I've only ever made one S@H order, but it took a few days longer than the 18 business days suggested. Maybe it was busy at Christmas time or something?

I'm sure the others will be able to give you a better average time, but it could be as long as a month from my experience.

Does anyone have a release date for the 5867 Super Speedster in Australia or know where I can get one? Or an Australian RRP for it?

It's available at shop at home for $40. Can't say I've noticed it at any retailers though.

I bought a couple of sets off S@H during the May 4 sale and i was just wondering how long it will take for delivery? I know it says upto 18 days but i was just wondering what others have experianced in terms of delivery times from there.

Expect at least two weeks from my experience. The worst was just over three weeks for me.

There was one PoP set at my local K-Mart; The Ostrich Race 7570. As it turns out I ordered that set from S@H. (I might get another later.) But the reason why I'm posting is to say that it was $32; $2 above list. Are they doing this with all sets? This could just be a pre-sale strategy, but be aware that for now the prices could be inflated. :sceptic:

What! That's horrible news. It's bad enough when TRU does it. I have noticed K-Mart has done this in the past with exclusives, like some of the Power Miners/ SP3 sets.

OK. So it seems my local store puts items on sale prior to other stores and doesn't make them as such. That makes no sense at all... but it does seem to be the case.

Odd.

Siegfried guilt factor: 80% and rising.

I wouldn't be having a guilt factor at all, after seeing your post I found 1 Kmart that "had" the item on clearance here in W.A. the clearance tickets were still on the shelf. All "clearance" items are done from head office unless the items are damaged or one off's. This isn't the case here though, not sure why the Price on the ones lightningtiger found were still at the higher price, perhaps the Toy manager has to action the price change.

As long as though they are still in the system and on clearance the price should go down until they are all gone.

Here's a tip for everyone, Kmart has a customer service number, just give them the set number and they should be able to help.

Anyone annoyed at the prices K-Mart has for POP, vote with your feet and buy from Toyworld or Target or anyone selling it cheaper.

You should never need to pay more than RRP for a set that's available at retail with the possible exception of store exclusives (like all those "only at TRU" sets)

I'll be waiting for prices to drop for sure. K-mart in recent times have been doing strange things with the regular prices of their lego with different sets going up and down in price while not on sale. However, it has never been at a price above RRP*, which for a retailer with their buying power is just greed.

One theory (sometimes I like to be optimistic/naive) is that they've deliberately over-priced them as they want them to stay on the shelves until they have a sale (planned for soon) and they don't want disappointed customers seeing empty shelves... It's just a theory and not a very likely one I admit.

*Excluding exclusives

Man, this is odd Kmart dearer than TRU - WTF ?

I smell a % off sale at Kmart shortly - a price hike means they don't lose as much money - cheeky aren't they eh ?

I have it good knowledge that Lego Games will be available in August from at least Toyworld.

So since the city fire range is not out yet, maybe someone i.e. Kmart get them first like a stack of city gear 3 months before anyone else ?

Yeah next month is June, isnt that why kmart bigw and target have a big toy sale.

Last year Target had their big sale mid to late July, but I'm pretty sure K-mart and Big W run theirs earlier, so we could be expecting (hoping for) hefty discounts at K-mart in a few weeks.

Could be, a couple years ago K-mart had the coast guard sets before everyone else.

K-Mart comming out with the City Fire product in the mid-year sales would be GREAT (especially if I can pick up the station and the helicopter on the cheap)

I suspect K-Mart will also get the Rebel Blockade Runner as an exclusive. (given that they seem to get all of the "exclusive" starwars sets and had both the Death Star and AT-OT last year along with the UCS falcon a few years back)

MYER or possibly David Jones is likely to pick up the Imperial Flagship (DJs is getting the Grand Emporium later so MYER seems a better fit for the Flagship)

If the Winter Toy Shop comes down under, I can forsee maybe DJs getting it.

Based on previous years, the Star Wars stuff will likely be spread evenly around the retailers with different stores getting exclusives.

Kingdoms to me seems like it will come out in one store first (Target maybe like Pirates last year) and then appear in other stores later on.

I dropped in to Kmart Garden City/Booragoon last night. They only had PoP Fight for the Dagger ($49) & Desert Attack ($18 or $19).

No Ostrich Race or the 2 big ones.

Such a shame on the prices as Kmart had been doing so well this year, pretty much Big W prices.

Myer had no PoP sets.

Ah you mean board games right, not lego star wars the clone wars console game?.

The first not the latter, two Toyworlds confirmed Lego board games around August.

I just got a great PoP score.

Went to catch up with a mate at lunch time, he needed to pay his David Jones bill, so we went past the toys and they had all the PoP sets in, and there was 25% off Lego for DJ's credit card holders which thankfully my mate is one of, so I got the Alamut set for $105, the market one for $37.50 and the small one for whatever 75% of RRP is for the small set. I resisted the urge to get the other two sets, although the ostriches are great there isn't much else to that set as far as I can tell.

Sure beats K-mart!

Oh, this was in Adelaide, so I assume other DJs have them in.

Firstly apologies for the double post but I just have to share this ebay find with those from Adelaide

There's a giant cardboard Jango Fett Lego display at what is probably a great price for the right buyer. I'd buy it myself but my cats would rip it to shreds

Jango shop display

Edit: He doesn't allow local pick up, what's up with that, there's no way I'd allow that to go through the post.

Lucky your friend got the DJ credit card to get that great saving hewman :classic:

Thanks to everyone for the update on the prices, I didn't even bother going to Kmart and went straight to my local Target. Could not resist and got the Ostrich Race....yes I got suck in by the ostriches! I'll patiently wait to see what the prices will be for the other sets in the coming weeks. Battle of Alamut is just so beautiful and I've been amazed by all the MOCs that came out of rebuilding the parts so far. The one I least like is the Quest Against Time...but even saying that, who knows what happen when it's sale time

I wonder which other chains also now have PoP.

The PoP sets are available at most stores other than Toys 'R' Us, I went out on thursday night and bought both the fight for the dagger and the hassassin's hideout at Kmart for $68, but if I had gone to Target, I would have spent $2 less, which, with the minifigure sets coming out soon, makes all the difference.

(anyone know where to get the minifigure sets early? I see that quite a few people have them, mostly on flikr, Eurobricks, etc.)

The minifig sets seem to be available at stores in Europe. Best bet to get them in Australia is to talk to the people at your local Toyworld(s) and see if/when they are getting them in.

Just got back from K-Mart. Mine has everything and from memory;

7569 Desert Attack $19 (RRP 17.99)

7570 The Ostrich Race $32 (RRP 29.99)

7571 The Fight for the Dagger $49 (RRP 49.99)

7572 Quest Against Time $79 (RRP 79.99) I'm not 100% on this one.

7573 Battle of Alamut $130 (RRP 139.99)

So yeah... odd. Some up some down, but overall it's OK.
