Clone-Trooper Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Does that mean 45% off lego??? Usually at Toys'R'Us that certainly doesn't mean 45% off, as the promotion states "Full Priced Items", but that certainly doesn't mean I won't be trying my luck tomorrow !!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you don't try....... you don't get, and if they won't accept the deal then I'll leave the Lego sets there and walk away.......
DarthSion Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Oh yeah of course they wouldn't do it on their over priced star wars sets no that would be kind.
jonwil Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 20% off is still a good price if there are any sets (especially any TRU exclusive sets or sets where TRU is the only one with stock) that you want. Now if any of the TRUs in this state had stock of the yellow racers Lamborghini, I would be there first thing tomorrow :) (RRP is too much for this set but 20% off would be GREAT)
guy montag Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 (edited) the 20% off is useful if you missed your chance on the Firebrigade being $250. get it now for $240. Also I think the Airport was $109 so perhaps its $88 now. worth a try. Airport was $149 rrp when I went yesterday. I would like to apologise if anyone went to TRU for a cheaper airport. I should have realised TRU would bring the price up again before they had a spend $100 20% off storewide sale. Edited April 26, 2010 by guy montag

Yep, TRU usually charges R.R.P. or even a little more sometimes - but don't forget to check to see what else they might have on clearance. I'm a conformist! !
Hewman Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 For those after some Prince of Persia figs or parts (like that medium dark nougat flesh or whatever it's called) there's a relatively new seller on bricklink that I've bought a few times off and he's been fantastic, and he's also offering free domestic shipping for orders $50+ Anyway, you can check him out here Barker's Brick Store
Strand Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 For those after some Prince of Persia figs or parts (like that medium dark nougat flesh or whatever it's called) I think I just found my new favourite Middle Easternet petname.
alepto Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 g'day, traveler and atlantis impulse sets @ Big W, at the QV (Victoria). $4.88 though not on there system so you might have to wait for a price check:) Much better than $6.XX at a toyworld i saw last week. Oh yeah, the traveler is amazing..... the carts are already in the train station and airport (and high street!!!!).... the screens are already in bus stops and airports... The dude even has a pink t-shirt... So more-ish. PS they also restocked chef, cop, space police and pirate impulse sets.
jonwil Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Has anyone seen the 5867 red Creator sports car for sale or know of an AU release date? None of the places I hit today (a MYER, a Target and 2 Toyworlds) had it. Catalog only shows the green one from last year.
Whup Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Hi guys, Just been into the city for some late-night shopping in Adelaide. The Toys R Us has the new Impulse sets (airport dude and Atlantis ones) - got a couple at $5 a pop. The Toy World in the Myer Centre had a few of last years construction sets (the big bulldozer, crane) for a bit under normal price, but they also had a big pile of the Star Wars tank droids (#7748) for $25 each.

jonwil Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Do we have a confirmed release date for the collectible minifigs? There have been all kinds of rumors about different stores getting them (Toyworld, TRU, MYER) and different dates but do we have anything confirmed or is it still rumors at this time? Do we have any news on the price of these things yet?
MinifigHQ Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Do we have a confirmed release date for the collectible minifigs? There have been all kinds of rumors about different stores getting them (Toyworld, TRU, MYER) and different dates but do we have anything confirmed or is it still rumors at this time? Do we have any news on the price of these things yet? It is confirmed Toyworld is getting them this month if they have ordered them(Midland and Fremantle have orders in) The other retailers are where the confusion is but this should clear up once they hit the shelves. $3.99 at Toyworld.
jonwil Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Thats great if they are appearing this month, it means I can get some (I especially want all the skateboarders I can get my hands on as well as a magician and maybe others) in time to use them on the next club train layout (over the June long weekend)
emilyjem Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Brad from Bricks To The World told me they would have the new Minifigures "mid-May" - no word on price though. I can't wait. Dunno if anyone else has posted this but spotted 7754: Home One™ Mon Calamari Star Cruiser™ in TRU Hurstville yesterday for $150 yesterday which seemed pretty cheap to me! Cheers Emily (new Sydney AFOL) Oops, reading back I see that the Home One is old news... ahem... so, how about those Minifigures?

Svelte Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 I like that LEGO S@H is finally doing some free shipping offers for us Aussies I wonder if sales are down this year? The start of year range was sort of lacklustre.
jonwil Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 If it wasnt for the news of the Grand Emporium hitting retail later in the year, I would put in a Shop @ Home order to get one...
Hewman Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 (edited) I'd think about getting some of the PoP sets but given how long shop at home takes to deliver, the sets will be in stores here by then and cheaper too. But it is good to see free shipping for once. If anyone was considering getting the Medieval Market Village I'd suggest now is a great time to do so. Edit: Home One on special for about $125 and a few other star wars bits and pieces reduced as well. Edited May 3, 2010 by hewman
Whittleberry Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 (edited) T&C's - ...icies/shipping_and_handling. Offer valid only in the United States and Canada. Promotion begins... Shame, I probably would have placed an order for a Home One... Edited May 3, 2010 by Whittleberry
Siegfried Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 Shame, I probably would have placed an order for a Home One... Maybe it is valid; I just tested it with a fake order of Home One to Australia;
emilyjem Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 It definitely is valid, I placed an order today and got the free shipping to Australia. You do have to spend over $90 AUD though. Also got the Star Wars stickers even though I didn't buy any Star Wars items? Odd.
