Went into Myer in Adelaide at lunch and 20% off all toys until the 10th. They had most of the new Harry Potter sets too. Did someone here mention something about a Myer One offer this week? Does anyone have any further info on it?

Best bet if you want HP is to just do what I plan to do tommorow (i.e. Thursday), ring all the stores you have the ability to easily get to until someone can shed light on who has some.

If I find any, I will be sure to post on EB.

For those who cannot wait for Toyworld to get the City House in stock, BTTW has them.....except they want five cents under a hundred bucks......I'll wait and save 30 bucks eh ?

I'm a conformist! ! :sweet:

Target Adelaide had 5 or 6 Cad bane speeders at about 8:45 this morning, the three smallest Harry Potter sets were also in abundance. Although the stack of collectable figs that were present on Tuesday seem to have disappeared.

For those interested in saving an extra dollar (well 80 cents after discount). A couple of the Harry Potter sets at Myer are slightly cheaper than Target, $179 no cents for castle and I think it was $119 for the train, although The Burrow was $89.95. all before the current 20% off that is.

Edit: A bit off topic I know but is anyone interested in just purchasing the figs (plus accessories including invisibility coat and I think there might be a couple cool printed tiles in that bag as well), owls and Weasley car (with instructions) from Hogwart's express for $50? If so I'll grab myself another one to get an extra carriage. Just send me a PM if interested.

Confirmed sighting at Target Miranda. Shelves full of all 6 sets of Harry Potter LEGO at front of store, 20% off.

Plus they have fresh boxes of minifigs (minus a few pharaohs I bought) at the registers, $3.00 each.

No HP at Miranda Myer or Big W, though the latter has the Jester, Wizard, and Pig Farmer impulses, $4.88 each.

MYER Perth has stock of just about everything except Harry Potter (including I believe one modular fire station left although dont quote me on that)

Big W at Whitfords has the 2 smallest HP sets but none of the big ones.

Target at Whitfords though has all 6 sets. They arent with the other LEGO though, they are in a "promotional" display.

And yes, all 6 sets were for sale at RRP then discounted by 20% (bought the Burrow, Express and Castle myself)

Picked up Burrows, Hagrids hut and freeing dobby this morning from Target

They also had a bunch of Trains that they didnt have last week too, atleast 6 passenger sets and 5 cargo sets

I like that with the Potter sets especially Burrows the box feels full, not like some of the starwars sets of recent times where you have a box that size and it feels empty

Hogwarts castle has a lot of empty space in it.

But its a GREAT set and surprisingly good value (especially when you factor in the 11 minifigs (including the statue), cat, rat, bat, owls x 3 and many other great parts.

Still got the Express and Burrows to build :)

Gah..still can't find them. Tried target at bull creek again which has nothing, and big w at success and livingston only have the two smaller sets.

I suggest ringing a few Target stores and asking around.

If you cant get to Whitfords, try Carousel, Fremantle or East Victoria Park (as the other target stores in that neck of the woods)

Some Target stores are better than others. Bullcreek in particular seems to be lousy for LEGO, as does the CBD store.

Calling ahead sounds like a good idea. Do they know what you're talking about when you call?

I checked out Carousel and East Vic Park yesterday and they had nothing. Maybe they'll be in today.

No S2 minifigs available either.

Yeah, I felt the same way. Got mine from a Big-W. I wasn't there personally but I was told all was there except the castle.

Depends on the store, sometimes they do know what you are talking about, sometimes they dont.

Oh yeah as of last night (Thurs) Big W in Whitfords had all 3 impulse sets (farmer, jester and wizard)

Also, David Jones Perth CBD had (as of Friday Night) several copies of the Grand Emporium priced at RRP.

Should I:

A.Buy it at RRP to guarantee myself a copy?

B.Put one on lay-by and pay it off over time?

or C.Wait and hope for a sale? (and hope that there is still stock left when that happens?)

DJs had plenty of stock of everything else including Harry Potter, Creator and City (and a couple of copies of the modular fire station)

So anyone in Perth who cant find HP, cant get to stores north-of-the-river that have stock and dont mind paying RRP, go to David Jones in the CBD for your stock :)

Grand Emporium eh? (squeals like little girl) Man, I'm in the same boat as you..c) would prob be the way to go for me..specially since the Green Grocer just Arrived this week. My wifes understanding but not THAT understanding ..especially as im about to spend 400$ or so on Harry Potter stuff.

I might have to pay a visit to Garedn city anyway, just to have a look at it you understand,,

I dont even know where the lego section is in a DJ's

What level at garden city?? I might have to pay a visit on payday

David Jones in Garden City does not carry toys (unless that's changed since I was last there)

I think I too will probably hold off for a bit, if there IS a sale, someone will find out and post in here. If not, maybe I can buy once my tax thingo clears or my bank ballance looks better.

That way I can go and buy the 3 smaller harry potter sets (and complete my collection) tomorrow (if I can find a Target store that has em that's reachable without causing me to miss my hair appointment). Also need to keep money around for the City House (which STILL hasn't shown up yet :( )

I think that you two are getting a little confused. Please keep in mind that there are at least two Garden City shopping centres in Australia, one in Brisbane, one in Perth. Both with a DJ's inside.

The DJ's at the Garden City in Brisbane has toys - on the lower level near the kids wear - I've always found the city store to have a bigger variety

I was refrring to the Garden city in WA, i didn't specify as I thought i had already mentioned WA in my previous posts but, yeah, if you just read that post by itself it could be a little confusing. Sorry. As to it not carrying toys...? Damn.. I can't really get into Perth.

The guy from Bull Creek target told me that they do have the HP sets but that they aren't on the shelf yet

He rummaged around in the boxes and told me that they DID have all 6 sets and that yes, they could sell them to me (he put the 3 small ones on hold since those were the ones I wanted)

So to those south-of-the-river looking for HP who cant get to parts north to buy it, go to Bull Creek and ask to speak to someone in the toy section who can then find the items (that's if they havent already put them on the shelf by the time you get there)

For anyone in Adelaide that wants a $30 Kingdoms advent calendar, head down to ImagineIf Newton, they have 25% off all stock today and two of the calendars in stock. They also have some of the smaller lego games.
