Siegfried Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 Is that halfire special still on? When does it finish? Last day Wednesday. I got one; it has a Clone Wars box...
hollisbrick Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 Last day Wednesday. I got one; it has a Clone Wars box... Thanks, might get one soon (like in an hour or so) Is it worth the bike ride? ??
Svelte Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 Last day Wednesday. I got one; it has a Clone Wars box... They retrospectively rebadged the Hailfire set as a 'Clone Wars' set when the August wave hit. You'll notice it's now a CW set on Lego's SW site too. Bricklink also has separate listings for the different boxed versions of the re-release.
Siegfried Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 Is it worth the bike ride? ?? I think it's a good set at that price.
hollisbrick Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 I think it's a good set at that price. True...I think I'll get it!!! Can I please of the dimensions of the box please If its not too much trouble, I need to see if it fits into my backpack.
Siegfried Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 Can I please of the dimensions of the box please If its not too much trouble, I need to see if it fits into my backpack. 29cm x 29cm Since I've done a favour for you, could you resize your avatar; 800 x 966 pixels is too big.
Darth_Legois Posted December 1, 2008 Author Posted December 1, 2008 Thanks, might get one soon (like in an hour or so) Is it worth the bike ride? ?? Im goin' to Garden city this afternoon, Hopefully to get another Imperial BP & a HSD They retrospectively rebadged the Hailfire set as a 'Clone Wars' set when the August wave hit. You'll notice it's now a CW set on Lego's SW site too. Bricklink also has separate listings for the different boxed versions of the re-release. Makes sense.....I guess. I think it's a good set at that price. Its ok. But the HSD won me over.....Mainly the clones. True...I think I'll get it!!! Can I please of the dimensions of the box please If its not too much trouble, I need to see if it fits into my backpack. Why dont you just ask the exact weight while your at it... Cant you just ride with one hand while holding it with the other? 29cm x 29cmSince I've done a favour for you, could you resize your avatar; 800 x 966 pixels is too big. Haha...Woah 800 x 966 I think mine is under 100 x 100 something like 100 x 90 or something...
Siegfried Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 They retrospectively rebadged the Hailfire set as a 'Clone Wars' set when the August wave hit. I only notice this last week! I think mine is under 100 x 100 something like 100 x 90 or something... [/color] It's 183 x 197 pixels. Excessive, but OK. (Many of mine are 200x200...)
hollisbrick Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 29cm x 29cmSince I've done a favour for you, could you resize your avatar; 800 x 966 pixels is too big. Cant you just ride with one hand while holding it with the other? NOw that would be silly wouldnt it
Siegfried Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 NOw that would be silly wouldnt it That's not silly; I'll tell you silly! When I was doing a course in San Diego my only way to get around was with a bike I bought. I needed a new suitcase so I carried it home in one hand while riding with the other. It was interesting, especially around corners...

Thanks, sure thibng, I will look at the tutorials to know how Anyway im goin now so cya in the "what I bought today" thread NOw that would be silly wouldnt it Cya there! Not really. That's not silly; I'll tell you silly! When I was doing a course in San Diego my only way to get around was with a bike I bought. I needed a new suitcase so I carried it home in one hand while riding with the other. It was interesting, especially around corners... Point proven HB. How did you carry your blue bucket aswell? Well, Off I go to Garden City!
Siegfried Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 General Grevious seems to have gone back up to full price... (Probably because K-Mart have it this week.)
hollisbrick Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 General Grevious seems to have gone back up to full price... (Probably because K-Mart have it this week.) for 1/2 price? Btw the Halfire droid is pretty good, definately not worth $40 so $30 was alright! Btw I modded the wheels so the work better Well Actually I moved about 4 pieces
natelite Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 for 1/2 price?Btw the Halfire droid is pretty good, definately not worth $40 so $30 was alright! Btw I modded the wheels so the work better Well Actually I moved about 4 pieces no. $34 off. from $159, so around $125. which is silly considering you can get from s@h for $130 (plus massive shipping cost but that wasn't the point). mars mission sets might be worth it but that's a crappy theme. :P

Btw I modded the wheels so the work better Well Actually I moved about 4 pieces HSD is better.... Which is what I got for the "sale" price of $40 at TRU BigW Garden City had hardly any LEGO let alone one BP..... But I got 5574 to make up for it for $20....I always need more bricks! And I used my last B'day voucher [so it all only cost me $40] Commander Fox & Clonetrooper are Awesome
Svelte Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 no. $34 off. from $159, so around $125. which is silly considering you can get from s@h for $130 (plus massive shipping cost but that wasn't the point). mars mission sets might be worth it but that's a crappy theme. :P It's obviously the new trend - same thing with TRU's HSD and David Jones Volkswagen - mark it up and then mark it down back to the original retail price! I am not even sure if the big Mars Mission sets are worth it even for parts at $50, especially the base. Unless you like technic and white plates/ slopes with a bit of trans-orange thrown in. And yes, Darth_Legois, Commander Fox *is* awesome - probably the nicest torso from the CW line
