Good to see the new sets are turning up. Welcome to the Aussie thread Kenny. I scoured my local Kmarts and Big W south of Sydney, but no luck on new sets. Kmart hasn't further reduced their mark downs yet either. The price diff vs US almost makes it worth buying whole collections of themes from BL.

As for TRU's prices being the same as S@H, thats because they are the inflated prices. I actually expect Battle packs to still be $20 at normal retailers vs TRU etc.

Hmm, I better get to my Kmart to see if there are any deals there :classic: Grr havent seen the Landspeeder yet, might have to order from S@H :cry_sad:

Toy story, 2010 Star Wars, and some of the brick boxes are turning up in Melbourne stores. All the above have been seen at Northland Target & TRU.

Was out and about last night in the Melbourne heat. At the customer service desk at the 24 hr K-mart Burwood there was one Death Star marked clearance for $475. I can't afford it still, but perhaps someone else can.

OH YEAH (Chef Mundal - Chowder)

SCORE ! (Ben - Ben 10 Alien Force)

Target Newton S.A.

Entire January Releases (except Luke's Landspeeder)

I put the Freeco and Woody's Roundup on Layby and purchased 8083 Rebel BP - COOL !

Prices equal to that of S@H though.

Just visited Target Perth City store. They have the new SW sets and new Toy Story sets. No new City/Town or Space Police or Atlantis sets yet.

Also had some of the small Racers sets, but I didn't bother with those.

Prices:

TOY STORY

7590 $35 (Woody & Buzz to the Rescue racing car)

7591 $40 (Construct-a-Zurg)

7592 $50 (Construct-a-Buzz)

7593 $60 (Buzz's Star Command Spaceship)

7594 $100 (Woody's Roundup)

7595 $23 (Army Men)

STAR WARS

8083 $23 (Rebel Hoth Battlepack)

8084 $23 (Imperial Hoth Battlepack)

8085 $50 (Freeco Speeder)

8086 $50 (Tri-fighter)

8087 $90 (TIE Defender)

8088 $110 (Arc-170)

Prices were all round dollars, i.e. $23 not $22.95, which I found a bit weird.

I also visited the David Jones and Myer stores but they have no no new sets at all.

Looks like Big W is the place to shop so far...

Noodles

Bricks to the world has toy story in stock now too, just ordered myself 3 soldier packs and a buzz and woody to the rescue :)

Prices seem to match those above

I wish they had a pack of those aliens though :(

Just got back from Big W at Macquarie Park (Sydney, NSW). They have most of the Jan 2010 Star Wars and Toy Story sets in. Whats surprising is that the prices is a bit lower than the shop@home price. (about 10% - 15% cheaper!). Here is what I saw - please don't quote me on them as I don't remember the exact prices:

Thanks for the tip - well worth going! Big W Rockdale (Sydney) also has them in.

Just filling in the blanks for the Big W prices for the Toy Story series:

4270338515_e31a983155_o.jpg

7595 Army Men $22.95 RRP, Big W = $19.76

7590 Woody & Buzz to the Rescue racing car $34.95 RRP, Big W = $29.67

7592 Construct-a-Buzz $49.95 RRP, Big W = $44.67

7593 Buzz's Star Command Spaceship $59.95 RRP, Big W = $54.66

7594 Woody's Roundup $99.95 RRP, Big W = $88.76

Didn't see Construct-a-Zurg at Rockdale.

Cant wait for the sales to come in!

Easter sale??

Has anyone seen the new line up of City Fire come through to any of the chains yet? I can't wait to get a hold of some of those sets!!!!

From the catalogue and what lightningtiger says, not until later in the year (post June).

bttw has some fire sets, but all marked up heftily which would tend to suggest this is true.

Hi Folks !

Looks like Target and TRU got the special treatment - except Luke's Landspeeder - Modbury & Gepps Cross TRU's don't have that one.

It's interesting that Target & TRU charge about the same amounts for everything - odd ?

Pick up the Imp. Snowtropper pack tonight - quick build but a handy one in Hoth.

I'm still trying to pull information from my various locations - the only thing today I found out will be posted in City 2010 page.

I'm a conformist! !

Thanks for the tip - well worth going! Big W Rockdale (Sydney) also has them in.

No worries, at those prices I'm buying my Toy Story and Star Wars sets at Big W now rather than to wait for a Kmart/Target sale off the RRP.

As a side question - do you remember if you saw Agents 8967 Gold Tooths Getaway at Rockdale Big W? I'm trying to find this set but every store I've been to have sold out of them.

Any technic sets yet?

I want the 8041 and waiting for a retail shop like Kmart to have it. Got a few vouchers to use. :)

Sorry to tell you 'Doodz' but Kmart maybe still waiting a while for new stock - in fact I have spoken to at least five workers at various Kmarts - they are all dying to get fresh stocks - Hmm race truck eh, I might make a call tomorrow (if I remember haha  I do forget things - must be my 41 year old brain).

I got the snow trooper BP today and it's awesome, pricey...but good.

Was in K-Mart Booragoon today and they had the following:

5899 House Building Set

Rebel battle pack

Snowtrooper battle pack

Freeco speeder

Droid Tri-Fighter

TIE Defender

ARC-170 Starfighter

plus the 4 small Tiny Turbos sets (numbers 8192,8193,8194,8195)

No Toy Story or City though

I was also in Toyworld Fremantle and they had no new stock at all. They DID however have a few copies of the previous fire station (just the station, no other sets that I saw). And they arent the only Toyworld that has stock. My guess is that this is why Lego Australia are delaying the Fire product until the middle of the year, namely that there is still stock of previous fire product out there.

No sign of any new product at all in either of the 2 MYER stores I was in today.

Brisbane Target CBD has the Toy Story sets in stock now too, picked up build a buzz this morning, prices seem to match shop@home and BTTW

I think someone has cleared them out of army men sets already though as there was only 6 left and a big empty shelf next to them, they had tons of buzz and woody to the rescue sets though, a fair few build a buzz's, a couple of zergs and I could only see one western playset

LOL sounds like some of you guys got screwed, I got both Hoth BP today both the same price of $18.67c from BigW in Calamvale, Brisbane

Ahh my Kmart is crap :cry_sad: No new 2010 sets yet, they only had a TONNE of Midi Falcons (hehe might go on discount soon :classic:) and the 09 BPs

Went to Myers SYD CBD and all the shelves with lego were empty!! I guess getting ready for new stock

Also DJ's at CBD had like 5 technic sets the rest was empty!

MYER Perth CBD still had a fair bit of stock but Garden City had mostly empty shelves.

For those in Adelaide...

K-Mart at Tea Tre Plaza had one copy of 10188 Death Star on sale for $475 (it was sitting at their front desk).

Wow it's still there.....it has a red sign on it.....that means someone can still layby it (oops should not have told you that....but you have to put 50 bucks down as a deposit.
