Hewman Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 (edited) I've just been to Target TTP (SA) tonight and they did have about 30 or so collectible minifigs there. I got the last nurse (a gift for a mate's daughter) but besides that there was every other fig except the cheerleader, there were even two zombies. Also at TTP Toys 'r' us they had the long discontinued squidman's pitstop ($70), the largest speed racer set (apparently reduced from $140 to $99). And for Star Wars fans I discovered 2 copies of the rare 8091 swamp speeder ($50 or was it $59.99) put in a strange spot and out of view. If you want to know where they are, send me a PM. I may be heading out tonight, and it would be great to know if any places like Karrinyup have them yet. You will need to try Target to find them. Inaloo or Morley or somewhere like that. They believed they should get the rest of them in soon. Grabbed the outpost --- it really looks sweet. Also (excuse me if its been said before) the police station at bigw seems to have a new price of $88(mistake or clearance?) - all other places and well over $100.

Also the police station's new normal price at both Kmart and BigW appears to be around the 88 buck mark - but I feel it's comming to an end for this set - sadly as it's the best police station ever and it was the one that got me back into the madness ! The TIE Interceptor and Toy Story sets that were marked down and on clearance (yellow tickets) have reverted back to their old prices !!!!!!! Gone are the days of K-Mart clearances.........

I'm a conformist! everyone ! Yep, the police set is around $88 at Big W. I bought it the other night as I saw that there were only 3 sets at my local Big W and there was none at Big W Melbourne CBD. I think it's awesome value, it's huge and I can't wait to assemble it this weekend!
MicroM Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 I too noticed the Police Station for $88 so grabbed it. I did notice that Big's stocks were plentiful before the drop, not so now. So I think the lesson is, grab it while you can. I also notice my Kmart heavily re-stocked with the Police Command Centre - though still for sale at $68 (or thereabouts). Wonder if that will be part of the Toy Sale bargains??

Hey, I have to occasionally show some backbone in the face of those lingering stares, those slightly glum looks as we turn away from the Lego section empty handed, otherwise all hell will break loose... I mean, just imagine it, the walrus running free, filling his blue bucket with every set that catches his eye, showing no restraint what so ever... It's plain scary.

Toyworlds will by in the second sale which might be including these Kingdoms and Train sets - I will check with my usual Toyworld stores (they know me well by now) and see if when they expect this new stock to arrive ! I actually had a dream once where I ran amok and bought every Lego sets...then I woke up (nooooooooooooooooo........) Anyway, I have finished putting the mammoth that is the Police HQ set together and it's definitely worth the money. My only complaint as usual is putting the stickers on things, I'm just not very good at lining them up. Up until now, all the policemen in my town have been hanging around the pizza corner place so they now have a place to call home - they can thank their mayor the chibi_joker (awwwww.... ).

I can confirm from Lego Australia, that the train sets - Passenger, Cargo, etc are not Toyworld Exclusives. They will be general release - Toyworld just must have exclusive on the early drop.
