My local store has loaded the shelves with it again too, so it is time for me to stash a spare. I've been keeping an eye out for any Death Star sets floating around just in case something similar happens, however unlikely.

there were 2 death star sets in the kmart near me. priced at $649 with the 15% discount came up around $550. given the recent str of the AUD, it's still more expensive than if you import directly from the US.

Where are you talking about importing it from? Even the cheapest on Bricklink sealed is $430 US before any freight

Long time lurker, first time poster (thanks for all the sales tips!). Picked up 10195 today at $212 without the damaging security straps at Castle Towers Kmart. Also had 3 or 4 Death Star's at the $650 marked price as well if you didn't layby in July.

Damn I just checked my local KMart yesterday afternoon and it still had the $250 sticker. I knew I should have priced checked it.

I hit one of the local Kmarts up. A guy beat me to the shelf and the store assistant was heading out the back to get his so I asked for one too I can only assume they have a few out back, I noticed three the other day at another Kmart as well.

That's a 68% saving on ordering off S@H, ooohhh baby, though this makes it harder to save for Brickworld now.....

Just couldn't pass up on that kind of deal, now do I need another for rainy days?

Dropped by my local and although it still had a sticker for $250 - it was $144.50. Unbelievable.

I had to get two at that price (now my boys will both have one). This is my favourite LEGO kit, and I think I was especially hyped to get one after watching the small trailer for an upcoming CW episode and you see these in action.

Actually that's not right,if I remember it was 300 during the big July sale, after they put it up to 450, so at 150 it would be 75% off.

Glad to help guys! I thought the $399 was overpriced when it first came out, as did many people. And if K-Mart are happy to put them out at that price, we won't complain!
