Toys r us have a sneak peek (no prices) for their catalogue. Only things there are Indi temple of doom set, some atlantis and toy story, rather underwhelming. Glad I spent all my money at Myer yesterday.

Thanks 'Hewman' for the heads up on TRU......three words BIG SMEGGING DEAL !

TRU toy sale is the worst of the mid year ones - I thought they might have at least their truck/toy shop combo - but no !

Also they have minifigs hidden in the sweets section near their point of sale - oh, and Imagine If stores in SA now have minifigs too - they only got them two days ago - $ 3.99 - but I think they still have a 10% of Lego sale, plus Toy Corner's sale finishes real soon too !

I'm a conformist! ! :sweet:

Thanks Ace, no wonder I could never find the figs at Toys r Us. I didn't know imagine if had the figs. I'll have to have a look at lunch time. I might just take pot luck on what I get.

Just got back from Big W at Tea Tree Plaza with a pig farm for $47.66. It and all of the other new and on sale Lego can be found near the cash registers (head toward the garden section if you're thinking of going for a look see)

They are also selling the big police station from last year for $88 and Luke's Landspeeder for $42.87...

I didn't bother pricing anything else, sorry, as they were the only three things that tempted me...

Thanks turtle, great to have another Adelaidean here. I'm thinking about the pig farm and TTP is only 15 minutes away so I might have to look this weekend.

Edit: I just looked on ebay and there are only a few new listings for the imperial flagship, emerald knight and cargo train, so that's good news, it looks like a lot of fans of the sets managed to get their hands on them rather than all going to re-sellers. Anyone built their flagship yet? I spent 15 minutes just drooling at the box. I'd recommend the lego lanterns to anyone, they're very cute and give a soft night light type glow, but I'm sure they'd chew up the batteries if you used them all the time.

That's.... my local Myer too, didn't know there were any EB members in my vicinity  PacFair Myer's been somewhat lax everytime I've visited, their last "Buy 2 get 2 free", the lady there also took into account my Myer One discount so not sure who you got.

You doing happen to be going to the midnight Toy Sales at Robina right?

I have seen posts here and there about the midnight sales, but I'm not sure exactly when and where each of them are. I live down in Tweed and don't drive, so I'm not too sure about catching a bus up to Robina and back around midnight. If our Tweed Big W is going to have a midnight sale I can easily walk down there, but I'm not sure if they do that, they had a sign in the store saying their sale starts at 6am.

I've just returned from Myer Roselands (Sydney) – called beforehand and they had 3 Imperial Flagships – by the time I got there half an hour later there was only 1! I wasn't a Myer One member but they asked me if I wanted to sign up at the counter and get the 10% discount - yay. Got the giant Mario bag but no LEGO membership.

They had run out of Emerald Nights and Cargo Trains (and now Imperial Flagships) but had 7 Fire Stations, Lamborghinis, Train Station, Space Police Central, a lot of stock generally.

I forgot to say in my earlier post...

For anyone intersted, I spotted a half dozen copies of the DK Lego Star Wars book (the one with the celebration Luke minifig embedded on the cover) in the Tea Tree Plaza Target's book department for $35 each...

I was there first thing on Saturday. They had at least 12 or so imperial flagships. So i'm amazed. Either its very zealous Lego lovers or very canny Ebay sellers doing the buying.

Got to Myer yesterday 10 minutes before close. Walked straight past the massive Lego section in a hurry to get to where it (tiny section) usually is... found it on the way out haha. At long last they had all the new SP3 (too bad I've got enough already) but for some reason I got another Raid VPR. No K-9 Bot!!!  Will head into town & try other places during lunch break. There was a huge range of Toy Story, Atlantis, City, Star Wars too. They had a very large table with only two boxes left standing up, both were the cargo train. 3 fire stations and 1 other big set (I forget what - Star Wars I think) were all that was left of the other "big set" table. I asked the young guy at the counter if they sold many train sets, he said "heaps - it was amazing". Didn't ask about Flagship. They had a few of the police car left, about half of the Space Police Central. There were a few empty shelves but for the most part it appeared that the big sets went and little else. I think that means the AFOLs & Christmas layby parents turned up and not many others?

