I'd probably be interested in getting a small share of a box (say, $50 worth), but I don't think I'd get away with spending hundreds.

On a side note that might be of interest to fellow Adelaidian's, there appears to be a Lego speciality shop going up in a little group of shops opposite Wirreanda High School. I doubt very much that it's official since it isn't a flash shopping centre or anything, but the windows are covered in brown paper and there are a lot of Lego logos. There appeared to be 'under construction' signs featuring a picture of a minifig as well. Very exciting!

Awesome i live literally a minute from there. I even went to Wirreanda HS lol. Ill have to check it out.

I'd be happy to chip in too. There must be some other deal for the Minifigures in Sydney though, surely, as there are no Toyworlds that I know of. Also bttw.com.au did tell me they would have them mid-May. I guess time will tell!

Also just to confirm that Big W have 7744 Police Headquarters for $88 and it's available for online ordering too - 7744 at Big W.

Big W have some good Toy Story prices in their latest catalogue too, including 7594 Woody's Roundup for $75.

Cheers!

So BigW will be cheaper for Woody's Roundup than Target's 20% off.

But no TS3 sets, odd other toy brands have their products out except Lego.......sounds like I need to make another phone call.

I'm tempted to buy a whole box of the minifigs as well...but I'm a bit torn

on one hand I'd be happy to just have the full set, one of each minifig, on the other I could easily handle having multiples of some of them, like the robots, ninjas and zombies :/

Any word on pricing of an entire box? Set? or individual minifigs?

Spoke to someone at Toyworld Fremantle today. They said they are definatly getting the collectible minifigs in but they dont have a date. They said that they are in the process of expanding (into the former sign shop next door) and when its done they will be getting more LEGO in but they likely wont be getting any before then.

The person I spoke to at Subiaco Toyworld basically said "Yes we will be getting some in at some point but I dont know if the boss has placed an order for some yet or when they will arrive"

So it looks like the best answer is to keep checking your local Toyworld as the month drags on.

Okay, everyone I have some information on the MINIFIG bags........... available next month and only at TOYWORLD stores.....they have the first series as an exclusive !

Goodie, I have about 50 bucks credit at one - me go shopping for cheerleader !

Thank you for the update lightningtiger! Geeze, I can't believe it's going to be available only from Toyworld, there's none near my house :cry_sad::cry_sad:

Sigh........

Oh well, in better news, I'm glad to hear about the Target sale! Got to get me some PoP sets!

Well I received 2 emails today, one from Fremantle Toyworld with a date, so your obviously not speaking to the right person.

I received an email today from Lego Australia and it does not say they are Toyworld exclusives at all. And if they were would independent stores be able to stock them? Apparently they are at retail, but I cant confirm this as I haven't seen any. (Lego has a customer service number in Australia for anyone wanting to call and ask themselves)

Mid year toysales also kickoff 1st of July.

Mind sharing that date with the rest of us? :)

The Melbourne LUG (MUGS) has a bulk order in. We were charged AUD$3.99 per fig, no bulk discount, which is the RRP. The box contains 60 figs, so the box price comes to $239.40. We ordered through Toyworld. Toyworld sometimes allows independant toy shops to order through them as well, so some small shops may get these as well, but there are no certainties.

A snippet from the email says "Stock will arrive week commencing 24th May I am told by my suppliers" but according to Lego Australia they are at retail already but I haven't seen them yet, and neither has anyone here. :classic:

Yeah, Lego Australia already told me a month ago they were shipped out in March, what a load of you-know-what eh ?

25th of May sounds like a week before they go sale - so I have been told by more than one Toyworld is the usual shipping arrangements for any promotion be that Lego or what ever ?

No POP's at Target, bullcreek :(

Has anyone seen these in WA besides at toyworld?

The prices at Target are crazy. Big W has the same prices that Target will haveAFTER their 20% discount tomorrow..

Posted (edited)

Try Cannington K-Mart, they had stock last I looked (or at least I think so)

As did various MYER stores.

No sign of it at any of the Targets I have been into yet.

Midland Kmart and Target have PoP, neither had 7570.

I've noticed that at the back of every Kmart catalog there's a price promise guarantee ("if you find a cheaper price we'll match it").

Has anyone tried to use this at Kmart to price match the Target Lego prices during a 20% sale period?

Good thought! I might do it at David Jones, they seem to do it pretty easily there, plus they have 25% off for DJ credit card holders so they would probably do it in a second.

Pretty sure Myer do price match as well. My missus does it all the time there cause she gets all these extra vouchers when she buys with her Myer card.

Another handy trick to know if you tend to get Lego as presents is that Target will exchange an item without a receipt as long as they stock that item. I got $250 worth of Bionicle stuff I couldn't use last birthday. Took it all to target, got a store credit and walked out with an armfull of town and technics sets.

G'day everyone ! :sweet:

I have done somemore hunting.......

LegoCity house 8403 will be August - TOYWORLD - approx $70.

Luke's Landspeeder around 50-60 dollars - July @ Big W only.

Cad Bane's Speeder about 90 bucks - Target only - I think August too.

See I'm handy to have around eh ?

Wow I cant believe you think this is a handy trick, from your post it appears as though the Lego you took back to Target for exchange wasn't even purchased at Target.

I would advise that unless the Lego was purchased at Target, that you don't return it to Target as this would be fraud! Obviously this would be the same for all retailers. There is a reason why they record your personal details when you refund without a receipt and don't think it goes in the bin.

Hey Guys,

Toys R Us has 25% off for 4 days starting today 13MAY to 16MAY !!!!

Good time for the exlusive sets, even perhaps a Fire Brigade?

If only they had the Tantive IV set !!!!

Posted

Thanks for the info 'Clone-Trooper' - now which is better Target 20% or TRU 25% - all depends on their normal selling prices eh ?

By the way just notice some price reductions at Kmart - the latest Tie fighter is now only $67 ( NOT on clearance though), plus some TS stuff down as well. They must be getting ready for TS3 because Woody's Round-up has AL on it's shelf label which means no new fresh stock - heading towards Kmart's favorite hobby 'CLEARANCE' !

at 25% off it'd only be $225 :(

This is a little off topic, but just noticed that LEGO Australia is advertising for a "Order Specialist - Supply Chain and Logistics" in Sydney on seek.com.au.

If only I had the least idea how to do whatever that is, I would apply, but alas no! Thought maybe someone else might be interested. A great way to get your hands on sets early! Wow.

I could be wrong Melike, but I think Endor was a Toyworld exclusive. I certainly haven't seen them anywhere but Toyworld either.
