In a little corner of no-mans-land between Kaliphlin and Avalonia and Varlyrio, three builders came together to build a House.  @Grover @Garmadon and myself spent a fun Saturday afternoon making the biggest tree of our building careers and possibly the biggest tree of the guilds!

This little house doesn't belong to anyone specific--it's a temporary place established by a band of roving knights long long ago.  Today, any knight on a quest stops here on his travels through the Wither Woods.

I gotta give the tree trunk a shout out for the angle it has; at Garmadon's suggestion I gave it five instead of four sides, which ended up really really helping it look round and organic.

I enjoyed adding a bunch of 'shrooms afterwards to bring it the scene to life a bit.  And working some of that peach color into the build was fun too!

There are so many leaves on this build!  They're surprisingly heavy, but by weaving them securely into layers, the final model ended up pretty sturdy though branches broke frequently before it got to that point!

Using the new-ish curved window frames for small bay windows was fun, though fitting them in there was a touch mathematically complex.

C&C welcome, hope you enjoyed this huge specimen of guild flora!  Thanks to Grover and Garmadon for their work on this build--twas lots of fun and a fantastic tree and we'll have to do this again sometime!

Awesome collaboration!  Always good to see Wither Woods builds.  The little house at the bottom is my favorite part - the curved windows fit in well and the colors are fitting to the rest of the scene.  The boomerang piece on the well is perfect!  I like using dark red tiles for the roof, but I don't like the layering/angle (looks like they are upside down).

I like the roots of the tree, but would have liked more colors in the foliage.  Having more colors on the ground is nice with the shrubs and pumpkins.

I love the expression on the minifigure and the posing.

Thanks!  Yes, there are actually some yellow leaves on the tree but they blend into the darker yellow very easily on photos.  I would have loved to have more to heighten the contrast but I only had about fifteen.  Also now that you mention the roof being upside down I can't unsee that.

Those curved windows were Garmadon's idea, he did a really impressive job getting them in there--it's very out of system!

It’s great to see collaborations like this! The huge and colorful tree is great, and I like the roots and mushrooms around the base.

Thanks Dan!

Nice one! It's crazy how big this thing is and that the leaves still hold together. Great job also on working with unusual bright colours :D.

It was a lot of fun to be a part of this collab.  As you mention, it's amazing it holds together.  You don't really get an appreciation for how strong and flexible wood is until you try to replicate the organic shape of a tree out of plastic!

That there tree sure is the biggest I've ever done seen!

You killed it, very impressive! Love the little windows. Excellent shaping on the trunk and boughs.

Would love to catch up with y'all under the shade of this gorgeous tree!

That is definitely true!  I'm very glad I didn't have to move this far to take pictures of it.
