Yep, i checked out and the discount was applied - the amount comes off after credit card details but before final confirmation. Indeed it is a little disconcerting cos they leave you wondering when they'll take it off.

If my calculations were correct, vPost would ship the UCS Millenium Falcon for AU$150, bringing the total to about AU$600 including shipping. Then again, if you had the money, you probably would've bought it two years ago.

Also, the website has a very noteworthy Chewbacca T-shirt. It doesn't have anything to do with LEGO. I just had the urge to point it out.

Yes they have some nice t-shirts. I was looking into getting a few, but with a minimum delivery charge of close to $40 I had given them a miss. With that discount you can grab a few + a Tantive IV and they'll all be delivered for the same price.

I thought this would be the case, I saw a stack of them displayed on their lonesome at lunch time today listed as full price which is what they usually do before something is drastically marked down. even at almost $70 I can't be persuaded to grab one. There were still plenty of Home Ones to be had for $150 at Adelaide Toys r Us. It's not really the sort of set that l ends itself to getting multiple copies though.

Toyworld Parafield (SA) has just got it's range of Lego Pirates in, but they don't know where their advents have got to. Besides they are not getting the City advent calendar just the Pirate one.

Frontline Hobbies in Newcastle have quite a few Service Stations for $59.99 ea. They also have a few Market Streets for $139.99 ea.

Imagine If stores (South Australia) have the service station and the 2007 fire station too, both at the 2007 price !!!!

Note - David Jones has a catalogue with toys in it out next week.

Is there an online catalogue for David Jones?

Here you go, DJ's, nothing I could see about Lego, so maybe its up later next week.

An email sent to me by DJ's said next week(this week that starts tomorrow), which could be mid-week or next Saturday it would start. I have been given a contact at DJ's I might give them a call on Monday and simply ask when.

Thanks for the great review! You take very good photos.

There's a copy of this set on sale in a local store and I've been eyeing it off!

How good is the sale there, and is there more than one? I've been barely able to find any here, and the couple I have seen have the most lovable NZ-price I've seen in a while.

My KMart is now stocking the Pirate range, though no Brickbeard's bounty.

The TRU solar sailor 'sounds' good but considering that TRU goods are marked up, that 40% is a lot less appealing when it's closer to 30%, which is around ballpark of a general store sale. And that set isn't one I'm dying to get.

Does anyone know when the Tantive IV is being released here in-store? And if it's a store exclusive?

It's most likely that you'll be waiting until next year for the 10198 to be available in a retail store, this seems to be the pattern with most shop at home exclusives, they're not released widely for at least 6 months after they become available from S@H. Your best bet would have been the sale at starwarsshop.com that ended a few days ago. You could have got it for a little over $200 delivered. Even at full price it'd be cheaper than gettign itr from shop at home. Although if you can wait a few months it'll probably be $250, maybe less at one of the major retailers here.

Not in SA Kmart stores yet !

But Imagine If Burnside - heaps of service stations and fire stations (2007 ones that is).

Kmart this week has the following on sale;

7778 Star Wars Millennium Falcon $ 45.00

7630 City front end loader $13.50

7631 City dump truck $ 20.00

6752 Creator fire rescue $ 59.00

6753 Creator highway transport $ 98.00

6754 Creator home $ 85.00

the elusive DJs online catalogue now reveals most City and Creator sets for about 20% off rrp. As well as the exclusive...

10196 GRAND CAROUSEL $310

All on sale til 24th Dec.

Does anyone know of a DJs around Sydney that has one of these on display??

Good to see stingy DJ having a sale, and that's quite a good price for the carousel considering the parts/cost ratio. However I won't pick it up, I was much more hoping that they would sell the Fire Brigade instead.

I doubt you'll find a built one on display, I've never seen the DJ exclusives being displayed in-store.

still bit expensive in my opinion, myer did a sale long time ago with the eiffel tower and taj mahal and it was a bigger discount..

anyone know where and when we gonna get fire brigade anytime soon?

It's also coming towards the end of the year and Lego has their sales!

I wonder what's going to be on sale this year.

Last year it was (of the ones I remember)

7662 MTT Trade Federation

7994 Harbour

Combine Harvestor

Sandcrawler

General Greivous

Anyone hazard a guess as to this years sales items?

I imagine the Jan 08 Star Wars stuff will be clearanced like the Hailfire Droid, Rogue Shadow etc. The AT-AT is probably due to be clearanced, too. It is possible that the first big wave of Clone Wars stuff from July 08 will go on sale, but it may be too soon.

I would guess that most of the Castle line from 07-08 will be slashed. Agents 1.0 too, probably and anything left over from the City Cargo themes.

For Exclusives, the Town Plan will be 2 years old in January and the Eiffel Tower is an 07 set as well. Actually, I just noticed that Town Plan is showing up as sold out on S@H so it looks like it has reached the natural end of its lifetime.

If the Spongebob license has expired, then that will probably face the axe. Perhaps some Indy as well from the early part of 08.

So many sets! With the 2010 sets not looking that amazing, the sales will be well worth waiting for.

Who doesn't love K-Mart with their mark downs of Lego sets now.

Even though I missed out on the Trolls Mountail, I did pick up x3 Star Wars 10195 AT-OT drop ships at $90 dollars each !!!!!!

Bring on more of the quick turn around sets.

Hopefully the Venator will be next along with other Indy and Star Wars sets

LOL!

I can't believe you stilll managed to find a AT-OT at Kmart. I thought everyone would have bought them out by the time they were selling at $170 or $140!!

Congrats!
