Aerolight Posted September 12, 2022 Posted September 12, 2022 (edited) A teaser, will probably be a week before I can borrow a good camera to film with and yes that is a Unimog tire lol. 20220912_231818[1] by michael waterfield, on Flickr Edited September 12, 2022 by Aerolight bad link Quote
Zerobricks Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 That's massive indeed. Hope to see more photos, especially the hub assembly. I'd assume you are using large turntables to hold the wheels? Quote
TeamThrifty Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 I'm a big fan of 3rd party wheels and have used them myself - 150mm ones. I'm always interested in how they are mounted, so please can you show details on that? Quote
Aerolight Posted September 13, 2022 Author Posted September 13, 2022 Will make sure to show all in the video - my old truck uses the same wheel connection, no turntables, a capped axle with a threaded nut holds on the wheel and idler wheels against the rim (try to) keep the wheels straight. Quote
whitepen Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 Looks awesome! Cant wait for the video, what motors are used? Quote
lmdesigner42 Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 Love those tires, both the size and the tread. Something this large seems to be asking for an XL motor for steering (but probably not necessary) Quote
