City Corner definitely comes out in September, and Creator Family Home definitely comes out in August - I spoke to TLC yesterday and confirmed that with them. Will be in all stores.

So what, if anything, comes out in June?

I would have thought at least City would have been widely available, they don't normally hold it back like the licensed themes or special themes.

That doesn't mean the stuff wont be in selected retailers earlier than that. LEGO Australia likely cant reveal details of exclusivity agreements they have with retailers.

In any case, given that the cemetery and the city corner are already available across the pond, I will try and get hold of copies from there.

Yes, it's time to move to NZ, where summer Indy sets and Star Wars are discounted 30% in their first week of release and you can buy a Green Grocer from S@H for $NZ150!

Taj Mahal now available at Myer Adelaide, $499. It's a heavy beast, I had to lift it up to find price tag. They only had one copy. They also had a bunch of Eiffel Towers in stock but I didn't see price.

A look at BL shows this is a bonanza for white pieces, but it would want to be for that price!

The Eiffel Tower was $400 discounted to $300 last year, so expect the same again. Loads of good grey there

When did the catalogue mention the Castle line would be out?

Emerald Night comes exclusive to Myer as of July, however the Flexible Track and the Power Functions to motorise Emerald Night will remain exclusive to Lego Shop @ Home.

Looks like I will have to put an order then! :( Oh well, maybe I can pick up the Pirate sets at the same time! :P

Got my Catalogue today!

Dates as in the Catalogue:

Sace Police 3:

-All new: September

Power Miners:

-Cave Crusher, Underground Mining Station, Crystal King, Rock Wrecker, Titanium Command Rig: August

Agents:

-Aerial Defense Unit, 4-Wheeling Pursuit, River Heist, Robo Attack, Gold Tooth's Getaway: September

Star Wars:

-Anakin's Y-wing, Separatist Shuttle, Corporate Alliance Tank Droid: August

-The Battle Of Endor: June

-Mid-scale Falcoln, Venator Cruiser, Pirate Tank, Home one: August

Indiana Jones

-Ambush in Cairo, Chauchilla Cemetery Battle, Fighter Plane Attack, Venice Canal Chase, The Temple of Doom: September

These are just the sets I'm most interested in, if you are looking for a specific set ask me and I'll have a look

No mention of Emerald Night, Cafe Corner or the UCS Falcon

No new indy until September??? WTF!!!! That makes me sad :(

Home One as early as August is a SMALL constellation

Bit strange that only Endor battle is coming out this month, and NOTHING in July? Here's to hoping we get greedy retailers that break street dates :P

Looks even more like we need to find a way to buy this stuff from across the pond in kiwiland (the only problem for me is finding a way to send money to NZ that doesn't require sending a physical letter (cash, money order etc) or using PayPal (because I refuse to use them after previous bad experiences)

Main problem with buying stuff from New Zealand is the fact that their customs do not offer the generous $1,000 duty free allowance that Australia does.

Anything over $50 attracts some ridiculous duty (can't remember if it's 18% or something like that) and then they slug you with a 12% (again not sure) GST on top of duty added price.

Makes the price not as attractive.

I looked at getting some Cafe Corners, and after duty / GST it was line-ball whether it was cheaper or not.

If you could pick up one of those things at a NZ retailer for the same price, then that would be where you could get a bargain!

Well I was given a quote from the NZ thread of NZD100 for the City Corner and NZD50 for the cemetery battle. Given that the CC is AUD99 on shop.lego.com and given that you need < 1 AUD to get 1 NZD, the prices in NZ seem to be better than those in AU.

Of course, that assumes you dont end up being hit for extra money by customs if you buy from NZ (I have no clue if you wold on that or not).

The hard part is finding a way to transfer money to NZ that doesn't suck.

Well I ordered a CC and GG from NZ and didn't pay any duty, just the postage.

You can check with your bank, my credut union will do one of two things. A telegraphic transfer or cheque I believe, however these take 1-2 weeks obv from the time ordered to getting to you or the person you are mailing too.

If you use Paypal, remember to factor in adding 3.4% plus .45 cents so the person getting them for you doesn't end up out of pocket.

It's only 2 weeks until some of the sales here start so why not wait and see what appears on our shelves, you might be surprised and save yourself the stress of ordering a set from overseas that may or may not arrive before they hit our shelves :classic:

Hey guys. Sorry for the double post, but IQ toy's Austrailia has some of the new sets availible for you fella's to order

They have pirates, new city, new SW... just missing new indy

So will you stop complaining now?

Thanks for the tip, but their selection is kind of mixed and a little pricey

That said, I bet the Hoth sets sell out quickly.

I got my Lego Club mag finally today. What was the point of that SW poster? If it was to rub in our faces how inadequate it is compared to the US version for the May the Fourth promo, then yes, it did a good job  That page was in one of the Jan 09 instruction booklets, wasn't it?

Picked up my Endor Bunker today  So keep your eyes open, there here :classic:

Well it looks like people are still prepared to pay inflated prices then

Enjoy my good man.

Our local Toyworld is teh suck, so they may not even get it in....

The Star Wars summer sets are now showing up at S@H with Aussie prices and availability.

It was my birthday present from the Kids :classic:

I won't say what I think of my local Toyworld, but it sucks when you have to drive 40 minutes to another one when there's one 5 minutes away

I got it too. The price does suck, but it's a great completist set; I didn't have Ewoks, Scouts or rebels, I wanted more speeders, and the AT-ST + bunker are quite good.

I'm quite annoyed that I have around six months more waiting for the pirates to turn up here.

Same, I reall dont get why WE have to wait so long when other countries*cough*America*cough* got them 6-8months ago :hmpf_bad:

Although Target or Big W might have them as an exclusive kinda thing like what Big W did with castle in the last 2 years. Because there is less caslte they might do it with Pirates instead?

If Toyworld EVER does a sale on it i'll probable get it, I doubt they'll do a sale though. :hmpf_bad:

Well it could be late November/Early December for pirates... :sceptic: I'm still annoyed the rest of the world will have had them for a year or so once it comes out here in Aus. :hmpf_bad:

Atleast SP3 will be out soon....ish.. :sceptic:

Target's Toy Sale starts July 23, which makes me think most of the Aug-September sets will be around by then.

No Toyworld near me! Boo! I don't like this trend at all! I bet the hike in price for Endor was due to the exclusive deal between TLG and Toyworld. I wonder if that means 7754 Home One will be at a similar price point? I can't see Toys R Us looking at another retailer snap up a popular set which isn't even an exclusive anywhere else, rack up the price, and not get ideas themselves.

I think Target, K-Mart and Big-W will all get some of the September sets "early".

I agree. (If you need any help getting it...) I'm expecting Home One will be priced silly and exclusive to TRU.

I wouldn't worry about not having a toyworld nearby, I have one a five minute walk away, and when the owner isn't standing right outside the front door smoking, he's behind the desk on personal calls. Plus their range of lego is appalling (no star wars sets ever there) and they sell impulse sets for $6.49.

I thought toys r us already did this, well with the Hoth base and HSD they certainly did, although strangely the republic cruiser exclusive was often available at the bargain $120.

Bring on the sales, I want my echo base!
