jonwil Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 (edited) Anyone seen the King's Mech yet? I heard a report its an exclusive (Toys R Us I think although I may be wrong) Edited February 6, 2016 by jonwil
Artanis I Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 The Library and the sets with both the King & Queen are exclusives to wherever
Artanis I Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 Wow about ^$%#%@$ time. Hope there's no exclusions.
jonwil Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 There are no exclusions, all LEGO that MYER actually has in stock is included. Don't waste your time going to MYER Robina though, they have no stock.
WhiteFang Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Can my fellow Aussie EB members help me? I planning to go Sydney next week and only be there a day or two. I want to check out the LEGO shops or places that can buy like sets such as GB HQ. Can you help me where is the best place to stay and buy them especially if there are other sets which have good deals too?
jonwil Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 You wont find the Ghostbusters HQ in Australia at this time.
WhiteFang Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 I thought GB HQ is out? How come I am unable to find it?
brickie Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 (edited) Hello White Fang, In Australia, there are no official "LEGO Stores', like the ones that are in Europe and USA . The GB house is only available at the moment to Australians via Shop at Home. I believe that it is Aust $500. Most of the retail shops in Australia carry the LEGO range of sets. There are some small retailers who sell just LEGO products but they are not associated with TLG. Myer is a good starting point for a range of LEGO sets. Perhaps you could track down SydLug on Google and someone might be able to help with accommodation. Play well. Edited February 13, 2016 by brickie
Artanis I Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 I thought GB HQ is out? How come I am unable to find it? D2C sets such as this one hit (very limited) retail a few months after S@H release. It is still too early for GB HQ. This is to encourage people to buy direct from TLG, but at full price does anyone?
Brickus Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Yep, and no Mr Freeze poly to go with it, it looks like.
Darth Malgus Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 Apparently it is coming out at a later date...
Civic Bossman Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Dr Who Ideas set @ TRU Cannington WA for $89.99
Brickus Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 (edited) Marvel Super Heroes Crossbones Truck set, spotted at Kmart Maroochydore, along with 2 mighty micro's. Edited February 25, 2016 by Brickus
jonwil Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 I wish people would stop giving their money to stores that charge higher than RRP for sets (like TRU charging $89.99 for the Dr Who set when RRP is $79.99)
Artanis I Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Why don't you go one better and instead wish for places like TRU to stop charging above RRP?
jonwil Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 That's the thing, if people stopped buying things above RRP the stores wouldn't sell the product and would see that charging above RRP is not the way to sell product.
ChrisW Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 I wish people would stop giving their money to stores that charge higher than RRP for sets (like TRU charging $89.99 for the Dr Who set when RRP is $79.99) Well, from my own perspective, I was able to purchase this set from TRU the weekend it came out in Australia (presumably). I didn't mind paying the $10 extra for the convenience, plus it saved me the hassle of having to avoid tracking it down at a Myer store or paying extra shipping from S@H anyway.
Ed3n Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 Bought Crossbone's Hazzard Heist for $39 and Harley's bike chase for $35 at Kmart Fountain Gate which I think is pretty good value. They also have all the mighty micro sets which I'm not interested in. They have the new avenjet set but no sign of Black Panther pursuit and Airport battle set. Bought Dr Who's set from Myer Fountain gate 2 weeks ago when they had 20% sale, only paid $63. They only had 4 at the time. When I went back, it was all gone.
Brickus Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Does anyone know whether we will see the Justice League Cosmic Clash DVD with Cosmic Boy minifigure in stores. Big W traditionally has gotten these in, but will they follow the trend this year?
Alien24 Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Does anyone know whether we will see the Justice League Cosmic Clash DVD with Cosmic Boy minifigure in stores. Big W traditionally has gotten these in, but will they follow the trend this year? Actually it just came out at Big W. Its says $16 on the shelf but after you scan it at the self serve register and hit "pay", it discounts to a price of $11.20. Also the figure comes inside the dvd case and some of the cases have a "minifigure included" picture on the front whereas others don't... so not sure if they all have one or not.
wesker Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 Spotted the Deadshot/Harley Quinn set at both Kmart and Myer, plus the Crossbones and Black Panther CW sets at Toys R Us. No sign of the Airport set yet.
Ed3n Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 Stacks of Dr Who idea sets spotted in Myer Melbourne CBD for those who missed out. I'm still waiting for the Airport battle set and the new speed champion sets to show up in stores. Can't find them anywhere.
Rare White Ape Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Myer Robina has Dr Who and Big Bang, about 20 of each.
