YG-49, which Myer is that? I love it when LEGO sets up displays, but they don't do it often now here.
oh wow! which myers was it at that had the town plan on display??

Sunshine Plaza...

The LEGO Rep said PoP would come out next month, but only be around for 2 or so months, because they wanted it to coincide with the movie.

4 left at Bankstown TRU, 2 left at Hurstville TRU. Just coincidence I was at both places today. Now the kicker is "MOST" TRU are closed on Sunday. so that coupon for a 2 day sale is slightly misleading. Come monday I suppose you guys that missed out could try and reason with management to get the 20% off the Fire brigade, reason being they weren't open on Sunday. worth a try for a $50 saving.

Funny that TRU got the fire brigade, all along. I actually asked the Lego rep there (he was there for make a lego bunny) and he said it was exclusive to TRU. Also Grand Emporium is due out July and will be at D.J. exclusively. He couldn't recall Imperial flagship unfortunately.

Fire Brigade. My nearest TRU in Victoria, they haven't got it in yet :cry_sad:

The girl was nice enough to check for me and said it's coming soon but they're only getting no more than 4 or 5 and no you can't pre-order.

I think I will summon all the willpower I have left and wait out for the Grand Emporium, now if that's being sold for this price at TRU, I'll be camping out there!

Is it confirmed that Grand Emporium is a DJ's exclusive for later in the year?

Sorry just read guy montag's post, okay, I'm haunting DJ in July then!

Prince of Persia only out for two months? That's no good!

Thanks and Happy Easter to everyone!

Has anyone posted yet that in Myer most LEGO items have had chunks of the price taken away? And that if you spend over $50 you recieve a free LEGO rabbit set, which on the LEGO website is $11? I purchased two of the Apple Tree House sets in different transactions (They were $55 each, better than the usual $80) and ended up with two rabbits. The pieces are great for all sorts of MOCs, like forts, and forts, and, well, forts.

This news was posted a few pages back - this thread tends to fill pretty quick. It was also stated that Myer One cardholders will get an extra 10% off (till Monday). I'm going to try for this tomorrow - last time I was at Myer they only let me have one sale or the other, not both. See what happens this time.

I managed to get both the other day, still want to go back to get more apple tree houses. They are great IMO.

The 10% was ok for Apple tree house + petrol tanker at 1 myer and an airport at another Myer. All these sets had the "not to be used in conjunction with any other offer on the sign" so I thought I might of had a similar issue. But both Myer were fine about it.

BTW 1 Apple is $54.95 less 10% gives a total of $49.46, you may not get the bunny.. i suppose it depends on how nice they are. Good luck.

Well it's been an eventful day. I decided that I do really want the Apple Tree House from Myer after all so I rang my closest Myer - which is Myer Highpoint - when they opened this morning. The girl at the toy department was really nice and said she'll put one aside for me with my name on it. Anyway, I had to run lots of errands and got to Myer Highpoint after lunch. I went to the counter and the girl remembered me from the phone call but when she looked behind the counter, she said that the Apple Tree House was gone. She thought maybe someone put it away and went to check in the back. I wandered around to check on the shelf but there was none left. I then saw this guy walking around with the Apple Tree House. He was taking off this white paper taped to the box and then he walked to a counter in another section to pay for it. The girl got back and said she couldn't find it which was strange because she taped a sheet with my name on it (hmmmmm.....interesting!).

The manager came over and even went down to check at the docking area for me. Eventually he rang around and said there was one left in Chadstone and he can get them to post it to me without charge!:wub:

So I'm going to be getting the Apple Tree House in about a week plus got the 10% discount (so it's around $50) and they gave me the bunny to take home today.

Myer Highpoint gets top marks for me for their awesome customer service :thumbup:

But to whoever took the Apple Tree House, how rude!

I agree, that's terrible! He should know it was reserved, so it wouldn't have been impolite to ask him about it. I just hope he's not an AFOL.

Odd, I always thought items on hold were generally put to one side, like behind the counter.

At least Myer were willing to help you, 'chibi_joker'...........I'm a conformist! ! :sweet:

NEWS FLASH !

Target from 8th April - 20% OFF LEGO !!!

I'm a conformist! everyone ! :sweet:

Thanks Lightning Tiger. Always appreciate your Aussie Lego updates.

A question for everyone. I can't remember if Target ever does clearance Lego, like Kmart. Usually their 20%, is off RRP and with the other big chains discounting so havily early this year, it won't feel like much saving. Has anyone ever seen Lego discounted and then reduced again with a 20% off at Target.

I don't normally buy Target unless its exclusive or stock is non existant anywhere else.

That's okay 'guy montag' always glad to help other AFOL's. :sweet:

Some Target stores do have older sets and sometimes they have a reduced sticker on them - sadly you have to hunt through many Targets to find these reduced or old sets. Here in S.A. the Hollywood Plaza Target for some reason has a hard time selling Star Wars Lego.

The Adventures of Clutch Powers is now $10 in K-Mart. Does this mean it sold bad? :cry_sad:

I thought it was selling well, I saw a couple empty promo boxes that once contained the dvds on the shelves of Target stores. It's a pretty enjoyable watch, makes a great gift for friends' kids too I have discovered.

Of note is that this gives us rough prices for the train products (the fire products are already on Shop @ Home so we get prices from there)

I do hope that someone gets the fire sets as part of the mid-year sales, I want the helicopter and the station.
