Siegfried Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 It definitely is valid, I placed an order today and got the free shipping to Australia. You do have to spend over $90 AUD though. Also got the Star Wars stickers even though I didn't buy any Star Wars items? Odd. Ditto. I added the bunny and I got the stickers! (I added Home One later though.) I'm getting the new Space Police sets at last!
WetWired Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 (edited) Anyone know of anywhere in Brisbane that has the Fire Brigade in stock? or is it not out in stores yet? Edit> I just noticed your posts about the current deal of free postage on lego.com, what is their usual rate for postage? as their website shipping and handling page says anything over $90 is free, or is that updated because of this deal? If I could get an answer quickly too as I might have to make my order very soon if that's the case :) Edited May 3, 2010 by WetWired

If I could get an answer quickly too as I might have to make my order very soon if that's the case :) I can't help you with the Fire Brigade (other than being 99% sure I've seen them at ToysRUs), but Lego shipping starts at about $25 and goes up in about $5 increments as the size of the order increases. I don't remember exact figures, but its something like $40 S+H for $200 worth of Lego. I'm pretty sure the S+H fee is capped at about $45 or so though as well... Off the top of my head, I'd guess you'd be up for the best part of fifty bucks to have the fire brigade posted by Lego. Hope that helps.
Svelte Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 bttw.com.au now has PoP sets in stock His $5 shipping is pretty good, but it also means they should be in regular stores soon.
lightningtiger Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 The Fire Brigade IS available at Toys R Us. Yep, $299.00 though.......saw a few at the new Gepps Cross TRU/BRU store a week ago. I'm a conformist! everyone !
emilyjem Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 Big W says on their site that they have LEGO Space Police Galactic Enforcer 5974 for $117 in store - anyone seen this? I love that beast...
Siegfried Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 Big W says on their site that they have LEGO Space Police Galactic Enforcer 5974 for $117 in store - anyone seen this? I love that beast... Yes, my local store has it for around that price.
Hewman Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 To all those with a David Jones credit card, either store one or American Express there is 25% off lego. In Adelaide at least I didn't see anything new although may be a way to get some slightly older sets at a discount.
MinifigHQ Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 My local Toyworld (Midland W.A) has the Prince of Persia sets on the shelf, arrived today.
YG-49 Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 My local Toyworld (Midland W.A) has the Prince of Persia sets on the shelf, arrived today. And you had to report this AFTER the shops closed?
Siegfried Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 And you had to report this AFTER the shops closed? ...and after I ordered one from S@H!
MinifigHQ Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 Sorry guys but shops are still open over here in the west I was hoping that the minifigs were going to show up today, so I was a little disappointed to see the Prince of Persia sets.
lightningtiger Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 You are upset that PoP is in, gee wiz ! Actually South Australian Toyworld's at the moment have the Kmart January problem - NO new stock, if fact many are running out of Lego, but I make some calls to find out a few things in the next few days. Anyway has anyone seen the Tractor/Pig Farm set in BigW, yet - they are having that as an exclusive ? I'm a conformist! !
jonwil Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 (edited) Spotted all the POP sets in the K-Mart in Carousel. May be a better option than Toyworld to get them. No sign of anything else new (no Minifigures and no Pig Farm seen in the west yet) BTW if you want the Wind Turbine Transport and havent picked it up yet, get one ASAP (assuming there is a BIG W in your area that still has stock), its still at the lower price from earlier in the year (or was last week when I bought one from the last BIG W in perth with stock left) Edited May 4, 2010 by jonwil
lightningtiger Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 Thanks 'jonwil' for the heads up on PoP at Kmart, I'll start checking local ones later in the week. Anyway, on the 7th check Toyworld.com.au to see the next catalogue starting the 10th, maybe PoP will be in there too eh ? I'm a conformist! !
DB24 Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 Went into Target in Greensborough on monday, they've got heaps of PoP sets if anyones interested. Didn't check specifics as i'm not really interested.
Whup Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 Does anyone know whether the free shipping thing applies to non-Star Wars sets? I'd love an Imperial Flagship, and if they aren't expected to turn up in stores today's probably my best bet. Can someone please buy my ISD so that the missus doesn't kill me before the Flagship would arrive?

Why is it that South Australia are the flaming last to get anything......W.A. gets stuff, Victoria gets stuff......next State-of-Origin will be pay back ! Ah, well......I'm a conformist! !

Did think about the flagship myself but I'll wait for mid year sales incase it comes on sale as a Store Exclusive

Stop offering it here, you're tempting me

I'll be really disappointed if I miss out though - never had a pirate ship as a kid and always swore I'd buy any decent new ones that came out. The Imperial Flagship looks very decent! All sets, available until midnight GMT I believe. You didn't ebay the ISD? Stop offering it here, you're tempting me No, I had a really good read through all the advice you guys gave me, and I decided eBay sounded like a bit of hassle. My wife and I have a baby due in a few weeks - I figured if I ever found someone to buy it great, but if not my 5yo will get a pretty cool Christmas present one year... You're still welcome to make an offer though of course.
wesker Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 Good to hear the PoP sets are out. Now all we need is a sale. Anyone remember the last time Kmart had a 15-20% off all lego?

I think it was a fair while ago - I guess the next big sales will be the mid year ones. From what I've seen the Kmart prices have been pretty good anyway (a fair bit under RRP on the stuff I've paid attention to), so getting an additional 20% would make things relatively cheap.