On a side note, I find (local) Myer customer service to be very poor. The only person waiting in the queue, 3 employees right there, 2 registers, yet I had to wait a few minutes for them to wrap up the previous transaction (that was paid & bagged before I got there, what the heck were they doing?). This is not an isolated case, in the past I've had to go looking to ask if someone was going to come to a customer service desk so that a customer could make a purchase. Other times I've stood there for long periods while the "service" people are having a gas-bag behind the counter. How rude?! Is it this terrible at Myer everywhere else or just ours? Every other department store here is fine. (Although the K Mart checkout chicks/dudes are very slow, and Target has very long queues, not enough registers open.)

I actually think their terminals are outdated. Their is so much involved if the salesperson needs to make a modification or a change. I realise its expensive to upgrade IT. but those terminals look like circa 1990.

Best idea is to ring up and put things on hold now, as there is not much left. 3 emerald nights at Miranda.

For Melbournians, I rang Myer Highpoint and they have some Imperial Flagships left. Emerald Night all sold out.

Melbourne CBD - all Imperial Flagships and Emerald Night goooooone since yesterday.

Cheers!

Report from my lunch time sojourn around the Adelaide CBD:

Toys R Us had stacks of Temple of Doom sets, in preparation for the sale next week, currently marked at the unbelievable price of $139.99

They had lots of impulse sets but none of the Kingdoms ones. They had pirates, space police and atlantis as well as city ones.

No sign of collectible figs there but I'm not that bothered, their quality has been mediocre and I prefer to have sets for my figs to live and play in.

Went to Myer armed with yesteday's receipts for purchases over $50, and staff were lovely and gave me two lego club application forms to fill in, then I saw there's a limit to one per customer, so I guess I'll pass on my receipt and application form to a friend. But more surprisingly they had 7 or 8 imperial flagships available (I was tempted to get another but I have no idea why I would need two or where I could display them at the same time). I did see a guy in his 20s buying one and looking pretty happy with it, I wonder if it's someone here. There were also some fire stations and a couple Endor sets there, but no sign of trains (excl. Toy Story).

I started building my flagship last night, the box was impressively full compared to recent sets I've bought. My baby girl was screaming on my lap though while my wife got some sleep so I didn't make much progress.

When my wife discovered how cheap the flagship was she suggested I get another; as she pointed out it's hard to have much of a pirate battle with one ship! To make things even cuter she dressed my girl in a pirate outfit for us to pick it up!

Glad to hear most people got what they were after, and huge thanks to those of you that gave me a heads up regarding the flagships! I'd thank you all via PM but I'm viewing the mobile Eurobricks site on my phone and can't figure out how...

It's interesting who you meet in a Kmart......like the local rep !

The only new thing I can tell you is that TRU will be doing a HUGE Lego promo in August/September, that's all he could say. He refused to say what Target was getting though for their big sale, dam it - aw well pay the waitting game I suppose !

Almost 50 bucks for the farm, crap - but Luke's speeder - nice under 43 bucks - hello LAYBY department at BigW !

Went to Sydney CBD and Bondi Junction today to stock up on Persia stuff but disappointingly almost none of that was left!

Masses of everything else in both stores, including the Exclusives, Cargo Train, and Emerald Night. So clearly there is stock in reserve. Don't forget you can still order online for the extra 10% off and an $8 shipping fee for the rest of today if, for example, you missed out on the Emerald Night.

I noticed in the City store that some of the Cargo Train and Fire Brigade sets had wires and some kind of lock security device on them - first time I've seen that. Went to K-Mart and noticed that the Tantives IV had the same kind of wire-gift-wrap security device. Interesting!

At K-Mart the Atlantis mech thing was already at $54 although most other sets seemed at pre-sale prices (Wampa was $79).

I was half intending to see what I could pick up from the Myer sale during the 2 days the Myer One discount was applicable, until I found out that the 10% is taken off AFTER the 20% discount, meaning it didn't quite add up to 30% off like I initially believed :sceptic:.

Was just at Myers Sydney CBD again, couldn't resist and got the emerald night, tracks, train station, technic loader. All up about $254. I used my $200 gift voucher so it all cost me $54.

Yay for Myers.

There was still heaps of stock of most of those major big sets. Buy slightly lower than yesterday

That's pretty standard. It still works out as 0.9 x 0.8 of the original price which gives you 28% off.

The one I noticed that had lowest stocks was the Toy Story Pizza Planet Truck - only 1 in the CBD and 2 at Bondi J.

Thanks for the heads up on the pricing . This seems like a great price - worthy of BigW actually calling their event a Toy Sale (unlike some of Kmarts "deals").
