I bought that set (and in fact own every City police station except for the new 2023 4+ police station which I will probably buy at some point and the 2 versions of 7237 Police Station which are too expensive on the used market to justify a purchase) and I actually don't mind it.

but it's USED, not new and sealed in bag. Still good?

I skipped it immediately without any hesitation, consideration and regret.

The 2022 Police station isn't so the best, still has too much room for improvement, but at least it comes with base plates, which makes things a lot better. The 2020 one was just awful.

I’m planning to use the 2020 police station for a moc, so I don’t really care if it’s a good set

i still would recommend picking that up, it seems like a good deal

That's the beauty of Lego. You don't have to use the pieces to build that exact set on the box. There were sets that I didn't want, but I got as gifts. Time to put them to good use.

Just finished building the ambulance GWP. A decent little set with a few nice parts in it.

Glad I was able to snag one (thanks to a parts order from LEGO online)

Yeah! I saw that GWP and I think its a neat build, especially for a town that's based in the mountains. Personally, I prefer ambulances made for the road, like the one included in the emergency vehicle headquarters set, which I proudly use as a 911 dispatch center. I wish I would've kept that ambulance though as it would've been good for my hospital. I'll need to find the pieces to that one. Btw, I need to ask you something. Are you a town builder too? You speak a lot about getting parts and using City sets for parts so I was just wondering. If you are a town builder, can I follow you on Instagram.....if you have?

Not sure if it’s worthy to share my opinion so soon but here it goes anyways…

since Freinds theme got giraffe and zebra last year, I am hoping that City would get giraffe mold this year. I mean, seriously, giraffe is on my long-waiting list. You see - Freinds got elephant calf in 2020 and then City got its own elephant calf in 2021. I do wonder if we will see giraffe, zebra, llama, etc in City in a near future.

However, i would be pleased that there would be new animals in Arctic / Ocean Exploration subtheme like orca.

Can anyone comment if the gift Lego 40586_Moving_Truck has size proportional or similar to most other City vehicles? I am hesitating because it doesn't fall into the City category. If it's size is much bigger or inproportional to other City vehicles then I will probably not get it. It depends.

It's got a 6w cab and an 8w box. That is proportional or similar to most other City vehicles. Done.

The truck is 6 wide max, unless you include wheels + arches , but yes it's certainly City scaled.

I’m impatient about Arctic Underwater Exploration subtheme…. I want to know more about them.

Like what kind of vehicles? Animals? How many minifigures?

Looks like Lego Group likes to release some City sets in a larger quantity while some in a much lower quantity. e.g 40582 is readily available here everywhere for only $10 and it contains 162 pieces, while the recycling truck i.e. 60386 is selling for $30 and it has only 261 pieces and many shops don't have it. What could be the reason behind? I don't think the 4x4 ambulance is a lot more attractive than the recycling truck.

The reason is that 40582 was a GWP.

Here's a topic starter, when will we see the end of stuntz, the subtheme is clearly on its last legs, I constantly see the 2nd wave on clearance, as well as some of the first wave, though I live in mississippi so that's why 🤣

I'm placing my money on this year tbh

Hopefully this is the last year of it (last year of new sets that is, a few just released current 2023 sets probably will be around in 2024.

I mean, I do like some of the bikes and smaller sets, I only got the first version of Stunt Show because it was like 55% off, and recently took it apart for the parts (aside from the monster trucks).

The 2020 Stunt Park was also a decent set, at least when it was priced around €20, definately not a $40 set.

The 2023 raptor bike set is interesting as well, at least the Europe price on it is still ok, but the larger set and the truck are worse then previous larger set and truck.

Best thing to come from Stuntz are probably those ramps, which are reused in the 2023 Skate Park for example, and perhaps might show up in white in the City Skate Park or Ski related summer sets.

Rocket Racer being it's own set was nice, as was the Neon Cyber Bike this year, as those are nice bikes + figures. And from comments, I think the bathtub bike seemed popular among AFOL.
