The kind of set I literally dream about finding in stores. Just cool, non-licensed sets with amazing colors and no stickers. These look like they could be Space sets almost! Trans pink AND trans light green windscreens in one set! This is what I want to see, Lego. Stuff like this! Agreed, the colors are great, and the fact you can swap modules between vehicles was something that early space was full of (and recently seen again in the remake of Blacktron Cruiser). I love to see the module system is continued, and you can make some fun combinations even out of just 5 of those vehicles. With some modding, those could easily be some type of cyber city floating cars, or space cars (Space Police 3 had a bunch of car/truck inspired ships) The red car could also go together with the other "muscle cars" from 2021/2022, the black/turqoise and black/orange , on that car transporter truck. Also I do like that for summer 2023, the buildings , and vehicles are almost completely seperated from eachother , and if vehicles are included, they are mostly 4 wides that don't eat a lot of parts. The brick built powerboat certainly doesn't look bad either. The other monster truck set I don't think is that great, I prefer this yellow truck, or the quite fun monster trucks that came with the 2021 stuntz show. Edited June 1, 2023 by TeriXeri Quote

Thank you! So I'm NOT crazy for seeing the "Spaciness" in this set. 😊 I hadn't even seen that pic showing the modular front/rear bits. Cool. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted June 2, 2023 Posted June 2, 2023 The seal set was $10 AUD from Kmart on release day. What a steal for the seals and the actually great Minifigure with that new colouring for the hat-hair and backpack! Love the seals and that they made sure you could put the baby on the adult's back! Yeah, went to get it from Melbourne CBD store today and I think they are the only Kmart that hasn't put out new sets yet. Edited June 2, 2023 by dilligan Quote
danimarroquin Posted June 3, 2023 Posted June 3, 2023 (edited) Ok ! Official images are out on the LEGO website for the new passenger plane , I know the V tail created a lot of controversy , but the rest of plane looks amazing . Also , we can notice that we are finally getting a new wing piece design , more skinny and fixing the issues that we had over the years in the middle section of Lego passenger planes . Releasing September 1st which is kind of weird for a city set ! What do you guys think ? Edited June 3, 2023 by danimarroquin Quote

Both the tail and engine takes are somewhat questionable. Quote

They resemble of modern aircraft like the A320NEO , A220 or 737MAX , I can see why a lot of people don’t like the V tail but I’ll be also making a MOD and MOC to this set so I’ll be buying several ones of them . Sadly got pushed to September 1st and will now cost 120USD , but at least will come out at the same time of the icons concord . September sounds like a very happy month for aviation lovers , and now I’m really hoping for a big decent airport for this set which now will make sense . Quote

It's like Lego knows town builders want these sets and do it to make us angry or tease us. Quote

The fan blades should be inset of the nacelles. I just realized that Lego has never done a proper jet intake on all of their sets. Although this appears to be the first one with rounded nacelle leading edges. Quote
Ondra Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 Im kinda found it dystopian, that lego set with three cars cost probably less than three lego cars in 2k drive bought by microtransactions. These lego cars are here almost forever and virtual cars are here till they shut off servers. Quote

The engines intakes should be done with the fan blades inside the engine and not outside , and also I can see they add a green plate in there so I think they where going for more like a NEO engine . I wonder if we could power up those engines 🤔 Quote
Lion King Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 I wonder if next year’s fire sets would include a dalamantion puppy. Just wondering out loud. Quote

I'm still waiting to see an adult dalmatian with proper floppy ears, to be honest! The ones using the Alsatian/German shepherd mold have honestly always felt kind of awkward to me. One that uses the newer golden retriever mold would be a considerable improvement IMO, even if that one's chest and tail are a lot fluffier than a Dalmatian's fur would typically be in real life. You know what? You are right about a proper mold for Dalmatian! We have a puppy which it’s checked off our wishlist. I think winter waves usually bring new animal molds, such as kitten, squirrel, breed dg/puppy. So let’s hope there will be a proper mold for Dalminatian next winter! Quote
BrickSP Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 I purchased the Downtown city set a few days ago so it'll be interesting to see if it's worth the £180. I know I should've waited as it'll be a lot cheaper very soon but I couldn't resist. It's very Asian in it's styling so will look quite good next to all the NInjago city sets. The skywalk reminds me of Bangkok which I've just returned home from so I suppose that had something to do with me deciding to get NInjago City Markets, Monkie Kid Palace and City Downtown all in the first week of release with no discounts. I'll regret this when I need to go to the supermarket - or I'll not eat and buy the new Ninjago Temple tomorrow Quote
Lion King Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 I wonder there would be more 2K Drive sets later. Quote
jonwil Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 I just love how awesome some of the smaller City sets have gotten as of late. Sets like the arctic snowmobile with the seals, the ATV with the park ranger and otters and the neon yellow electric sports car. Quote

That purple car will also go well with the cyber stuntz bike or the neon yellow eletric sports car for some cyberpunk/sci-fi/tron/neo-japan etc. And the red car will go well with the "muscle car" styled vehicles from previous years . The 2x monster truck set isn't as interesting to me as it really looks more like a playset / tiny turbos style, but still has some fun designs with the taco cannon / mexican wrestler outfit, and pirate inspired vehicle. (+ I already have 2 monster trucks from 60295: Stunt Show Arena, which I think look better) + one set also has that yellow "SUV" that's almost a monster truck by itself. I wonder how many new parts for these 2K Drive sets? I mean, they look fun to build for sure! I think I will buy all of them. Quote

I really like the small sets that include some desirable animals or interesting parts. Most of the bigger sets tend to have a few new pieces of interest and a boring building with yet another police or fire vehicle, helicopter, boat or some other big build I have absolutely no interest in. Not spending $30 or more on a set just for some new animals. Not really into most of the vehicles so if half the pieces in a set are for some big vehicle unless I find it on a huge sale I just wait for the parts I want to show up on PAB. I did get the whole recent safari series because I wanted all the animals and didn’t have anything similar in my collection. Did grab extra animals from PAB. Quote
