Cartoon Network Australia are now running the new Lego City Airport advert and they have added a Q&A game to their website with the entire airport range as first prize (minus traveller of course). Here's the link..........Cartoon Network Lego City Airport Quiz

Since the ad has just started running I believe that finally all stores should be receiving their Feburary stocks. Some Toyworlds now have the city airport range too now !

Not sure if anyone is interested but I noticed a Taj Mahal set at Myer, Marion (SA) today - I seem to remember someone being disappointed they'd missed out recently. I didn't get a chance to check the price, but it looked like it might have been on some kind of clearance pile. If you're interested I'd ring first before taking my word for it though! :tongue:

Oh no your kidding, the ISP is a Totally Rip-you Off exclusive, damn it why do TLG insist on giving those rip off artists exclusives.

TLG continues to give exclusives to all kinds of stores because those stores are willing to pay to have an exclusive. Or in some cases a store takes a product because they are the only ones that are interested in the sets (I doubt the latter is the case with Star Wars though)

I picked up the train set 7897 yesterday at Myers for $119. thought it was a pretty good deal considering a new set cost USD$168 on bricklink

Really I don't remember Myers having those for over a year now, they had the 7898 cargo train as an exclusive.

yeah it was the very very last one. and I also score the Old fire station 7945 for $80 at Sydney's Hobbyco. Looks better than the upcoming fire station.

That's very lucky. Which Myers did you goto? CBD? Last I went there (Last thursday) the had zero lego sets.

Also one in Myer at Miranda, Sydney. Priced at $499.

To get it discounted, there was a coupon set emailed to Myer One members in the past day or so which included a "20% off toys" one.

Showing this coupon and the Myer One card would reduce the retail prices of their Lego sets by 20%.

Yeah I went to the Myers in CBD on Sunday, I guess I got lucky.The price tag sticker on the train set was $149.95 so I tried to hustle the cashier by telling him that I saw the train set at Hobbyco for $139. And he said, not a problem coz they've got it marked down for $119. They had soooo many of the Airport sets. lol..overstocked.

TRU have a new catalogue out tomorrow with city airport sets and the swamp speeder in it - but I checked with a TRU store tonight and they haven't got any and might not see any more Lego till the end of the month - odd eh ?

I think you will find Myer were clearing out old sets that were left behind from last years layby's. I picked up an Eiffel Tower from a Myer yesterday, thankfully the guy was nice enough to tell me about the special they were going to have today for Myer One customers. I'm not a member, but he accepted the girlfriends Card Number and still did the discount a day early, what a champ. I was 3 hours from home, so wasn't going to drive that distance another day just for the discount. He told me they had a Taj Mahal and another set which sold recently, all were layby's that were never picked up.

TRU is offering a free Lego case for $50+ purchases... I'll pick up the Swamp Speeder to get this probably.

I bet it's priced at $49.99 so you have to buy something extra to get the freebie :laugh:

Overstocked Airport sets at Myer sounds like a $99 special offer sale in the next few weeks to me :wink:

Is anything due in March? Or is the next wave all April stuff (Atlantis, Power Miners, Farm set etc)?

The new fire product is not due for release in Australia until later in the year.

If you want it now, you can order from Shop @ Home, order from www.bttw.com.au (which has it in stock, likely bought from overseas) or find someone in New Zealand who can get one for you.

There seems to have been a lot of bttw spruiking in this thread lately, what's up with that?

IMO the LEGO City Suitcase looks like a cheap plastic document folder. I don't particularly think it's worth getting, yet I would be interested to see a review of it :classic: . I like LEGO gear reviews :thumbup:
