I started with the red Camera Store on the left, which is has some interior decoration, and continued on with a strip of small, primary color, open-backed stores.

Sort of a mid-point between the old Main Street style and the newer, more detailed Cafe Corner style.

I really like this. It's very similar to the asthetic I have been developing for my modular seaside village. The way you combined the more ornate styles of Cafe Corner with a scale that is closer to traditional "town" is very effective at proving that you don't need a large building to show alot of detail. Nice variety of buildings also, I like the mini in the middle.

That's a great MOC, Chris Weagel!

I really   these little nice buildings!

It's nice to see that you designed them in different styles and gave the left and the right one open backwalls  .

Their architecture is amazing :oh: and the interior of the left building is simple but very nice, too!

But why didn't you include an interior in the right house, too, and why did you close the backwall of the house in the middle since the interior in the house on the left side is very nice?! :cry_sad:

I wish TLG would release something like that! A new Main Street with "historic" buildings, how amazing that would be! :oh:

Very, very well done!

BTW: I wanted to design one or some building similar to the CC styled buildings bit in the "classis" City layout (with open backwalls and with interior) in LDD, too. Now I haven't got enough time (learning for written tests :sceptic: ) but after having designed them in some weeks I'll show them, too  .

I don't know. It just happens.

Really though, the yellow building should have it's own third wall. Right now it relies on the blue building for its left wall. But since I don't see these ever separating.

Ideas for next time...
