
  • 60398 - {? Family House & Electric Car ?} (462 pc)

I may add some of those Friends houses to my town too.

Just got the new Stuntz Bikes, as usual the minifigures are great.   Would love to have new bike body but it's ok.  The bear stunt driver have lovely printing and love the new head.  Wondering if they will continue to have new stuntz bike beyond March.   Also not sure in other regions but in New Zealand, these currently only available via LEGO.com.

Just got this set today for approx. 17 USD today. Good price?

It's probably the first Police truck (except the patrol car last year) that I've ever got.

Appreciated that police truck has been improved.LEGO-City-Mobile-Police-Dog-Training-603

I think that truck is pretty cool, the rounded front especially is somewhat different, a bit like the more modern land rover discovery.

Meanwhile the truck from the 60371: Emergency Vehicles HQ is more like a Land Rover Defender.

I'm not trying to compare City vehicles to the real-licensed Speed Champions or anything, I just think it's interesting to see similarities between real world vehicle models and paint color schemes vs City.

Even while Police, Fire, and Medical vehicles are nothing new, basicly the staple of LEGO City and Town before that, it's still nice to see what designers come up with, with newer pieces allowing different headlight variations, which will likely even increase over the years as LEGO introduces new parts or transparent variants of existing parts.

Even with Speed Champions moving to 8 wides, it's nice to see City and Friends vehicles are also still evolving.

How did you get it at that price? If I find it for that much I’m picking it up

It isn't the best price, the best price should be $14 by my experience. After all, I am not in the US

Europe gets City sets for cheaper and better sales. I learned to look on eBay after widespread European sales.

Yeah the Europe / America pricing has been weird for a long time now, with pricing going both ways.

It's not new animal mould but getting a new variant of cat and french bulldog both in one of the smallest set is such a blessing.  Although the van is not good even as a 4+ build.  IF you think about it, it's still cheaper to buy this and the otter ones compared to getting the animals only when it's available from standard pick a brick in a few months time.

Anyone else wanna see the City Road plates do corners and roundabouts?

Some kind of curve, definitely. Even if you can get by without them for a city street layout, they're pretty essential for racetracks, which were one of the other major uses that the old road baseplates had back in the day!

Ideally, I think I'd prefer a curve that turns less than 90 degrees, like LEGO train tracks have, so you have the option of off-grid building. But a 90-degree turn would definitely be simpler for builders to work with, especially younger kids.

I couldn’t find a separate thread about the A-Frame Cabin - are we classing this as City and OK to discuss here?

Not sure about the answer to your question, but so far I've mostly seen folks have been discussing it in the Ideas discussion thread.

Man! I wish Lego would do a race course set. It would be a true excuse to make curvy roads plates. That leads me into something else too! People are saying that the road plates are set to be discontinued, but I highly doubt that as there are children who love to roll their Lego vehicles on them when playing pretend and there are adult town builders who use them for their towns. So I personally think they'll stick around, especially there is a new pedestrian crossing piece that I believe leaked on Instagram - can't really find a picture of it. Some other ideas I have other than the race course are......well....you've gotta go on the Ideas for new City sets forum to see those.

I love the set. I'm waiting until they are $6-$7 like almost all $10 sets become at some point in the USA. Those torsos are like $1 each, the cat and dog at least $1.50 so right there is $5. The car sucks but at least it has prints that are useful.

i bought at $13NZD (roughly $8.3 USD at today's rate) so that's like 25% off RRP in NZ.   same with the otter set.

I expect the cat and dog will be around $2.5 ~ $3 NZD when become available in Pick a Brick, so I felt like I had a very good bargain =)
