Today I saw pig farmer impulse sets at TRU Miranda. $4.99. I wish the farmer was a little bit more unique, as the only thing worthwhile is the pig.

Okay so the farmer impulse has appeared at TRU......I thought so......a few weeks ago I met the SA rep at a Kmart, and he told me TRU was going to do a HUGE Lego promo !

Around the end of August into September - so they must have there two City and one SW exclusives plus a few extras - the farmer must just be TRU !

I assume this is what he's referring to

Toys R' Us - Lyrics to US 80's commercial

"I don't wanna grow up, I'm a Toys R' Us kid. A million toys to choose from, that I can play with. From bikes to trikes and video games, its the biggest toy stor there is. GEE WIZ! I don't wanna grow up, cuz baby if I did....I wouldn't be a toys r' us kid!"

Ah. I wasn't alive in the 80s so that would explain that.

ummmmmmm.... according to my memory we had (radio) ads for T**w**** in the 80s & 90s with the opening line "I don't wanna grow up" & ending with "T**w**** is for kids" but I couldn't decipher the rest as it was sung by children with their pants pulled up to their necks. (ie very high)

Now I'll clear it up.......a Toyworld store manager told me series 2 was not on this months buying list for selling in September.....so with TRU having a huge promo for Lego in September....having someone already spy farmer impulse at a TRU plus I was giving the series 2 catalogue number by a TRU manager back in around May !

Go figure for yourself about series 2 in Oz.....I say first round will go TRU exclusive and maybe everyone else who had series 1 after the promo is all done and dusted. A phone call to Lego might not go astray eh ?

That might explain the Wizzard impulse sighting someone made a while back.

TRU may be getting both the Farmer and Wizzard for their big September event (and hopefully the Court Jester too)

It's gone, and this time it only applied to things marked 'Toys and Games' (which Architecture sets were not.)

There's currently a 10% off one (but I deleted the email) but every other week there seems to be a 20% off or sometimes a 30% off.

Thanks to hewman, I now solely visit fbtb just because they always post the best discount codes

I just sent this link to ISC, it shows all the BN codes BN coupons. However they seem to have got wise to the discounts people were getting on Lego as almost all Lego is now excluded from coupon discounts, although if they're in the top 100 sellers of toys they permanently have 10% off.

Svelte, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about not being able to use coupons in the last week or so for Lego.

Anyway, once the star wars sets are there, they'll be cheaper than you could get in Aus, even at a 20% off sale.

Both the Wizard and the Farme impulses were purchased by MUGS members at Chadston Vic this weekend. Saw them with my own eyes. I think they came from TRU.

Anyone ever got lego from amazon US?, thinking about getting a couple of them SW BM sets.

Unfortunately, Amazon don't ship toys to Australia.

I picked up a wizard and a farmer from toys r us garden city (QLD) on tuesday last week, they had tons of wizards but not many farmers. I couldn't see any jesters though

How much are they charging for them?

Went looking for $17 Hoth sets at my local K-Mart in WA on Saturday, no joy. Also popped into BigW and can confirm:

3221 Lego Truck $43.87

8093 Plo Koon Fighter $36.72

8095 Grevious Fighter $78.74

8096 Palpy Shuttle $97.62

Didn't buy any, but I did walk out with an awesome Boba Fett helmet for $66.88! In the same vain as the previous Vader/Optimus/Clone Trooper helmets with electronic talky buttons. Sorry for the non-Lego post, but I just *had* to share.

I was able to get a wizard set yesterday at garden city, but all the farmers were gone :-) - just not fast enough

Anyone with Kmart clearance sales experience, do you know how often they drop the prices of items on clearance? I saw the creator fire truck drop from $76 to $50 to $35, but I wonder if it will go even lower?

I doubt it....Ingle Farm's fire trucks dropped to 35 bucks.....all gone in less than 24 hours.

Only in a while a cancelled layby put back on the shelf might be you only chance.

Agreed. I've checked four or five K-marts out since LT posted the $50 on Creator Firetrucks, and there's none left since it dropped to $35. Cannon Hill had 3 others when I got mine @ 50, they were gone 2 days later. So if you've found one still available @ $35, grab it now.

The one I'm not sure on is the Farm. Currently $80 from $99, but they don't seem to be shifting very quickly. So there's a chance that it might drop further?

Can't speculate on the SW reductions as I don't go for it, but I've seen them still in stock at all K-marts visited so far, so they may drop as well.

Questions: anyone used S@H before? What time-frame should I anticipate for delivery? Do they post from Denmark or locally? I'm kinda over rushing home from work before the post office closes to see if there's a card in the letter box (and finding that there isn't - sigh, looks like it's a movie night again).

Artanis I; I bought two lots from S@H recently. An Order I submitted I received in 10 days. Another order I am waiting, it has been 15 days so far (but it has PAB in it which takes longer!), I got "shipped" notice couple of days ago so should receive it soon.

Interestingly the parcel I received before was shipped from Singapore!

Arrived yesterday, picked it up from the depot today. 18 days total. It says on the courier label the distribution centre is in Singapore, but on the box the sticker says it shipped from Billund, Denmark. The spaceman magnet figure came included (I understand some have received it separately).

Typical, a Bricklink mega lot and an eBay item also arrived last night/today so tonight I'll have 2 castles, 7 small or medium sets, the new Kingdoms impulses and some minifig packs to open & build... and I want to take photos... and I want to build them ALL tonight. Don't think I'll have enough time to enjoy the moment somehow, haha.

It looks like Toys R Us are definitely getting the new impulse sets before anyone else. I just saw the wizard and farmer in Adelaide, plenty of each so I'd suggest they just don't have the jester yet.

I hit all 4 TRU stores in Perth today and no sign of any farmers or wizards (or jesters), nor did the clueless staff members know a thing about them.

Nothing whatsoever of interest in any of those stores.

No sign of any "sale" signs at the one Big W I was able to hit.

Lots of Toy Story 1+2 sets at various levels of discount in various stores.
