To anyone close to a BigW store, I just purchased the following two sets at 50% OFF clearance price......

Star Wars Freeco Speeder 8085 $21.94 each

Star Wars Droid Tri-Fighter 8086 $21.94 each

I did check other BigW stores but they had the normal $42 shelf price, but there might be other stores

around Australia which have the same clearance prices....worth checking.

Can I ask which Big W this was at?

I check my local and they were still $42

I've got my card filled in and ready to go! I've been meaning to pop by all week and pick something out but haven't had the chance yet - maybe tomorrow with a bit of luck!

I think thats a great idea offering a 10% straight up anytime. Considering the best the big stores offer up is about 20% a few weeks per year anyway, being able to get 10% anytime will save me the hassle of watching out for sales.

For those of you in Perth:

Myer in Booragoon had restocked the shelves - a lot of Star Wars, Fire Services and Train stuff. So if you want to take advantage of the deal, now's the time! There was also load of the games on a trolley, waiting to shelved, maybe can get those.

What I remember seeing:

Star Wars sets - Plo Koon's ship, Slave I, General Grievous' ship and Palpatine's Shuttle

Trains - Train Station, Passenger Train and the Cargo Train

Other than that there was leftover Atlantis and SP3.

Called my local Target today, just because I could!

Well I wanted to see if there was any news about series 2 minifigs, but no.

However they did have 6 new boxes of series 1, when I got there 3 were still sealed and only about 10 gone out of the opened boxes.

I got a couple I needed to fulfil a sealed set, plus a couple of extras.

They also had all the trains in, only 1 Cargo train though.

There was lots of SW but I dont collect then so couldn't tell you if they were rare.

Every thing was full price :hmpf_bad:

Has Myer restocked with new stuff yet? I'm wondering if there's anything good before the Buy 2 Get One Free sale ends Sundee.

I'm on the Gold Coast:

Myer Pacific Fair still have a shedload of Fire Brigade 10197s - I bought 3 for the price of 2 last weekend, But they were full price ($299) and they have nothing new to show.

Target at Helensvale have a stack of Cargo Trains, but they are also at full price $300. I managed to pick one of those up the last day of their 20%off sale = $240

It's interesting to note that Target's new pricing policy seems to do away with $xx9 pricing and they now price everything at round numbers (eg, $300 instead of $299)

I did notice that Kmart at Ipswich seem to have the full line of new Lego Games I'd not seen anywhere else.

Breaking news re: Minifigures Series 1; Target have been restocked, well, at least my local anyway. Target at Castle Hill (near Parramatta) had six boxes stting on the shelf today, so I took it upon myself to pillage the contents of one of them!! I asked the nearest Target girl, she said that they had been restocked in the last couple of days. So, if you're still after some figs, check your nearest Target Store.

Sounds like the catalogue was right and they did do a restock of Series 1 default_thumbup.gif

Anyone who can get me some zombies or cheerleaders, PM me

Too bad Myer Sydney didn't stock anything new apart from Hero Factory before the buy 2 get 1 free offer expired.

I didn't see any on Saturday. Question: whereabouts in Target do they keep them?

A report from Toys R Us in Morley, they now have farmers and wizards in stock. There was also a report that they will be getting a new shipment of product this week (Wednesday/Thursday I believe). Hopefully the City Public Transport is in that shipment.

If anyone comes across these figures in Victoria, please let me know. Have rung a few local Targets and they all have told me that they haven't seen these figures for months ....

At the Target's that I've seen them in, they're right in the middle of the Lego shelves.

Rang my local one today too, no joy, though the girl did say they were restocking after the toy sale and they were expecting a new lego shipment tomorrow so will try again then

This is a question for all of those in Brisbane. I'll be there on the weekend on the way to Far North Queensland and was wondering what the toyworld in the Myer Centre is like as I'll be staying right near there. Do they have many sets not available at shop at home any more?

Thanks

Its been a while since i went their but it always used to be rubbish, but they did used to have old stock around.

Thanks. It's a 5 minute walk away so not a big deal if it turns out to be a waste of time.

Who wants to guess how much the Imperial Shuttle UCS is going to be for Aus buyers (excluding our over the top shipping cost), well it's $260 US, which is a little under $300 AUD, but we get another 50% chucked on top of that, $450!

Is TLG trying to price itself out of the market here? What exchange rates are they looking at? 2002? This is a statement and not a question?

0 out of 4 shops for minifig search today. And got stuck in school traffic. On a steep hill. About a dozen handbrake starts before I got to the top...

Disappointing but not really surprising. At least they resisted the urge just to double it and make it $500 default_hmpf.gif

I will be very interested to see where the Tower Bridge falls in the pricing range. If they make that more than $400 then I know LEGO really has gone off the deep end.

Okay, blow your mind time......BigW.....and you thought the mid-year toy sale was big.....selected city, TS, TS3 and SW sets reduced - example city garage 85 bucks !!! *oh2*

WTF and OMG at that price I'll stick one on layby.

But and here's the but.....it might be online sales only.....must check a BigW today...unless someone beats me to it !

I'm a conformist! ! :sweet:

The BigW website has now labeled the City Garage as unavailable online, so you might be able to get it for $85 at the store...!

I can't confirm this though, I went to my 2 local stores and they were all out.

Where did you get this info?.

www.legoshop.com

And as Svelte said, the percentage difference isn't that surprising, it just seems so much worse with such an expensive set. With shipping it will be close to $500. The disappointing thing is it's difficult to get big exclusives from the US, as you have to go through a third party that will want their cut on top of RRP and pay a lot for shipping.
