[TC23] wheels

Hello,
here is my entry for the TC23 GBC contest.

I started with using the part 6335786 to make two wheels.

Then I continued in the theme by changing the principle of rotation, the chain turns around the rim.

For the last wheel, I wanted to make a hollow rim, without spokes. The chain also turns around.

The module has a frame rate slightly above 1bps. I designed it especially so that it works during an exhibition without having to intervene on it :)

It can be dismantled in 2 parts for easy transport:

Not so much in to GBC, but it would have been better (from esthetics point of view) , if each next wheel would be propotionally bigger.

I like the box particulary, it's well designed

It took me some time to see why there is caterpillar chain in the two first wheels

Unfortunately, I don't have an intermediate circle to make a progression in the size of the wheels.

I don't, know, maybe some custom solution from some beams and those 2x5 panel extensions or something. Just a suggestion.

Hello, here is version 2 of my module made for the TC23 contest. The last wheel caused me some problems when it's first event, I replaced it with a chain rotating around a frame. The outlet can be adjusted to different heights as desired !
